Liu Sen adapted to the way of being adored by everyone and got to know his two guardian leaders, Naka and Grus. Naka was a middle-aged man, not very tall, who squinted his eyes into slits when looking at others, shooting a cold gleam from between them. However, when looking at himself, he was like a fierce and loyal hunting dog, seemingly ready to tear any prey to pieces at a single command. Grus, on the other hand, was the complete opposite; he was gentle with everyone, but everyone's respect for him was even higher than for Naka.
Both of them were swordmasters, and both were at the first level. Out of curiosity, Liu Sen witnessed a demonstration of their swordsmanship. When they channeled their fighting spirit to the extreme, both swords changed color—Naka’s turned blood-red, and Grus's became purplish-red, emitting a light that seemed capable of destroying everything. It was said that if they advanced two more levels and reached the level of Sword Saints, they could shoot out sword lights and kill from ten steps away.
Liu Sen learned about the cssification of swordsmanship and magic. Swordsmanship starts from the fifth level, then to the fourth, until the first level, above which is the Grand Swordmaster, followed by the Sword Saint and Grand Sword Saint, with the ultimate level being divine. Magic follows a simir cssification, from the fifth level to the first, after which one becomes a Grand Magician, then a Magic Conductor, and beyond that is the Grand Magic Conductor, with the breakthrough being divine as well. The cssifications on both sides were roughly the same, with equivalent power levels.
Naka often wandered on the back of a dragon turtle, carrying an ice-cold iron sword, while Grus spent most of his time by Liu Sen's side, patiently guiding the young master in finding his own consciousness. Of course, he couldn't know that this young master was no longer the original one, so it was impossible for his consciousness to follow. However, Liu Sen needed his comprehensive service, and the story belonging to Akrus slowly entered his mind.
His parents didn't pay much attention to him, even preferring not to show their faces. He spent more time with his grandfather, the domineering lord feared across eight hundred miles of the sea: Kerse! His father had a brother who was quite different in temperament. According to Grus, his father was more humble, while his uncle was more majestic. His uncle had two sons and three daughters under his name, and his father also had two sons and two daughters, meaning he would have a brother and two sisters.
His father had long been taught by his grandfather the secret techniques of taming dragon turtles, making him the natural heir. And he was taught earlier by his grandfather because of his special fondness for him, giving him a much higher status than his uncle's side.
As for what the secret technique was, Liu Sen searched his brain but couldn’t find any memories, presuming it was returned to this otherworldly cheap grandfather! The magical talent that made Grus ftter excited Liu Sen at first, but soon he became frustrated because he had no idea how to use it. The magical talent must have left with the real Akrus, and his magic as a fourth-level magician was back to square one.
But he wasn't too worried. His grandfather was still healthy, and it wasn't his turn to worry yet. The best role to py was that of a carefree young master, and he had indeed become such a person. Perhaps the heavens thought he was living too hard and decided to give him a different way to live?
There were plenty of water magicians on the dragon turtle. Liu Sen saw his own reflection in the water, a handsome face of Western appearance, under twenty years of age. He memorized his face, finding the whole thing quite strange.
On the third day, a huge isnd appeared ahead, looking more like a continent than an isnd, with a white beach between the azure sky and the sea, mountains, waters, and tall cliffs. At the top of the highest cliff was a white pace, accompanied by white clouds. This was his home!
Hundreds of giant dragon turtles y on the beach, gazing at the sea, the isnd's protectors. Between the beach and the mountains were low stone houses with people coming and going, said to be the lowest-css fishermen. As soon as they nded, a few elders hurriedly dropped what they were doing and came over, bowing from a distance, while Liu Sen's attention was drawn to some beautiful figures disappearing into various corners of the isnd, some even hiding in the rocks.
Shy? How amusing! Shy girls are good girls. Unlike that ugly monster Kema, who would stare and rush over upon seeing a man, making the fortunate young master break into a sweat immediately.
Grus had described his own temperament as majestic. Liu Sen remembered this as he walked on the beach, nodding gently to those around him with three parts dignity and two parts majesty. He passed by, noting the people above on the mountain who lived off the sea below and the mountain above. It was interesting, but he still couldn't see many young girls, only fleeting figures.
Further up was a rge ke, and an elder finally spoke up, telling him the ke was freshwater, home to the third type of isnd inhabitants who lived by farming. The elder had told him his name, but Liu Sen had forgotten it. He didn't like the old man much, so the elder had been out of favor for a long time.
Across the ke was the castle he had longed to reach. Naka handed him a rein, which was attached to a tall white deer. Liu Sen mounted it and set off, followed by dozens of attendants. A flock of birds took flight, some diving into the castle.
The path by the ke was covered in green grass. The white deer ran silently but as fast as the wind. Liu Sen's heart pounded with anticipation of seeing his family. Would they notice anything different? Surely not, as his face and voice were the same, just with a different consciousness in his head. This change could be covered up with one excuse: he had lost his memory.
A girl stood by the roadside ahead. Seeing the rge party, she stopped and quietly waited for them to pass. Her gaze nded on Liu Sen's face, and she let out a light gasp, then turned and ran, dropping a basket. Liu Sen tightened his grip, and the white deer came to a sudden stop, shouting, "You dropped something!"
Everyone stopped, but the girl ran even faster. Liu Sen, puzzled, dismounted, "Stop!"
At his command, two guards seemed to receive an order and dashed out, one to the left and one to the right, towards the girl. The white deer turned, stopping in front of her. The girl trembled, slowly turning back. Indeed, she was pretty, but her face was smeared with so much makeup that it significantly detracted from her beauty.
"Go back!" the guards commanded authoritatively, and the girl slowly walked towards Liu Sen.
Liu Sen dismounted and curiously asked her, "Why are you running?"
"I... I..." The girl was panting, her bosom heaving violently, her tattered clothes barely containing her ample chest, and her messy face unable to hide her fright.
"You seem very afraid of me!" Liu Sen said as gently as possible, "Don't be afraid, you dropped this. It's yours," handing her the basket. The girl hesitated before taking it, lowering her head without a word.
Liu Sen looked up as an elder stepped forward, "Young master has good eyesight; this girl is not bad!"
Not bad? Liu Sen's gaze involuntarily fell on her again, indeed noticing her appeal, especially her lips, which were incredibly enticing. The elder's fttering voice continued, "I'll take her back, let the maids clean her up..."
"No!" the girl shouted, "I... I'd rather die than go! If you come any closer, I... I'll smash my head in front of you!" There really was a rge tree in front of her, and she was indeed measuring the distance, seemingly intent on killing herself.
"You dare!" the elder's sinister voice rose, "If you dare to kill yourself, I'll kill your whole family!... Who dares to disobey the young master's choice?"
"Wait!" Liu Sen felt terrible inside, "What's this becoming? I'm a majestic young master, yet in his mouth, I've become a despicable vilin forcing someone to their death?"
"Yes!" the elder bowed, "Please instruct, young master!"
Liu Sen said, "Miss, I had no other intention. I just saw you drop something and wanted you to pick it up. My men have frightened you, I apologize." He bowed slightly, mounted the white deer, and said, "Let's go."
The elder awkwardly mounted his deer and followed. Naka and Grus exchanged gnces, nodding slightly before mounting and setting off. The entire convoy disappeared, and with a soft sound, the girl's basket fell again, and she colpsed.
Liu Sen rode for a long time, the castle finally within sight, slowing down as he exhaled a long breath. He seemed to understand something: his predecessor was not exactly a good bird. The girls hiding from him were not out of shyness but fear! This difference was significant: shyness was a girl's charm, while fear was his detestability!
But a huge temptation arose in his heart: the pleasure of doing as one pleases was something everyone desired, and he had the conditions to enjoy this pleasure. First, he had the power; at his command, all thirty-six isnds would obey, and he had many loyal subordinates to carry out even the most immoral orders. Second, his predecessor was already of this character; since he had inherited his body, why bother changing anything? Enjoying to the fullest seemed much better.
It's much easier to learn to be bad than good, especially for a young man, as being bad is more tempting. Badness indulges the desires deep in one's heart, while goodness restrains them. Without the need for restraint, who wouldn't want to indulge?
Ahead, an elder rode a golden deer with extraordinary bearing. Everyone dismounted and bowed, "Isnd Master!" The approaching person must be the Isnd Master Kerse.
"My child!" Kerse dismounted with open arms, "Come here, let grandfather have a look at you!"
Liu Sen hesitated to dismount as someone else rushed forward, "Isnd Master, I am to bme for a slight mishap..." It was that elder, who dared not hide anything from the Isnd Master.
Kerse's brows furrowed, "Akrus, is all this true?"
Liu Sen bowed, "Grandfather, I don't remember many things, but it doesn't matter, I'll remember them!"
The elder said, "Isnd Master, the young master's body is fine, it's an unexpected joy!"
Kerse's brow rexed, "Well, it's an unexpected joy, but the accident happened on Giles Isnd, and those wretches should not be easily forgiven. Gita, go, kill the Isnd Master's several children!"
"Yes!" The elder bowed to receive the order.
Liu Sen was shocked, because of his incident, immediate murder was ordered, and that of the Isnd Master's children. That ugly monster could be ignored, one less frightening creature, but that elder was quite polite. This was too much. Seeing Gita about to rise, Liu Sen quickly grabbed him, "Grandfather, that Isnd Master was quite nice to me, said many apologies, can we forgive them?"
Kerse frowned, "The dignity of Wind God Isnd cannot be compromised. Akrus, you will rule the thirty-six isnds in the future, your prestige is very important, understand?"
Liu Sen, "I understand, but I've already promised the Isnd Master, to forgive them. If grandfather insists on revenge, wouldn't I be contradicting myself, destroying my own credibility?"
This was a direct challenge to Kerse, who stared at him for a long time before bursting into ughter, "Alright, if the future lord has agreed, I'll comply once! Spare Giles Isnd!"
"Thank you, grandfather!" Liu Sen breathed a sigh of relief, "For now, I'll listen to grandfather. Please, mount the deer!"
His voice carried a pleasing tone, and Kerse, amused, stroked his beard and ughed, "Good, good, you may not remember anything else, but you remember to listen to grandfather, that's right... I'll take you to see your parents now. If you don't recognize them, your father might beat you..." The two rode off together, talking and ughing.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief; not pursuing Giles Isnd meant not pursuing their responsibility. The cloud that had been hanging over their heads finally dispersed, revealing clear blue skies.
