The pnet shook as the Wave motion cannon hit Scion. The weapon meant to take out a star ripped through the barrier protecting Scion's true body and absolutely shredded the pnet-size space whale. The fleet of ship girls Laid waste to the creature, several of the battleships firing Katie shells and the destroyers unching nuclear-tipped tomahawks.
Unfortunately, the wave motion gun had one fw. It left the ship immobile after firing it. Scion in his dying breaths saw his opportunity, in a brilliant fsh of light Georgia was gone to the world. Gone but not forgotten, the bringer of the fleet has gone down in history as the savior of humanity.
======================================================
A glowing golden cube descended from the heavens, cutting through the atmosphere like a meteor yet moving with an uncanny grace. It seemed to radiate a golden light as it descended some unseen intelligence guiding it. The air around it shimmered with an heat, distorting the sky into waves of gold and azure.
Below said cube, the ocean stretched infinitely, its surface rippling with light waveas. The sun, now dwarfed by the brilliance of the descending object, cast fragmented beams of light onto the waves. Seagulls wheeled away, their cries swallowed by an eerie silence that seemed to envelop the world.
The cube struck the water with a soundless impact, a moment of perfect stillness before the ocean erupted in a geyser of golden mist. The spray hung in the air, glittering like molten stars, before cascading back into the depths. The cube, now submerged, continued to glow.==================
Georgia woke up in the middle of the ocean.
"No nd this time? Well at least it's not the ship graveyard. Wonder where I am? Is it even earth?" Georgia asks aloud, scanning the horizon.
"Hey!"
"No satellite signal? You're certain?" Georgia asks as she looks at her crew fairies to see they have become duck-chicken things.
"The wave motion engine, are we able to fire it up, or are we stuck going back to the nuclear boiler?" Georgia asks
"Hey!"
Georgia holds her robotic arm precariously.
"Yeah, well, that's what happens when we get mostly reliable tinker tech. Please try to get it running again. We've only got 18 years left with the reactor." Georgia says as her turbines spin up and begin to propel her forwards.
"Is the compass working?" Georgia asks rhetorically.
"Hey?"
"Alright, I'll broadcast over all our radio bands and start heading Northeast then," Georgia says.
The sound of hydraulics firing is heard as drones are catapulted into the air off of the stern of the rigging. Georgia was still working on the design for her fighter with Dragon when the fight with Scion broke out.=========================================================
Elsewhere.
"This is the USS Georgia! I am lost at sea and unable to find my location on the charts. Are there any ships out there capable of rendering assistance?"
"Georgia got lost again?" Vestal murmurs
"It would appear so Vestal," Enterprise says with a sigh.
"Her sense of direction is abysmal," Vestal says
"You want to respond, or should I?"
"Well I've trianguted her signal between the two of us so I'll do it," Vestal says
The radio suddenly cuts on. "Georgia this is Vestal, we've believe we have your location 5 nautical miles southwest of us," Vestal says
Suddenly, a radar wave sweeps over them.
"I've got you spotted I'm on my way," Georgia says over the radio.
"They gave her a radar?" Vestal says, shocked.
"I could've sworn Georgia was in the NA keeping Terpitz and Bismarck at bay with her accounting skills." Enterprise suddenly says
"Maybe the command saw fit to send her over here?" Vestal asks
"You think they would send the old pre-dreadnought secretary over here?" Enterprise asks
"Now that you mention it, I don't see her on radar. How would she be able to spot us?" Vestal asks
"That is a good question," Enterprise says, tightening her grip on her bow.========================
Georgia had her cell phone out and was surprised to see that she still had a GPS signal and a cell signal. Because her navigation system did not, then again, that cellphone managed to connect to her original Earth and allowed her to bring a lot of good music to Earth Bet.
"I'm fairly close to Hawaii." Georgia murmurs
Suddenly, over the horizon, Georgia is able to see CV-6, and Vestal pulled up alongside her.
"Enterprise!" Georgia shouts in joy over the radio, seeing the full size of the legendary Grey Ghost. It may not be her Enterprise. However, she still considered Big E her friend.
There are some fshes followed by a boom before a small pilr of water erupts in front of Georgia.
"Unidentified ship, cease your movement, deploy your ship, prepare to be approached and boarded." Enterprise voice says over the wireless.Georgia shrugs, following the orders.====================================================Enterprise and Vestal stare at the massive battleship.
"What is that thing?" Vestal asks
"It looks like an Iowa, but instead of triple gun turrets, it's double. They look to be about 18 inches too." Enterprise says.
The two look at each other before looking back at the new ship.
"It almost appears to be siren tech, yet it's not?" Enterprise adds
Vestal goes silent as the turrets begin to turn away from the two ship girls before an entire gun salute is fired off in the opposite direction from them.
"Enterprise Engage!"
"Vestal Engage!"
The two massive ships turn into wisdom cubes as the two girls cautiously approached the Capital ship.
"It has a distinctly American look to it," Vestal says
Vestal and Enterprise climb aboard the vessel.
"Any clue how to get into the command deck?" Enterprise asks
"Certainly, it's not that difficult; my interior is only a slight maze."
The two ship girls jump, clearing a few feet and rocking the boat below them.
They, of course, don't get time to recover before the blond woman is upon them.
"Enterprise! I am so happy to see you here… You look younger, like a lot younger. You don't even look like you've had your refit yet?" Georgia says, a little shaken.
"How do you know about my upcoming refit?" Enterprise asks scathingly.
"Her human body looks almost exactly like BB-15. Yet her hair is different." Vestal mutters
"I am the USS Georgia BB-72, though that is an iffy thing. I was supposed to be built with or after the Montanas as an 18-inch fast battleship." Georgia says, smiling.
"Are you armored against your own guns?" Enterprise asks
"Kinda. I am armored against my cousin's 16-inch guns.." Georgia says
"So, you're a battlecruiser?" Enterprise asks
"I prefer fast battleship," Georgia says, a little annoyed.
"We need to continue to Pearl," Vestal says
"Give me a heading I'll get us there a few hours earlier," Georgia says with a smile.
"35 degrees northeast." Enterprise responds as the ship suddenly rocks, propelling itself at just under 43 knots.
"Fast!" Vestal shouts
