It's the weekend.
In Riverdale, most families spend their day off relaxing in their own way, whether it's sleeping in or meeting up with friends for a good meal.
But Matt and his family, at the urging of their youngest daughter, decided to visit Starlight Amusement Park.
Matt drove into the parking lot outside the amusement park. Before the car even stopped, his little daughter was already pulling at the door handle, eager to get out!
Matt frowned, scolding, "Melody, the car isn't stopped yet, don't pull the door!"
Melody immediately pouted, saying, "Daddy, I want to go see the cartoon sooner!"
"She's just a kid, a little reminder is enough, don't always have such a grumpy face!" Matt's wife, Lisa, reached out and rubbed the little girl's head, showing her dissatisfaction with Matt.
"Humph!" Matt snorted, not saying anything.
"What's wrong with you? We barely get to come out as a family, why are you acting like this!" Lisa asked.
Matt replied, "I was actually hoping to stay home and work on some code this week. I finally had a breakthrough, and I thought I might be able to solve a tough problem!"
"When else could you come out to play? Why did it have to be now?"
"If you mess up my inspiration, who knows when I'll be able to overcome the next technical difficulty!"
Matt is the technical vice president of a large U.S. game company Penguin. His current main project is virtual game technology.
While virtual reality technology is still in its infancy and might not be commercially viable for years, continued research is essential.
Otherwise, if other game companies launch virtual reality games in a few years, it will be too late to start catching up.
Many large companies and countries have been eliminated by the tides of the times because they did not pay attention to technological reserves.
Currently, virtual reality game project is still in its early stages, and a huge number of technical difficulties are waiting for him to lead his team to overcome.
Lisa sighed, "Kids grow up so quickly; don't focus solely on work and miss out on their childhood."
Melody looked at Matt expectantly, her eyes shining with tears.
"Daddy, all the other kids have their dads to play with!"
Matt looked at Melody, and all the prepared words got stuck in his throat.
"Alright, let's start early and finish early, I still have to go back to work!"
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Lisa smiled, "That's right. And didn't Melody tell you? The movies at this amusement park's cinema are different; they can make you feel like you're really there. Doesn't that sound like the virtual reality technology you're working on?"
"Maybe you can find some inspiration here!"
Matt chuckled, saying, "What are you thinking?"
"Do you know how many of the world's top companies are researching virtual reality technology?"
"They've been researching this technology for more than ten years, and all they've come up with is VR, a 3D game technology."
"Achieving true virtual reality technology is a long and difficult road for all tech companies and top scientists!"
"If a small amusement park can overcome such technology, I'll do a headstand and wash my hair for the whole company!"
Lisa looked at Matt with disgust, saying, "You barely have any hair left, don't mess around. Are you going to actually do that?"
The family quickly got out of the car and walked towards the ticket office.
Along the way, they encountered many other tourists who came to play.
"Finally, it's the weekend, I can happily play in the arcade for two days!"
"Yeah, I specially rented a Porsche sports car and drove it, and the feeling is exactly the same as in the game, I can't find any difference!"
"Are you all here to play games? I'm not, I'm bringing my girlfriend to practice driving! Last week, I brought my girlfriend to practice for half a day, and her skills improved a lot!"
Several game enthusiasts passed by Matt.
"I can't believe this amusement park is so small, but there are so many people!" Lisa said, looking at the long line at the ticket office, a little surprised.
Matt ignored Lisa, but frowned, looking puzzled at the game enthusiasts passing by.
Come to the amusement park's arcade to play?
The feeling of racing in the game is exactly the same as in reality?
And then there are people who practice driving in the game and then go to take the driver's test?
Are these people joking?
As the technical vice president of a famous Penguin game company, he has also developed racing games.
But no matter how you develop it, even if you use physical simulators like steering wheels, it is impossible to achieve the same feeling as in reality.
At this stage, games are games, and reality is reality. These are two different dimensions; how can you get the same experience?
"Probably just a few outsiders," Matt muttered to himself.
"What are you standing here for?"
Lisa held Melody's hand in one hand and three tickets in the other, calling out to Matt.
Matt came back to his senses and hurriedly followed.
The family of three passed through the entrance after checking their tickets and officially entered the park.
There was a map at the entrance of the park, which marked the amusement facilities that were currently open to the public.
"Death Coaster, Death House... Hyper Velocity Coaster!" Lisa read out one by one, saying, "This amusement park has so few amusement facilities to play with!"
Matt didn't say anything, but looked at a corner of the map, where there was an oval egg-shaped building with the words "Arcade" written below.
For some reason, the idea of wanting to go and find out was stirring in his heart.
"The Wonderland 6D Cinema is this way." Lisa smiled, "Come on, honey!"
"Okay." Matt followed behind Lisa with a heavy heart, and soon came to the entrance of the Wonderland cinema.
At this time, a large group of children had gathered at the entrance of the cinema.
Every child was shouting to watch the fairy tale movie!
"So many kids?" Matt was taken aback.
"Honey, look at this, isn't this the technology you're pursuing?" Lisa pointed to a sign at the entrance of the cinema, which was the description of the cinema.

"Have you ever imagined yourself being in a fairy tale world like Alice, defeating the dragon with the warrior to rescue the princess? Living with Snow White and the dwarfs? Conquering the prairie with Simba and becoming the king?"
"This amusement facility will allow visitors to travel through a world full of childlike fun in a semi-participant way."

After Matt finished reading, he chuckled, saying, "It's probably just some low-quality special effects used to trick kids who are not fully mentally developed. It shouldn't be the same thing as the virtual reality technology I'm researching."
