I tried the incantations only and by the second week I managed to remember the first sentence fuzzily, I then switched to the runes on the third week but I strangely got a fierce head ache while trying to remember the runic glyphs may be because I was ahead of myself, though I had a little headway and by the fourth week the result, it was of no substance.

On the fifth week I managed to fully cram the incantation in my memory, made a headway in the incantations on the sixth week but with little mistakes recorded though.

On the seventh through the eight week, I could basically recall the incantations but no headway with the runic symbols yet, with a barely passable for the incantations time to take the runes seriously?!.

THA F*CK!, I think those sales guys for the inferior talismanic papers are friggin' rippers, 2 gold for a thousand papers?, it doesn't even help that Xiao Xiao laughed at my plight when I explained to her why my mood got dark that evening.
Anyways still practicing my incantations till my mind calms down though any ways this is the ninth week of practice.

On the tenth week, I can now recall the chants without much stress on my part no headway on the runes yet rendered around 134 pieces of paper useless though, better get some more from the SHU HE
market next month lest my 'progress' gets stunted.

On the eleventh week, I got my order, and under the guidance of the scholar managed to complete 10 runes correctly, noted that the immediate edges of the paper seemed to shimmer like a roof on a sunny day so I decided to check the previous attempts alas no shimmer paper to get, maybe the limited energy got spent.

On the twelfth week, I wanted to practice the rest but got stopped told to practice what I've gotten to know till it became second nature, shimmering papers galore!, though the scholar seemed to have a special interest of them ehn.

2443 papers later, I was allowed to continue mastering more runes, not much event with the exception of a heap of shimmerless waste paper with minor success on the thirteenth week

This is the fourteenth week now, I'm getting the nuances of the other 27 runes I picked off the pile, got 18 of them to shimmer and then put aside the rest of them in order to perfect the ones I've already grasped making 28 out of 72 which means it remains 44 more to go!, almost there I patted myself in the back

On the fifteenth week, I went to the market in high spirits and paid over 22 gold imperials to get low quality talisman papers and high quality spell scroll papers which didn't come cheap and that overt move attracted some unsavory attentions which was promptly crushed by Xiao Xiao of which I intended to 'craft' a book using the spell scroll paper why to hold theQi power of the runes of course.

On week sixteen through fifty two, I concentrated on completely mastering the runes inscription method which was almost complete remaining but 5 more runes to go.

I complete the repertoire! yes I can now rite them runes better. I was going to start my break through before I receive a firm red light from 'the scholar' and 'my maid', why?, I asked indignantly, then they explained the danger of rushing head-on towards breakthrough without much consideration that those who luckily breakthrough did so with luck in accordance, lest could lose all chance at cultivation of worse warp themselves spiritually which much more than often doesn't end well for the cultivator in question all of that took me from the fifty third week to the fifty sixth weeks.

I told my maid to help procure more papers the same quality I normally ordered only to get the news of price increase and with the vexation from not being permitted to attempt a breakthrough still simmering within my heart, my ire erupted that evening much to her amusement.

It was a simple rinse and repeat of both on paper runic inscriptions and incantations I even managed to fully couple together those spell scrolls into a well to do book with my maids and the scholars help though, she helped in the actual crafting and he helped in guiding how it should be crafted I only described what I have in mind to them , in due time able to inscribe all of the runes on paper at once.

Time to use different 'test specimens' for example I noticed a tree near to the outskirts of the village growing really tall for its kind and I wanted to test some of my ideas on it but not wanting to damage it I decided to test on the ones around it first and then the tree once I got the hang of it.
weeks 97-110
I spent this time etching on rocks surfaces specially chosen by Xiao Xiao and some chosen by me the runes while chanting the incantations by heart comes easy now it was still an effort at least vicious beast blood made it easy to carve since it's energetic potential made it easy to etch itself on normal surfaces hence the need for talismanic papers when using it the last time hurts like fuck if it spills on your body
Though heard some people not being able to break through will use its blood to 'temper' the body to be able to dish out more force per body unit, don't know the veracity of the claim though, done with them I placed them under the giant tree that I etched with runes leaving them there as mere exercise

Note this, 'fierce' organisms have hoarded vitality eaten from vital plants, dead vicious beasts or stayed in a region where a powerful person/beast died to become 'more,' more than just normal lest the 'initiation process will just kill them' some could be lucky and find beast that died of not being able to survive the transition process to a vicious beast and eat their corpses there by amassing vitality.

As for humans they first build their spirit root at theQi Root stage then ascend to spirit refinement stage before they become nobles and then become a Deva, this Deva stage is when they become void breakers and ascend to the higher realms, away from this current reality
