The Tragedy of Rohan Ashford

So very few servants of Heenar get to etch out such a large part in the history of Belleruta. Most Clerics spend their time curing ailments and spreading the word of their god. Rohan certainly did that, but also along the way he would assist in slaying various demons, creatures and is even known for banishing Mihnja from the mortal plane.

Coming from humble beginnings, Rohan was an orphan taken in by a temple of Heenar, and raised in their tenants ever since. After seeing the doom that the demons could bring about, he decided to dedicate his life to fighting off the demonic scourge wherever it rears its ugly head.

Living in Vecknah, Rohan stayed in one of the many boarding houses. This is where his fate would change forever when he met Jane Monreau, Armstrong, and eventually Soma Bladeswith. This would put him on his path to become one of Daemarrel’s greatest clerics and a future advisor of Kudemesh’s future queen Velphi. He would also meet his wife Kindrael during this time. She would later be killed during Minhja’s uprising.

Rohan’s life would come to an end when he went to avenge his wife’s death and to save Belleruta from certain doom. Rohan in an effort to do what he thought was right and to redeem himself for things he still felt guilty for, his life was ended, but in turn also wiped Minhja from the mortal plane.

Rohan and his friends are to thank for Belleruta lasting past that point. Rohan is remembered in the legends as the savior of Belleruta and the resurrector of Haqi, along with his friends, Soma, Jane, Amai, Velphi, Sarmenti, and Armstrong. He is remembered personally as a kind man with an unending loyalty to his friends.

The legends are always larger than the person, but in Rohan’s case, text could never match the impact he has had on this land.
