Prologue - The start

Every millenia a big meeting is held in the center of the multiverse. Lately a problem has occurred involving the ever growing population of souls.

Souls is the way reality expands. By converting the soulpoints they generate into matter and energy, the boundaries of existence stretches, making more space for gods and such to rule.

Souls can also multiply by accumulating their soulpoints, holding on to them until the mass of soulpoints burst out of the soul in the form of a little clone. It looks almost a bit like when cells split.

Sometimes mutations happen. Thet changes their alignments to bad, good or any variable between them. Even though bad souls are undesirable, there is no known ways to destroy souls through outside influence. The only way for a soul to get destroyed, is if it changes into a alignment other than good or bad. If that happens, they will just unravel, spewing enormous amounts of soulpoints, just like pressurised innards. It is speculated that this might be a failsafe inplanted by whoever created the first souls.

Back to the problem, most of the gods and their god supervisors, even some of the reclusive 'laws', have become tired of the bad souls constant nagging and vandalism in their respective universes, dimensions, territories or domains.

In the different entities infinite patience and wisdom, they decided after a year of discussing that the most entertaining solution would be to make a “garbage universe” where they can send the souls they want. The only limit is a ban on 'artificiall souls'.

As to who will create and maintain this universe, there were no volunteers.

Since nobody volunteered for the privilege of maintaining and creating the facilities the new universe, they decided to use a dungeon for the purpose.

To find the right soul for the position as dungeon, a draw between the mortals making a hard list of prerequisites containing 'important qualities', will be made.

The list contains the following points:

  1. To never grow bored, but like change.

  2.
  3. Have enjoyment in creating challenges.

  4.
  5. Have low sense of empathy.

  6.
  7. Be artistic and creative.

  8.

These four points alone decreased the number of potential seekers by 99%, a huge number. Therefore, only about a near infinite amount of participants are left.

After everyone at the meetup agreed to these points, the 'law of the jungel'; absolute ruler of the universe, proceeded with the next step of the draw. It summoned the only other entety with more power than it, the mysterious System, for the final part of the proceedure.
