[Kurira]: “Just by the knee, right here.”
[Kell]: “…”
[Kurira]: “Kell?”
[Kell]: “Huh? Ahh, yeah, but…”
I’ve been laying my leg for almost half an hour now, but he clearly can’t do it.
[Kell]: “I’m, I’m sorry, I just can’t…”
[Kurira]: “Hey, look at me. You can do it. I believe in you.”
Nodding as his sweat drops.
[Kell]: “O-Okay.”
A machete going up and it goes down. Blood splattered and I feel excruciating pain from it, but it’s still intact. Brows frowned as I try to keep my calm.
[Kell]: “O-Oh no.”
[Kurira]: “K-Keep going, Kell.”
Grinding his teeth, he took another swing. And then another, and then another.
[Kurira]: “Gaaahhhh!”
Finally.
[Kell]: “M-M-Miss Kurira, I’m sorry, I—.”
[Kurira]: “It’s okay!”
[Kurira]: “Hnngh… Haa…”
Fuck I didn’t think it’d hurt this fucking much! Grabbing my prosthetic leg, and stick it in my knee, but I designed it not as a prosthetic, but actually replacement from half of my leg. It continues cutting until it’s a proper fit and I just wait for it reattaches itself.
[Kurira]: “Gahhh, fuck!”
[Kell]: “Miss Kurira?!”
The instruction is that I shouldn’t be healed by anything, otherwise, it’ll mess up the process. This thing is still digging inside my leg, and when it’s done, it applies the medicine I put in there.
[Kurira]: “Hnngh, haa… haa…”

[Kurira]: “Goodness, alright. Finally.”
[Man 1]: “Here, miss Kurira.”
Some water, “Thank you…”
[Man 1]: “Jondi.”
[Kurira]: “Thank you, Jondi.”
*Gulp *Gulp *Gulp
[Kell]: “Pwah. Haa…”
Glancing at Kell, “Alright, one more.”
He shudders. I know how weak willed he is, but he’s the only one who has enough strength to make a dozen of chopping into a few.
[Kell]: “But, miss Kurira. Are you sure it’s, okay?”
[Kurira]: “Yeah, look, I can move it see? Like I said, I won’t hold it against you. Plus, I’ll give you all the good potions I have. Now, come on. Can’t be sitting here all day.”
Nodding hesitantly in an agreement, “Okay.”
Aiming the bloodied machete on my legs.
[Kurira]: “Oh, Kell.”
He shudders.
[Kurira]: “Try to chop it off clean in less than a few strikes, okay?”
Nodding awkwardly.

Cleaning off the blood, I made sure that I got every last drop soaked in a cloth and storing it into my storage M.A.T alongside my real legs. And everything feels alright, it’s like my legs never left me actually. The strength and balance need a little to get used to though.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
[Kell]: “U-Um, miss Kurira?”
[Kurira]: “Hm? Oh right, here you go. Your payment, Kell.”
[Kell]: “I was about to say, um… R-Right.”
I wear the Bangle of the Earthshaker again and store my M.A.T back into my dimensional pocket which is something I made up. I don’t know where it went actually.
My brows raised. I realized that the people are still staring at me.
[Kell]: “Miss Kurira, we noticed that you are wearing those same rags that Travelers use, but we’re wondering if you’re actually are one.”
[Kurira]: “Hm? I am.”
[Kell]: “R-Right, of course, it’s a stupid question. Shouldn’t even need to ask, um… actually, we figured that you might need some… clothes, err, equipment and a place to stay.”
[Kell]: “We’re about to get back, so we were wondering if you’d like to come with us back to town? I can recommend you to an inn and a tailor.”
Looking at him in the eye, wondering what’s exactly is going on, but he never tries to leave my gaze. His eyes really are full of worries. It almost made me chuckle.
For an NPC to really be worrying about me, but I guess it’s time I settle down a bit. I need to catch up on my M.A.T too and maybe find a way to earn golds now.
[Kurira]: “Sure. I mean, if you guys wouldn’t mind me.”
[Man]: “Nonsense,” said one in the back, “You’re always welcome with us, miss Kurira. Ain’t that right, boys?!”
[Men]: “Ou!”
[Jondi]: “Your potions, wraps really helps us a lot, miss Kurira. Please, let us return the favor for once.”
[Kurira]: “Haha, you don’t owe me anything, Jondi. None of you people do. I’ve received my payments and you’ve received my products, it’s as simple as that.”
He smiles. Kell wraps his hand around his shoulder.
[Kell]: “Alright, why don’t we start moving out before the sun goes down, huh? It’s a long way home.”
And with that, the group and I head out.
Everyone is so cheery, and that’s quite lovely sight if I’m being honest. Reminds me of the old times when I have someone close to me in my arms.
Things I’d give to see her again.
[Jondi]: “Miss Kurira, is everything all—.”
*Rooooooar*
Eyes widened as a roaring sound of a monster was heard. It’s a large zebra tiger with four eerily big fangs on its jaw.
{Sabletiger / Level 50}
The men frightened as they see it.
[Kell]: “J-Jondi, come here, boy!”
Kell holding Jondi tightly as the men carefully tries not to make a single move, except me who is squeezing through them.
“M-Miss Kurira?”
“Wait, miss Kurira, it’s dangerous.”
“Miss Kurira?”
“Hey, you need to—.”
*Rawrrrr*
Grabbing an Arcane Powder Bomb. It oozes out arcane particles as I hold it with me. Taking a step forward, the tiger lunges at us and I throw the bomb as hard as I can. I don’t just aim for it to touch the ground. I want it to make a direct impact to its face.
*BOOM*
Blue flame in the explosion, smoke exhumes from the tiger’s body.
“B-By the divine.”
“What just…”
“Oi, that thing still moving!”
Now that’s quite surprising. I could throw another bomb, but it quickly hid into the forest and I’m not keen of leaving these guys alone.
“It left.”
“It left!”
“Ohhhhhh!”
“Miss Kurira! Miss Kurira just saved us!”
“Ouhhhhhhhhh!”
Heheh, the crowd really gets rowdy real quick. Shaking hands in turn just because of that, but I guess it’d be tough when I didn’t do that.
[Man 1]: “Thank you, miss Kurira.”
[Man 2]: “I’m so happy to have you with us.”
[Man 3]: “Thank you!”
[Kurira]: “Alright, alright, it’s nothing really. That thing is still alive, so it might come back.”
[Kell]: “No problem. I’ll report this to the baron, I’m sure the empire would like to keep his iron surplus well and healthy.”
[Man 1]: “Ye goddamn right they do.”
[Men]: “Hahaha…”
With a shaking head, it made me chuckle. This joyful and warm scenery eases my mind. Making me hopeful for what the future will holds.
[Kurira]: “Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul…”
“?”
“Eh?”
“What now?”
“Feathers?”
A wide grin and a fist clenched in the air, “To the town we go, boys!”
“!”
“Oouuuuuuuh!!!”
Before the sun is set, we arrived to a large town. A large circle walls covering those within from without. There is quite a large farm and pasture outside. Grains and sheep, I must say that it’s a good sight to see.
“Oi, the woman over there.”
“Ah, she’s with us.”
“Still need some id.”
“Oh come on, not some copper can’t give?”
“Silver.”
Clicking his tongue, “Bah, here, here.”
“Mm, alright, move along. Welcome to Clearwater Creek, young lady.”
Smiling at him.
Upon entering, the men scatter as we fare our goodbyes.
[Kell]: “This way, miss Kurira.”
Following Kell, we soon arrive to a clothing store called, Felifenli.
He knocks on the door, and a plump woman in a black and white dress comes out.
[Woman]: “Kell?! It’s closed, can’t you see?”
[Kell]: “I know, Muodi, but can you help this one for me? Put it on my tab, okay? I’ll pay you back tomorrow, I promise.”
[Muodi]: “What, a traveler?”
Looking at me up and down, but jolted when she sees my legs.
[Muodi]: “Alright, let’s see what you need. Come in.”
Inside, there’s quite an assortment of clothes neatly organized and displayed behind glass cases and rack mounts.
[Muodi]: “First and foremost, something to cover your legs maybe? Boots and such? Got any idea on what kind of top you like?”
[Muodi]: “Alright, this one, maybe? Here’s your leggings. You can change over there.”

[Kurira]: “What do you think, Kell?”
[Kell]: “Looks simple yet functional.”
[Kurira]: “Definitely the looks I’d go for.”
[Kurira]: “So, how much for these?”
[Kurira]: “Oh, I promise I’ll pay you back tomorrow.”
[Muodi]: “No need, it’s on the house.”
[Kurira]: “Really now.”
[Muodi]: “Well, I got the feeling you’ll be shopping again, and I hope I’ll have what you have then.”
[Kurira]: “Muodi, yes?”
She nodded.
Lifting my augmented hand for a shake.
She hesitates as she glances at me, but she shakes it. With a smile, I left the premises with Kell and we went our separate ways.
