Chapter 15: Major discovery

  Chapter 15: Major discovery

Three weeks had passed since Corantin had taken Vallerie’s anal virginity. Emily’s words had struck deep within Vallerie. Maybe it was because she did not only degrade Vallerie, but also herself, while away from Corantin’s ears. Undeniably, something had broke inside her and she no longer resisted what was done to her. She seemed almost happy to become a sub-human.

As for Corantin’s other project, the old tome, even after a month, remained unfathomable. Yet, Corantin could not stop delving into it. In consequence, he ended most day with a throbbing head. Only taking breaks to eat and train Vallerie. Before long, pretty much everyone in the estate was worried about his health.

Today, Corantin was once again hunched over the old tome. He was slowly reading each line fervently. At one point, while turning a page, he saw something surprising. On the new page was the schema of a magic circle. Past the surprise of the new element, Corantin rushed to his pile of transcripts. He brought everything to the table and started to compare every circle drawn to the drawing in the book.

By pure coincidence, the first magic circle Corantin inspected turned out to be a match. Corantin, dubious of his luck, double and triple checked. After the third time inspecting every millimetre, he had to concede that they were the same.

“No way, the dang central circle…” he murmured.

After, coming to terms with his lucky break. The young lord dove back into the text with renewed enthusiasm. He painfully deciphered every word, bit by bit, making sense of the sentences. The more he understood of the text, the more febrile he became. The tome was calling the spell “quick transportation between two portals”. According to the tome, drawing the circle and then feeding it magic would allow to fast transportation between both ends.

  That’s the mythical teleportation?

Teleportation a spell talked about in legends. According to them, by creating two special magic circles you could create portals and move almost instantly from one to the other. Both descriptions seemed to match therefore Corantin came to this conclusion.

Fortunately for Corantin, he was familiar with spatial magic. Transportation the spell he used to move his weapon belong to this category. He was one of the very few users of this spell. Transportation was often considered more trouble to learn than its utility. It required three things to be established: an object to link to the user; a location for it to rest and the user on the location itself. Simply put it would allow you to move an object from point A to you and back but, unfortunately, you had to bring the object to A before you could move it using magic. This limitation combined with the extreme difficulty of learning the spell discouraged almost everybody from learning it. Heck, some people that tried to learn it regardless spent their entire life trying in vain.

This discovery left Corantin speechless. While he would need knowledge on the other component of the seal to hope to break it. Teleportation would change even more than breaking that seal. From now on, with the knowledge on how to create and activate teleportation nexuses, he could create his own web of teleportation circles greatly increasing his ability to travel. If the book was to be trusted, all you had to do was draw both circles, connect them and make sure it was supplied in mana regurly. That st step would be easily done by using precious gems and crystals to feed the magic constantly. The hardest task would probably be to find a suitable location to hide them. Corantin had to make sure nobody saw him using them nor destroy them.

He decided that this room would be the best location in the manor. Therefore, he started to draw his first circle near the seal. He would not pce any circle there in the future to avoid incidents on arrival. For several minutes, the lord carefully maniputed his brush creating the intricate yout with magical ink. Upon completing the arcane painting, Corantin, exhausted, took a few minutes of rest to calm his nerves.

After calming down, Corantin poured magic into the magic circuit. He did not bother to add gems and crystals to this prototype as he would destroy it once the success of the magic was confirmed.

He then left the basement and looked for the safest spot for the other circle. This was rather tricky as he needed somewhere that met two conditions. First, it required no staff around to not make them panic. Second, it had to be somewhere safe as he had no idea how he would arrive. In the end he settled on one of the empty concubine room. In case he was ejected into his destination he would be projected into the mattress. He repeated the work he had done in the basement, slightly faster this time, having gained a bit of confidence from doing it once. Corantin returned to the seal’s room afterward.

“Here goes nothing,” said Corantin as he prepared to step after doing the procedure to ready the circle for teleportation.

According to the old book, the magic would either instantly send him to his destination or do nothing if he messed up. This is why he felt confident testing it himself, but he could not help feeling nervous.

“Ahhhh” he shouted as he walked towards the glowing circle.

Unceremoniously, Corantin exited on the bedroom as if he had simply crossed a doorframe. He felt conflicted. On one hand, he was dissatisfied about how mundane such a powerful spell was. On the other hand, he was relived that nothing spectacur happened, this meant he would not need to be too strict on where to hide the magic circles. His first teleportation experience successful, Corantin fed the magic circle again. He wanted to test if the transportation was indeed possible in both directions. He stepped into the glowing circle once more and… exited back in the basement next to the sealed door.

His experimentations done, Corantin destroyed the now useless magic circles. It was now time to see how Vallerie was doing. Before going to her cell, he grabbed a leather colr. If his hunch was correct, Vallerie was ready to start the second phase of her training and a good girl deserved a gift didn’t she.

“Good, he did it. With this our pn can finally proceed after so long. Hey, you! Stop dreaming we have much to do to prepare the next stage of the pn.”

  “Yes, master!” responded two voices.
