Huangdi Neijing Chapter 2
In the early morning, Song Tang woke up naturally from his sleep and stretched his waist. He suddenly felt refreshed and only then did he realize that last night's events were real. Although Song Tang didn't understand how he came to this world, these things were no longer important at this moment. In the 21st century, there was a saying: Life is like rape, since you can't resist it, you might as well enjoy it. Since he couldn't go back to his original world, he might as well live a good life from now on. Besides, in his previous society, there wasn't anything worth cherishing anyway.
On the wall hung a large fitting mirror, Song Tang carefully examined his image in the mirror. His height of 1.82 meters was set off by a black windbreaker, making him appear straight and upright. His knife-sharp face, sword-like eyebrows, and starry eyes made him look youthful, but due to the influence of Song Tang's soul crossing over, his eyes revealed a hint of vicissitudes. However, this did not affect Song Tang's temperament; on the contrary, the deep eyes that revealed a hint of vicissitudes added a mysterious aura to Song Tang.
Song Tang is still quite satisfied with his current body, although he has been a human being for two lifetimes and his psychological age has already exceeded the age of not being perplexed. He doesn't care much about his appearance anymore, but who wouldn't feel proud when facing oneself with a good-looking face?
"Haha, this body isn't bad at all, much better than before. It seems that the heavens have been quite kind to me. Maybe it was right for me to come to this world after all." Song Tang looked himself up and down before muttering to himself in a self-mocking tone.
January in Los Angeles is still cold. In the Northern Hemisphere, winter is basically dark early and light late. The farther north you go, the more obvious it is, of course, Los Angeles is no exception. Although Song Tang usually gets up very early, after experiencing a big bowel movement yesterday, even with a good biological clock, Song Tang couldn't help but be a bit late today.
After finishing his own affairs, when he came out of the bedroom door, it was already after 9 o'clock. At this time, in the spacious living room, apart from a few Song family servants, there was only the idle old master of the Song family, who was worried about his grandson waiting in the hall, while Song Tang's parents, Song Yao Hui and Liu Ying, had eaten breakfast and saw that their son was still sleeping soundly, so they didn't disturb Song Tang, but instead took a glance at him before leaving for work.
Although Mr. Song Yuanqiao is already over 70 years old, due to his good living habits, he still looks spirited and has a ruddy complexion, making people admire his well-preserved appearance.
"Grandfather, good morning. Everyone, uncles and aunts, good morning." Although Song Tang was unfamiliar with such greetings, when he saw so many people in the hall, clever as he was, he quickly reacted and greeted his grandfather of this life and the Song family servants to avoid revealing his flaws and arousing everyone's suspicion.
"Young master, good...". The Song family servant had a good relationship with Song Tang all along. Seeing Song Tang taking the initiative to greet him and also seeing the usually serious old man beside him, he hurriedly returned the greeting to Song Tang.
Song Yuanqiao thought his grandson's temperament was different from before, but he never imagined that the soul in Song Tang's body had long been replaced by another Song Tang. He thought it was just because of the changes he had experienced and had become more mature. At this time, Song Yuanqiao saw his grandson, who was full of energy and asked him how he was doing. With a hearty laugh, he waved his hand to let the servants leave the hall and said: "Haha, Tang'er, you're looking good today, seems like your spirit is not bad, young man! What's wrong with having a drink?"
The usually serious old man was delighted to see his grandson, who had been unconscious for two days, wake up. Song Tang, who had been feeling tense, suddenly felt much more at ease after being teased by the old man.
"Grandpa is right," said Song Tang.
"In those days, your grandfather was already traveling all over the place at your age...". Song Tang saw that it wasn't good, this old man is fine in every way, but he has a bit of nostalgia, once he starts talking about his youthful days, he just can't stop, and in his memories, Song Tang remembered the old man's glorious deeds.
If it were usual, Song Tang would have listened to these without any problem. However, at this moment, after waking up from a nap, due to the previous dizziness, he had not eaten for two days. If his body was not strong enough, he might have fainted from hunger already. Even so, Song Tang's stomach was still growling loudly and non-stop.
Just as Song Tang was getting anxious, the old man suddenly seemed to know what Song Tang was thinking and stopped talking about his glorious deeds. He asked, "Tang'er, you haven't eaten breakfast yet, have you? Are you starving?"
Song Tang saw Old Master expressing his heart's voice so clearly, and suddenly shouted "Wu Liang Dao Zun", saying: "Yes, grandfather, I haven't eaten for two days."
The old man saw this and hastily ordered Xiao Zhao, who was in charge of Song Tang's food outside the main hall, to make something light for Song Tang to eat. Although the old man called her Xiao Zhao, she was actually a middle-aged Chinese woman, slightly older than Song Tang's mother, and Song Tang usually called her "Zhao Auntie". Zhao Auntie was in charge of cooking Chinese dishes for the Song family, and Song Tang especially loved the food she made.
For Song Tang, in his previous life, there were usually special personnel responsible for food and drink, and he himself was also quite casual about eating. However, the dishes made by Zhao's aunt were really good, and after Song Tang had eaten a few small dishes and drank several bowls of porridge, he finally felt that his stomach was more comfortable.
After dinner, the old man asked Song Tang some more questions about his plans for the future, now that he had completed his studies at the Southern California Institute of Film. According to Western customs, someone of Song Tang's age could already be independent and live alone, but the Song family, whether it was the old man or Song Tang's parents, still adhered to Chinese tradition.
As for the question asked by Lao Ye, Song Tang was also not good at answering for a while. After all, he had just experienced a great change, and even if Song Tang's mental quality was high, it would take some time to fully adapt. As for what to do in the future, there was no clear idea either. Anyway, Song Tang didn't think about how to further his studies. After all, whether it was his past life or this life, Song Tang believed that with the knowledge he had grasped, plus the dozens of years of foresight more than others, he could do better than anyone else in any field he chose. This wasn't Song Tang being arrogant, but rather a confidence that came from being a person who felt like they had the world at their fingertips.
Song Yuanqiao knew that his grandson always had his own ideas, although he wasn't clear why this time he didn't answer the question accurately. However, the old man didn't suspect anything and thought it was just because his grandson was still recovering from his coma. After finishing dinner, the old man told Song Tang to rest well and then went out to attend to his own matters.
Song Tang saw the old man out, then sat down on the sofa in the hall, furrowed his brow and thought for a while. He should do something too. However, Song Tang couldn't think of anything good at that moment, so he simply stopped thinking about it.
Out of his old good habit, Song Tang did a set of physical training in the courtyard after breakfast. It was unknown whether it was because of his previous exercise or the influence of the post-traumatic stress disorder after crossing over, but after finishing a set of military boxing and a set of Bagua palm kung fu, the development of this body's physique was surprisingly good. Song Tang was confident that even if he were one of China's best special forces soldiers, his physical condition would not be better than it was now.
Half an hour later, Song Tang, who had been sweating profusely, felt refreshed and invigorated after washing up, and began to get into character.
Song Tang returned to his room, with nothing better to do, and began to cultivate the results of his previous life's research. To say that in his previous life, Song Tang was the president of the Taoist Academic Research Association, his greatest achievement was the Qi Nourishing Skill he had researched from the "Huangdi Neijing". It was precisely because he had cultivated the Taoist Qi Nourishing Skill that he was able to live beyond 25 years old in his previous life.
Song Tang sat on the bed, gathered his mind and spirit, made a gesture of five hearts facing the origin, and began to recall the breathing method of "Huangdi Neijing" - "Since ancient times, those who have communicated with heaven are born with the foundation of life, based on yin and yang. Between heaven and earth, within the six directions, the nine continents, nine orifices, five viscera, and twelve joints, all communicate with the heavenly energy. The five elements generate, the three energies move, those who often violate this principle will be harmed by evil energy, which is the foundation of human life."
When the heavenly energy is clear and calm, the will and intention are regulated. By following it, the yang energy becomes solidified, even if there are evil pathogens, they cannot cause harm. This is due to the sequence of time. Therefore, sages transmit their spirit, wear the heavenly energy, and communicate with the divine brightness. If lost, then internally close the nine orifices, externally block the muscles, and the defensive energy disperses and dissolves. This is called self-injury, the depletion of energy.
Yang energy is like heaven and the sun. If it loses its proper place, then life will be shortened and not flourish. Therefore, the movement of heaven should follow the brightness of the sun. This is why yang energy rises up and guards the outside.
Due to cold, it wants to move like a pivot, starting and stopping suddenly, and the spirit energy floats. Due to heat, sweating and panting, then drinking, quietness leads to much talking, the body feels like hot coals, sweat comes out and disperses.
Due to dampness, the head is wrapped up, damp heat does not disperse, large tendons are short, small tendons are long and slack. Shortness is stiffness, length and slackness is weakness.
Due to qi, there is swelling, the four limbs mutually substitute for each other, yang energy is then exhausted.
The essentials of yin and yang are that yang is solidified by being dense, and the two do not harmonize. It's like spring without autumn, or winter without summer. Because of this harmony, it's called sacred virtue. Therefore, when yang is strong but cannot be dense, yin energy will be cut off. When yin is balanced and yang is secreted, the spirit will be regulated. When yin and yang are separated and decided, the essence and energy will be cut off.
The birth of Yin is based on the five flavors, and the injury to Yin is also in the five flavors. Therefore, if the flavor is too sour, the liver Qi will be exhausted, and the spleen Qi will be cut off. If the flavor is too salty, the large bones will be laborious, the muscles will be short, and the heart Qi will be oppressed. If the flavor is too sweet, the heart Qi will be panting and full, the color will be black, and the kidney Qi will not be balanced. If the flavor is too bitter, the spleen Qi will not be moistened, and the stomach Qi will be thick. If the flavor is too pungent, the tendons and vessels will be disordered, and the spirit will be disturbed. Therefore, if one carefully harmonizes the five flavors, the bones will be straight, the tendons will be soft, the Qi and blood will flow freely, and the pores will be closed tightly. If this is so, then the bone Qi will be refined, and one will follow the Dao as a principle, and live out one's natural years.
Slowly, Song Tang discovered that this body was surprisingly good, which might be the reason why Song Tang followed Li Bo to learn Neijiaquan in the past. It is worth noting that Chinese culture has a long history and is profound. After thousands of years of development and refinement, Chinese internal martial arts have their own unique characteristics. Although Song Tang didn't practice internal martial arts very well in the past, he still had some foundation.
Furthermore, the impact of Song Tang's soul crossing over and his past life cultivation experience enabled him to form a connection with the atmosphere in such a short period of time.
