Chapter 4: Little Moments, Big Feelings
Love wasn't just about grand gestures—it was in the little moments, the stolen glances, and the unexpected kindness.
Emma & Liam: Midnight Surprises
One evening, after a long day at the café, Emma was exhausted. She lay on the couch, scrolling through her phone when a message from Liam popped up.
Liam: Look outside.
Confused, Emma walked to her window and peeked out. There he was, standing outside her house, holding up a small bag.
She rushed downstairs and opened the door. "Liam? What are you doing here?"
He grinned, holding up the bag. "I figured you'd be tired, so I brought you your favorite caramel latte and a croissant."
Emma’s heart melted. "You came all this way just for that?"
Liam shrugged, stepping closer. "I'd do a lot more just to see you smile."

She laughed, reaching for the bag, but before she could take it, he pulled it away playfully. "No kiss, no coffee."
Emma rolled her eyes, but with a shy smile, she leaned in and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "Happy now?"
Liam handed her the bag, his face slightly pink. "Very."

Charlotte & Oliver: The Rainy Day Walk
Charlotte and Oliver had been walking home from the library when the sky darkened. Within minutes, heavy rain poured down.
Charlotte shrieked, trying to cover her head. "Great! Now I'm soaked!"
Oliver laughed, completely unbothered as he extended his arms out to the rain. "Come on, Char, it's just water!"
"You might enjoy looking like a drenched puppy, but I do not," she huffed.
Oliver suddenly grabbed her hand and twirled her under the rain. "Then dance with me."
"Oliver!" she yelped as he spun her around. But despite herself, she started laughing.
"See? You're having fun."
Charlotte shook her head, pretending to be annoyed. "You're ridiculous."
"But you like it," Oliver smirked.
She bit her lip, not answering.
Oliver suddenly took off his jacket and placed it over her head. "Fine, let's get you home before you catch a cold."
Charlotte glanced up at him, her heart pounding. Maybe, just maybe, she did like it.

Millie, Lucas & Henry: The Ice Cream Date
One weekend, the group decided to go for ice cream. Millie excitedly dragged Lucas and Henry to the counter.
"Strawberry for me!" she said.
Lucas smirked. "Cookies and cream, obviously."
Henry, still deep in thought, finally said, "I'll have whatever Millie’s having."
Lucas laughed. "Dude, do you even like strawberry?"
Henry shrugged. "It's… okay."
Millie giggled. "I feel honored!"
As they sat down, Millie took a bite and suddenly turned to Lucas. "Oh! Try mine!"
Before Lucas could take the spoon, she playfully shoved a bite into his mouth.
Lucas groaned dramatically. "Ew! Too sweet."
"Rude!" Millie gasped, making a face.
Henry, watching the interaction, hesitated. Millie suddenly turned to him. "Here, Henry, you try!"
She held out a spoonful, and Henry froze for a second before leaning in to take a bite. He swallowed and smiled. "I like it."
Millie beamed. "See? Henry gets it!"
Lucas rolled his eyes. "That’s because he’s too nice to say otherwise."
Henry looked away, hoping no one saw the way his ears turned red.
