Chapter 24: The Lamps Flickering Light

  Chapter 24: The Flickering Light

Qin Di slapped Qiao Mu with a very cool and handsome move, making him die before he could even show off his skills, but there was no joy of heroically saving the beauty afterwards.

Since ancient times, beautiful women have been prone to trouble. Qin Di didn't think that Qiao Mu would let things go after suffering such a great loss. He prepared himself for when Qiao Mu made his move, intending to teach him a lesson first. Unexpectedly, Qiao Mu's fierce words were just talk, and he didn't make a move at the first opportunity. Qin Di guessed that Qiao Mu had gone to call someone over, but he wasn't worried about it at all.

I feel guilty for having offended someone who seems to be a rather important figure, and I'm afraid the trouble I've stirred up won't be small.

Qin Di was a person who never liked trouble, but that didn't mean he was afraid of trouble now. No matter how big the reputation of the Jo Mu Gongzi was, was it comparable to the Ji family? He didn't mind using some connections to solve this trouble.

Compared to being troublesome, Qin Di disliked owing debts even more. This scourge in front of him, no matter how you put it, was his lifesaver after all.

However, Qin Di still felt a bit uneasy in his heart for having offended a formidable figure for no reason, so he took advantage of the situation with the mentality of not letting go of a good opportunity, and shamelessly hugged the beauty's slender waist.

Feeling anxious about that paw, her face turned red and she lowered her head, her heart beating rapidly, not daring to move.

Qin Di was completely absorbed in it, refreshing, elastic and full. He looked at the beautiful eyebrows that seemed to be about to speak but stopped, and were on the verge of tears, and indulged in a hearty massage!

"You, you, you know who he is? You dare to offend him? You're done for, Sir Cho will never let you off!"

A loud, earth-shattering scream pierced the air as the 60-year-old beauty finally came back to her senses from the shock. Her eyes wide with astonishment and incredulity, she stared at Qin Di, unable to believe that he didn't even put the number one son of Xu/Hui school district in his eyes. Qiao Mu's father was the secretary of the district committee, while his mother was the CEO of a multinational company's China branch, with immense wealth and power.

Such a rich second generation, was actually beaten by Qin Di ++ mother, 60 points beauty suspected that this guy has brain problems.

"Qin Qin, you go back first!" An Xin said with a frown.

The beautiful woman exclaimed in surprise: "Don't worry, you've gotten into big trouble! Let's go, let's hurry and leave, he has offended Young Master Qiao Mu, we'd better keep our distance from him!"

Calmly shaking off her outstretched hand, he said calmly: "You go back first!"

"You're crazy!" The beautiful woman with a score of 60 screamed, thinking that An Xin and the guy in front of her really had some relationship she didn't know about. If so, she didn't need to get involved in this trouble.

"Alright, I'll head back first. You be careful, Ge Mu Gongzi isn't someone who will take a loss easily." Opportunistic people usually know how to read the situation, and at least for now, the 60% beautiful woman had proven this point.

"Your friend is really loyal!" Qin Di watched as the 60-point beauty walked away without looking back, seemingly afraid of getting caught up in a storm. Qin Di stood upright and said with a straight face, "Ran faster than a rabbit, be careful who you make friends with!"

"It's just human nature, has nothing to do with loyalty." An Xin glared at him, then her face turned red and she said in a shy tone: "You, don't let go, do you really think I'm your girlfriend?"

"At least those two words 'husband' made me feel quite comfortable, I'm all soft inside!" Qin Di smiled.

"Looking for death!" An Xin raised her hand and slapped him, the young woman wasn't so easy to bully.

Qin Di quickly let her go, dodged the attack and smiled wryly: "This is a case of tearing down the bridge after crossing the river, pulling out the ladder after ascending to the top, repaying kindness with resentment."

"This is called repaying kindness, no one owes anyone!" An said with a straight face, but it's all nonsense!

Qin Di smiled, neither denying nor admitting, and for the first time seriously sized up this female knight who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Her figure was great but not overly flashy, 80 points; her facial features were delicate and could be scored 85 points; her waist was slender, her legs long enough, 75 points; her temperament was elegant, about 166 cm in height, 78 points. Wearing an ordinary coat that wasn't expensive or luxurious, paired with a deep blue pair of jeans, she didn't look like a rich girl, but rather more down-to-earth and easy to get along with, not too high and mighty, the kind of woman who could live a simple life with a man, yet also presentable in public as a virtuous wife and good mother.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Qin Di, Chinese department, sophomore class T16." After sizing him up for a few seconds, Qin Di extended his hand.

"Alright, freshman of Foreign Languages Department!" An Xin stretched out his hand and shook it slightly, seemingly still shaken by what had just happened. He said sincerely, "Thanks a lot today, or else I really wouldn't have known what to do."

Qin Di said disapprovingly: "Didn't you say that this is a matter of repaying kindness, and you are my lifesaver?"

"It's me who has caused you trouble!" An Xin had an expression that was a mix of guilt and embarrassment, with a hint of shyness, as if she wanted to say something but couldn't bring herself to do so.

Qin Di thought this was a matter of course, he wasn't a silly boy, didn't naively think that his performance just now was what they called a heroic rescue, nor was he so impressive as to make the female knight fall in love at first sight. So after a moment's silence, he decided to end this conversation: "If there's nothing else, then I'll take my leave!"

"I also want to go back and study!" An Xin thought for a moment and said.

Qin Di smiled and didn't wait for her to say "thank you" or anything like that, and said in a harmonious tone: "Alright then, I'm leaving!"

He walked away very neatly, without any hesitation or delay. Just as he counted to 10 in his heart, An Xin had already caught up with him, but didn't say a word. What a good kid! He must be feeling uneasy after being scolded by Li Qin earlier. So, Li Qin stopped and turned around to ask: "Do you have anything else?"

She smiled and said: "I'm going in the same direction as you!"

Qin Di said with some disappointment: "I thought you would be grateful and willing to pledge your body to me."

"Gratitude is true, no intention of sacrificing myself!" Walked up with a light and easy step.

Qin Di's face fell as he said, "Then wasn't I a hero for nothing?"

"Maybe it is!" She smiled brightly.

Qin Di once again wore a disappointed expression on his face, but he didn't tease this female knight who seemed to have a very thin skin.

So the two of them tacitly didn't speak a word, but instead strolled slowly on the campus streets, with the tree lamps' light stretching their shadows.

No awkwardness before meeting for the first time, no fluent conversation like old friends.

Qin Di's grasp of the situation was very good, and in the subsequent conversation, he neither overstepped his bounds nor made any progress.

This made An Xin, who was initially a bit shy, feel relaxed and her mood improved. She occasionally glanced at Qin Di, who was not far away from her, thinking about their first encounter, feeling both amused and like it was a fairy tale, finding it hard to associate the lake-jumping guy with this seemingly easy-going sunny boy in front of her. However, An Xin thought one thing was quite interesting - in their two encounters, they had helped each other out once.

Is this what they call fate?

She calmly denied it, but as soon as she thought of Qin Di's hands and feet in the water, which was equivalent to touching her all over her body, she couldn't help but glare at Qin Di with hatred. "I'm here!"

In Suozhen Xiao, the two stopped in their tracks.

Just as Qin Di thought they would part ways, An Xin suddenly chuckled and said: "Next time we meet, you must return my money, 500 yuan!"

Qin Di blinked stupidly, and An Xin had already walked into the girls' dormitory area. Just as she was about to reach a certain dormitory building, she inexplicably turned her head slightly, and Qin Di happened to be under a street lamp.

At that moment, An Xin suddenly had a feeling of sudden recollection, but the person was in the midst of a dazzling array of lanterns.
