fifth room: Ch 13

"Alright that was pretty easy, as always. Next room should have 5 golems, you all know the plan, let Al take on most of them while we pick the rest off." - Kaz

The party begins walking through the tunnel.

ok, making a chest was a lot more difficult than I thought, I had to make stone function like it should never function to set it up, honestly I cannot wait to learn more about mana, spells and so on, so that I can make a platform that will raise whatever reward from the ground once all enemies are defeated, or maybe make a wall open up to reveal the reward, I know this is possible without mana... But do you REALLY expect me to know hot to do something so complicated, a simple chest is enough well stone chest but whatever. The party is nearly here as well, and I have everything setup including the little 'reward' inside the chest.

"Hold on, there are only 3 golems. Al go in front, Me and Sleth will be to your left and right, just behind you." - Kaz

The party funnels in, while the golems have already noticed them and are on the move.

"Ok the one in the centre is bigger. It must be a mini boss or something, Zach take out 1 of the little ones with a spell, Me and Al will focus on the bigger one, while Sleth you take out the other little one, then join us." - Kaz

"Ok, but it will take a minute to cast." - Zach

"Alright, then just aim for the big guy, I will get that one instead, and Al don't push yourself." - Kaz

Aldric, Kaz and Sleth began to move immediately while Zach began to cast immediately

"Oh Mother Earth, Grant This Child Of Earth And..." - Zach

Aldric was the first to clash, the golem was slightly faster then the smaller ones making them get closer much quicker. The golem immediately goes for a punch, just like the smaller golems, Aldric raises his shield, the collision of rock and shield made an even louder sound than any other times, with each punch creating a dent and pushing Al back 1 step at a time.

"This one's strong, my shield will not be able to hold out for long." - Aldric

"I can tell just by the sound alone, but try to dodge as well." - Zach

on Sleth's side, once the golem got close enough, it's core was pierced by a dagger thrown by Sleth who has gotten the hang of dealing with these weaker golems, he is on his way to retrieve the dagger. Kaz meanwhile has only just reached his opponent, and it managed to hold out for a mere moment, before also falling while Sleth picked up his dagger.

With the smaller golems dealt with, Kaz and Sleth both, are in full sprint to to support Aldric.

Aldric, on the other hand shortly after calling out to Zach, had his shield snap then break with a now fist size hole in the middle of it, which he tosses toward the golem causing it to bounce right off and hit the floor with a clatter. Aldric now had no shield and a full force fist flying toward him, and he did the only thing he could, he raised his hands to block, causing his arms arm, to emit countless cracking sounds along with his left emitting 1 final bone snapping sound, before being flung back, hitting a wall then falling unconscious.

Kaz and Sleth make it to Aldric, then begin to distract the golem themselves.

"Celi, Go check on him and Zach, how long until the spell is done!" - Kaz

  "Now!" - Zach

Before anyone could register his words, a boulder sized rock, with a sharp tip, flew past hitting the golem, causing it to fly back, but not fall, the golem had continued punching, reducing it's push and breaking the rock, along with destroying it's own arms completely, then the golem began to slowly regenerate it's arms, allowing the rock to climb him and rebuild his arms.

"Quick, Kill it before it gets it arms back." - Celi

Zack and Sleth began to run up on the golem, Sleth tried to throw his dagger, but the core only cracked, and did not break, while Kaz, once in range, did the finishing blow, directly hitting the core, Shattering it.

"We dealt with the golem, Celi how is he?" - Kaz said worried as he ran back.

"... he is fine, he just broke his arm and got knocked unconscious, he will not be able to fight until he is healed, and I already stopped the bleeding , but I cannot fix his bones." - Celi said with a relieving sigh.

  "That's good..." - Kaz

"come on it is not your fault, you did the best you could." - Zack

"Anyway, now to distract you, what is that?" - Zack said while pointing across the room.

Kaz along with everyone else, turned their heads looking at a strange perfectly square rock. Everyone, except Celi, slowly moved up to it before they noticed a strange slit, then everyone got confused.

  "A chest, a rock chest?" - Kaz

"Why is there a chest before the boss room?" - Zack

  Sleth tilted his head, confused.

  "Maybe it's a trap, or a mimic." - Kaz

"No, a mimic would never appear on the first floor of a dungeon, or at least not this one, judging by what we have went through so far."

  "So a trap?" - Kaz

Zack gave a look that said he was unsure.

  "Alright, Sleth do your thing."

Sleth nods, then walks up to the chest and crouches, taking out 1 straight very thing wooden line along with a hook version of the line.

Sleth stands up, looks at Kaz then shakes his head.

"Alright Zach, you check if it is trapped on the mana side." - Kaz

"I already checked, it is not though there is a lot of mana inside, there are none of the tell-tale signs." - Zach said with a shrug.

Kaz turns back to the chest.

"Alright, I will open it then, pull me back if you notice anything." - Kaz

  "Ok." - Sleth

Kaz, after a while of convincing himself, finally takes a step toward the chest, then another and another, until he is close enough to open it, he crouches and after another bout of convincing himself, he lifts the lid.

Inside, Zach sees, a sword made completely of stone, without any special details to it, giving it a look of one of those swords statues hold.

"What the hell it this shit?" - Kaz blurted out.
