The Magical Workman Chapter 12: Injured

A short chapter, sorry I've been very busy haven't been able to write, I shall write more and better chapters in the future.

  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I came too all I saw was a bright sea of light, probably sunlight, streaming through my eyes.

Needless to say I was blinded.

Then I heard a rustling sound, a bit of shouting, and the world went dark once more.

  ——————————————————————————-

I woke up again, but this time it was dark with a bit of glowing.

I tried to turn my head to see what was glowing, and it hurt so bad that I nearly pass out from the immense pain.

I hear someone shifting in a chair, only to lift up.

I heard the person walking toward me, they probably knew I woke up.

Closing my eyes for a minute, I opened them to find Lilia standing over me staring into my face.

Her eyes were bloodshot, her face inconceivably pale. There were tears forming in her eyes and I knew she was crying because of me.

I tried to speak, but the only thing that came out was a long creaky croak. Lilia stood up straight and walked away only to return with a glass of water.

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

She held it too my lips, and I drank like I had never had a drink of water in my whole life. I was only stopped when Lilia took the glass away and in a low saddened voice told me to drink slower.

I listened, drinking the glass slowly, but I still drained it within seconds.

I stared straight into Lilia’s eyes.

“How long have I been out”

Lilia burst into tears, reaching out with my hand I grabbed her back and pulled her toward me, rubbing her back as I did so.

  “Yo-You’ve been out fo-for two wee-weeks”

Lilia told me through her torrent of tear drops.

I lifted up my head, the pain was there, but I pushed through it. Gently lifting Lilia off of me, I lifted off the blanket.

I was missing a few toes, and had a few scars on my torso.

  I snorted, no surprise there.

I once again looked into Lilia’s beautiful eyes and asked

“How long until I can leave?”
