The main hall was filled with students, all freshmen like Hitomi. All of them had passed a tough entrance exam, and now would be studying together for another three years.

  The entrance ceremony went on, while Hitomi silently prayed for her and her friends to be in one class. Meanwhile something that almost shocked her happened. The boy she pointed out by mistake earlier, happened to the one doing the students speech. "So he scored the highest huh? Doesn't look like it though.", She said to her self.

  Then after his speech, a few events went on and students were asked to head towards their classes. Students and respective classes had been displayed on a name board. Unfortunately Hitomi wasn't with her friends this year.

  "Sob sob, well let's hope next year...", said Sumi who had a disappointed face. Then the three parted ways.

  "See you after school Hitomi.", Said Ichika waving a hand at Hitomi as she went away.

  Hitomi mustered her confidence and entered her new class. It was quite spacious unlike the one in primary school, and there was a bigger white board. It was a bit still early, so there weren't much students in the classroom. Hitomi shared a cute little smile with the group of girls she met as she went for her desk.

  Her desk was the second from left, in the raw before the last. "What a cliched spot...", She said to hee self.

  As there was no one she she quite knew in the classroom, Hitomi took a seat and just waited for the class to start. Well she had to make some friends, otherwise she won't be able to have a successful school life. She wondered who would be sitting besides her, as the seat was still vacant.

  As she was waiting seated, some talkative girls that had already been in the classroom had approached her and asked her various questions. Hitomi had cooperated well with them, as she was (even though she wasn't quite aware of it), was a lovely girl. As of fact, some boys in the classroom had been eyeing her. Well it's high school, so they were in an age where curiosity peaked.

  A while later the bell rang and everyone was now in the classroom. For better or worse the person sitting to her left was the boy that had done the special speech earlier.

  "He didn't notice it right? right?", Hitomi kept telling her self. As she unintentionally keep staring at him, Ken (yes that's him.) happened to look at her. Their eyes met. Hitomi was a bit embarrassed, but gave a warm smile. Ken looked a bit surprised, but then he returned her smile with a slight nod.

  Then moments later their new homeroom teacher came in and classes started for the day.

  The bell rang for lunch break. As Hitomi had brought her lunch with her she didn't go for the cafeteria. Ken too was having his meal in the classroom. Hitomi didn't bother about him but kept at her eating.

  "President... Can you help me with this pleeease.", squealed a girl as she approached Ken. Of course, earlier during the homeroom session, he was appointed as the class president.

  "Ah oh that sure, lets see. Fill this here, here and here. And your done. Ok got it?", Ken advised the girl. It was an application form for joining clubs. You could do it by yourself but it seemed the girl was just acting, so she could have a moment with him. Ken seemed to be popular with girls.

  "Thank youuuu", the girl said and ran away giggling.

  Meanwhile Hitomi finished her meal. And went towards the washrooms. She hoped she'd run into her friends Ichika and Sumi on her way, but didn't.

  The washroom was surprisingly empty. How ever she did her business and now was washing her hands. It was then that she happened to notice her self doubled in the mirrors reflection. It was too clear for a hallucination. Hitomi splashed water on her face. Then looked at the mirror once more. There was no one.

  Just then a sound as if a door flung open came from a corner of the room.

  Hitomi jumped then looked at where the sound came from.

  It was the door to the toilet in the furthest corner. Hitomi who was extremely curious, wiped water off her face and approached it. She hesitated for a while, then opened it.

  There was no one inside.

  Hitomi let out a sigh of relief. Just then the main door to the wash room opened.

  "Waaah!", Hitomi let out a sudden scream as it startled her.

  "Oh my, did I scare you?", Said the girl that just entered the washroom.

  "Ah no it's ok. Just got a bit startled. Ha ha", saying she left the wash room giving the other a smile.

  "Guess I'm still day dreaming huh?", Hitomi muttered to her self, as she went back to her class.

  After school ended that day, Hitomi re-united with her friends. They shared each others experiences in new classrooms while on their way home. Hitomi let out lots of yawns on the way, which in fact conformed she was literally day dreaming things.

  The first thing she did as she got home that day was, jumping into her bead and having a good nap. (Later got an ear full of scolding from her mother due to sleeping with her uniform.)

  Thus ended Hitomi's first day at high school.

  On the roof top area of Kyoto Blooming Flowers High, was a lonely figure. Staring at the yellowish evening sky, one hand in his pocket.

  "Master, you summoned me?", said a voice from behind him.

  “Took care of that thing?”, the boy asked over his back, still staring far into the sky.

  “Yes master. It’s all taken care of.”

  “Good, proceed as I instructed.”

  “Yes master.”

  And the voice vanished.

  “Sigh, what a hassle.”, said the boy as he continued staring at the sky.
