Chapter 17: A new routine

  Chapter 17: A new routine

Vallerie was wandering through the manor. She had yet to encounter any servants. This would have come as no surprise to anyone except her. Since, until yesterday, the only room used on the second floor was Corantin’s. Therefore, no servant was working on the second floor at this time of the day. Furthermore, she somehow did not find the main stairs that would lead her to the ground floor.

  “Kyaaaa!”

As she was turning another corner, she bumped into the st person she wished to see her in this situation: Corantin. It did not take long for Corantin to reach Vallerie. The crest created a link between them; therefore, he could easily locate any of the woman he branded.

“Well, what do we have here? I was just on my way to get you!” greeted Corantin mockingly.

“Hum, hum…I sweated a lot tonight because it was so hot, and I was looking for someway to clean myself,” replied Vallerie in a panic.

“Oh well, don’t bother,” sarcastically said Corantin, knowing that sweat was not what she was trying to remove from her body.

“What!... I knew you were a pervert but to be aroused from the scent of sweat…,” said the confused woman.

“Aroused? No, I was pnning some training that would get you sweaty again,” Corantin replied. He had voluntarily phrased his sentence in a way that could cause more confusion as he was very much enjoying teasing the woman.

“Training…training that will get me…me sweaty… what the hell are you pnning?” managed to say the woman as she was stumbling on her words. Her face had become beet red, but even she could not tell if it was from shame or arousal.

“Oh, sorry for the confusion. I did not mean the kind of training we had until now. I meant sword training. I thought you would like to train a bit after a whole month. Also, I ck a training partner that is also a mage,” said Corantin adopting a voice that tried to put the bme for the confusion on the horny woman.

“Now, stop being difficult and follow me. First let’s get you outfitted at the armoury,” he ordered firmly to close the conversation.

  ***

  “What the hell is that!”

They had just entered the armoury when Vallerie shouted loudly, pointing at a mannequin.

“This is armour, Vallerie,” calmly replied the man.

“That’s not armour. It barely covers anything. Can’t I use my old armour instead?” the woman screeched in panic.

While she was somewhat right that this outfit did not look anything like her previous armour. The privates where barely covered with thin cloth in a bikini shape. Meanwhile, all the metal ptes on the shoulders, forearms and hips felt more decorative than protective. Obviously, none of this did matter when every piece of had been reenforced by magic repeatedly. Making whoever donned the armour impervious to enemy attacks.

“Don’t let look deceive you that armour is way better at protecting its wearer than the useless chunk of metal you wore when we fought. And I don’t remember ever saying you’d wore this armour for training. Did it catch your eyes so much?” teased Corantin.

Teasing her relentlessly did not provide the same satisfaction as humiliating her during training. But Corantin tried to enjoy it as much as he could because he would not do anything more to her before she begged for it herself.

Meanwhile, Vallerie had once more turned beet red from the realization of what she said.

“Errr… errr… of course not I’d never wear something so scantily!”

“Follow me we’ll find something you feel like wearing,” encouraged Corantin. He did want to start the training as soon as possible. After an entire month of research, he needed it just as much as her.

A few minutes ter, Corantin was standing on the edge of the training ground waiting for his partner to finish changing. When she finally exited the mansion, he signaled to her so she could spot him. When she reached him, he took a sword he had left against the wall.

“Here this should do a better job than the toothpick you use before,” said Corantin as he handed Vallerie the sword.

“Huh! A magical sword?” excimed the confused knight.

“I did say it was sparring between mages. If we are to throw spells at each other what would be the point of using mundane weapons?”

As he was saying this, he had moved away from her. Corantin then summoned his whirlwind bde and shouted.

  “En garde!”

Contrary to their first duel, Vallerie did not rush. She cautiously raised her shield. Wind bdes came crashing into it, in response ice shards flew towards Corantin. As they reached him, he contorted and deftly evaded them.

The first bout having reached a stalemate, each rushed to the other. As they did so their eyes were trained on the other’s murmuring lips. As they started walking, they both moved to obscure their face. Vallerie quickly brought the top of her shield to her nose while, Corantin freed one hand from his whirlwind bde and position his now free arm in front of his mouth.

As they closed their lips, bdes of wind sweep to Vallerie’s feet while a ball of water rushed to Corantin’s face. As they reached melee range, without pause, they exchanged blows. Cnking sounds permeated the courtyard as their bdes met the other’s ft. As they traded offense and offence, Corantin bde faced her shield, Vallerie’s bde found air. Meanwhile, they never stopped incantating spells. Vallerie’s used her water to impede her opponent attacks creating walls of water killing his momentum, she sometimes mixed by fsh freezing his weapon in pce. For offence, she was trying to pin into pce with spikes of ice before sending a ball of water towards his head. Corantin, for his part, was sending wave after wave of wind bdes to her. Some aim to harm her directly, while others were trying to put her off bance, deflecting her arms, or sending dirt at her eyes. After a few minutes of exchanges, the pair separated.

Had she not been angry and misinformed st time that duel would have been interesting. She might have forced me to use my lust magic to win, thought Corantin as he caught his breath.

How is he so strong? though Vallerie on her end. While none of them had dominated the bout, but Corantin was clearly the one on the offensive more often than her. She was now realizing their st duel had ended without him even using half his power.

The break sted only a dozen of second before both fighters resumed the deadly dance of steel and spells.

After almost ten minutes of such intense fighting, the pair fell of the ground exhausted the duel having come to a stalemate in the end.

“Thanks Emily,” told Corantin after the woman, who had been observing the fight, brought him a towel as usual after he rose back on his feet.

“It’s only natural, master,” replied the maid.

“But don’t jeopardize your own training. I want you to grow stronger as much as possible,” retorted Corantin worried about his maid not prioritizing herself enough.

“Don’t worry, master because of your research this past month, I had too much time to train.”

As they talked, they walked towards Vallerie who was still ying in the dirt.

“Here, think you can walk?” asked Corantin after presenting his hand to her.

He helped her stand up before addressing Emily again, “Emily, guide Vallerie to the baths and then once she is done cleaning, help her get used to walk through the second floor. I’m going back to my research.”

“Huh! Are we done for today?” wondered Vallerie.

“Yes, I won’t need you for the remainder of the day. Enjoy your rest,” responded Corantin, knowing Vallerie trained body was craving sexual and masochistic pleasure more than anything at the moment.

  ***

Corantin was once again buried in a pile of books in the library. Even though he had made a massive discovery with teleportation magic, he was still ways off from breaking the seal that had eluded his family for generations. He heard a knock on the door.

  “Enter,” he allowed.

  A maid entered.

“Mylord we’re receive a letter from sir de Vilet,” decred the maid.

AnnouncementThere is still a little of time to participate in the poll. If you'd like to have your say in whether Corantin mingles with the neglected wife or not.
