Chapter 11

“Can I teleport somewhere I haven’t been to?”

“Depends on how much love you have.”

“Wow, love can really do anything.”

“It can, but to teleport somewhere you haven’t been earlier,

you need immense amount of love.”

“More than I what I had back at home?”

“..No. Less than that. Back home, you had the love of all

city. But still, I can’t help but think you are putting yourself into an

  unnecessary situation.”

“Of course I am doing that, isn’t that what friends do?”

“Friends don’t lock the door from outside after leaving.”

“Well, there is the thing about Vivian too! Or should I call

her Clare? Whatever, the princess is all lonely, isn’t she?”

“Flare, you are too kind. Do you know why we partners always

  use girls as magical girls?”

  “Because of the name?”

“Because girls are biologically different from boys. It is

said that while boys remember events more clearly, girls can experience intense

levels of emotions. Emotions in which they can take rash decisions.”

“What are you trying to say, Nanoja?”

“I am just worried for you.”

“Say, if I do take a rash decision, will you still be with

  me?”

“Of course, that was our contract. I am your partner, and we

  are bonded for life.”

  “You didn’t answer my question.”

“Yes, Flare. No matter what you do, I know you are a good

person, so, yes, I will always trust you and follow you wherever you go.”

“Great!” I said while cuddling his soft fur. It’s been

awhile since I did this and I had forgotten how warm he was.

There was a knock on my door. “Come in" I said, even

though I had no control over it. The door is locked from outside, enter whoever

wants to. The sound of lock opening kind of echoed throughout the room. It

opened, and the person who opened it was...who?

It was...that boy. One of them.. not Alex. Not child. Not

  the glasses. The other one.

“So, uhh. How...how did you like the school till now?” he

  asked.

“Uhh, it was good. It’s nice.”

  “Oh. That’s great to know.”

  “Yeah.”

  “So, any questions?”

  “Not particularly, no.”

  “Oh.”

  “...”

  “...”

  “...”

“So, yeah. Uhh, Viv told me to, like, take you for uhhh, a

dat- a tour. A tour of the town.”

  “She did?”

  “Yep.”

“Okay, just let me get ready.”

“Okay, sure. I’ll be waiting here.”

  “Here?”

“Outside! I mean outside. Sorry, my tongue slipped.” He said

all flustered before getting out of the room, not locking it. Times are strange

when you have to mention that.

Still, he is one of the shy ones? It’s not like I don’t like

them, but I prefer bold ones more.

My wardrobe was filled with dresses for some reason. They

must had placed them while I was sleeping or something. Wait, does that mean

everyone has a key to my room?

Okay, I understand some drama is happening here, but that

doesn’t mean you can give a potential peeping Tom a key to my room.

But haven’t those tailors already seen my pictures from

  every angle.

  Rude.

I bet one of them even taped my photo to his pillow and kiss

  it in his sleep.

  Oh, yeah, back to dresses.

Firstly, I am pretty sure calling them dresses does not do

justice. They are all of different shapes and designs, I am pretty sure they

have names. But I only know babydoll and frock. And, well, nightgown? Swimsuit?

So, they all do certainly look same to me. Some were frilly, some were filled with

stuffing.I just chose a white one which wasn’t full of fluff like rest. It

  seemed light and casual.

“I am ready.” I said, loud enough to get through the door.

He opened the door, and was awestruck at my appearance. Was this first time he

is seeing a girl wear casual clothes? How cute!

My friends back on original world would totally hate me for

going on a date without any makeup, or spa, or parlour, but well, advantages of

going with a shy boy, I guess.

  “You look amazing.” He said.

  “I didn’t asked.” I said, teasing him.

“Oh, yeah. Sorry. You look thin today.”

  “What?”

“Nothing. Just something my friends told me to say.”

“Not all girls are worried about weight, you know.”

“Sorry.” He said all embarrassed, looking sideways while his

  ears go cherry red.

“Don’t worry, I was just joking. Say, what do you think

  about Vivian?”

“W-what about her? I mean, she is good, nice...smart. Basically

  a normal princess.”

  “Ohhhh, and what about Clare?”

He froze for a second before saying “Let’s talk about her

  while..walking.”

  “Walking?”

“We have places we need to be, we can, like, talk..on the

  way?”

  “Oh sure, let’s.”

As we walked through the corridors, with that boy on my

side, as I saw his face, he seemed very familiar to me. Like, I have seen him

somewhere. I have met him, I had breakfast with him this morning. Wait, was it

this morning? Or was it yesterday morning? How many days it even has been since

my arrival? So, anyways, his face, I have seen it else where but I can’t point

  out my finger.

“Hey, your face seems very familiar.” I asked him.

  “We have met each other.”

“No, it feels like I have seen you somewhere before.”

  “Like that museum, Emperor’s Rest?”

  “Maybe. Were you there?”

  “My statue was.”

  “What?”

  “Oh, you don’t know?”

  “Don’t know what?”

“I am the..First.” he said covering his mouth at the last

moment as if getting embarrassed again.

  “First?

  “First..Demon Lord.”

“Ha? Wait, that was supposed to be something I already

  knew?!”

“Well, all the students and teachers know, so I assumed you

too, but I suppose you really haven’t talked with anybody else, have you.”

“This, this was too much to..digest. Just explain how you

are the first demon lord. And you don’t even have horns and stuff!”

“Don’t..don’t say it completely. It’s an embarrassing name.”

  “First demon lord?”

“Well, even you must be embarrassed hearing Maagical Girl

  Flare all the time, right?”

“Yes, I do, but aren’t you supposed to be someone special?

  Just what happened?”

“Ah, there was this whole drama in the first year. Me

hiding, people finding, panic and all, but then Vivian explained to everyone how,

well, good I am. And that’s it. As for horns, I can bring them out if I want.”

“Don’t treat it like you are a stray dog or something! You

are...wait, aren’t you supposed to be dead?”

“Oh, I am not exactly him, they just found some preserved

genome of the First and did some science stuff to create me.”

“Oh, yeah, that reminds me, you said Vivian told everyone you

are good? So, that just worked?”

“She is a very persuasive lady. Plus she had good

  relationships with everyone.”

“Is that so. She didn’t seem to be good friends with Clare

  though.”

  “Uhh. Well...Arghhhh. Clare is a..special case. I don’t know

what she told you, but, Flare, she is not exactly of a right mind.”

  “So, she’s insane?”

“I won’t call it insane, per say, like she exists and does

attend classes, it’s just that she spouts some nonsense.”

  “Nonsense?”

  “Like whatever she told you.”

“She didn’t told me anything. Vivian told me about the body

  swapping.”

  “She did?”

  “Is it surprising?”

“She isn’t the type of person to dwell on past, so I thought

not. But if she told you about that, it means she trusts you very much.”

“Trust me, huh. She really does very much. Okay, well, bye!”

  “Bye?”

“I am not feeling good right now, I might even throw up, so

I am just gonna go to my room and lay down quietly, kay?” I said and ran off to

my room before giving him a chance to answer.

This time, I locked my door before someone else does.

  Hehe

  Gives a sense of superiority.

I took out my wand and drew hearts like I usually do, and

puaw! I was back at the garden. The garden with a fountain.

  Okay, so..

  What should I do here?

Wait, I am the one who is free, Clare does has classes going

on. I can’t meet her right now.

Does that mean that boy too skipped classes? Did he just

skipped classes just because Vivian told him to? Huh, he must be in love with

  her.

  So, about this.

Yeah, Nanoja was right. I do take rash decisions. I didn’t

even thought this through. Let’s just go back and waste my time till morning.

Thankfully, this time there was no princess drinking tea on

my bed, ready to give me lectures.
