"That's it, I can't take this anymore. I'm not spending another minute in this godforsaken mall waiting to die. Everyone get ready, were leaving to the Montox site. NOW!"
Rebecca storms off as the others shake their head in disgust after seeing Tommy drag the dead infected person down the open floor. He drops the body as he puts his hands on his hips and gave a smug expression.
"Leaving so soon? Well good luck out there then. It's not like you're going to last more than five seconds out there anyways, but good luck anyways."
Rebecca stops and slowly turns around with a raised eyebrow,
"What do you mean by that?"
"What? you thought you would wait a couple of hours in this place hoping that those zombies outside would lose interest and walk off? You have no idea how persistent these fucking things are. If you don't believe me, then just look outside on the rooftop. You'll see what I mean."
He nonchalantly walks away from the group as he softly yanks the shotgun away from one of Rebeccas men who was holding his shotgun. Nakoma and Ellis both looked at Rebecca waiting for her response. Rebecca rolled her eyes and signal the others to follow her lead. They were disgruntled, not by her order, but the fact they had to see another horrendous thing that Tommy has to show them. They all walked around the mutilated corpse as the smell was putrid. It smelled of sulfur, rotting fish, and human feces. It made even the harden soldier of Rebecca's entourage gag from the foul smell. Tommy leads them to a maintenance hallway that led upstairs to the rooftop. It was a quiet walk all the way up the stairs, but Nakoma was the first to break the silence.
"Tommy? That person- or... zombie... you took out. Has that been happening a lot?"
He looked back still walking up without missing a step.
"Oh for sure. These bastards have been pretty sneaky lately. They keeping popping up out of nowhere. Most likely some vent around the building. These bastards are like rats, soon as they get a smell, they are relentless."
"Doesn't that bother you? Not even a little bit?"
"Why would it? It's not like they are that sneaky. Sure, they somehow manage to find their way inside. When they do get inside, they make a whole lotta noise. So it's pretty much easy to deal with them."
Rebecca squints her eyes at him and scoffs.
"Jesus you're a fucking lunatic for not caring at least a tiny bit."
"Why should I? This is the most fun I ever had in years! Hahaha!"
The whole group finally reached the rooftop and were relieved to breath in the cold night air. The city lights were still on, while another building illuminated the area not by its lights, but by the massive fire bellowing inside its tower. The were so focused on the unusual ways on why the city lights still remained on that they nearly missed the horror that occurred here. several of infected bodies were sprawled everywhere. Some had gunshots, others had mutilated corpses from a specific person's handiwork. There were even full blown skeletons with barely any meat on their bones left. Only a few parts of scalp hair and tendons hanged from what's left of the corpses.
Tommy rested his shotgun on his shoulder as he casually strolls through the mangled massacre.
"Yeah... these poor bastards got locked up here with several of those zombie bastards. It was not a pretty end for them."
Saying as he playfully kicked the skull across the floor. Bloody handprints smeared all across the vents and doors leading downstairs. It was a scene straight out of a horror film. Tommy rests his foot on the ledge of the rooftop and lowers his shotgun. He loudly whistles, signaling the others to take a look. The others slowly walked to the ledge and were horrified what the saw. The whole parking lot was filled to the brim with infected. It was a literal sea of undead walking corpses. The air was filled with the growls and moans of the infected. They walked aimlessly in circles, twitching and snapping in the air. Nakoma kneeled down trying to process what she is seeing with her own eyes. She looks over to the side and sees the body of a woman leaning over the ledge as blood slowly drips down her arm. Her face caved in with repeated bashes to the face with a sharp weapon.

"I say it's pretty much clear for you guys to go on ahead. Go, before your window closes. Now's your chance to escape this place."
Tommy said with a giant smug across his face.
Rebecca gritted her teeth and snapped back at him.
"Jesus fucking Christ you're more annoying then Nakoma. Alright then, pretty boy, what would you recommend we should be doing?"
He smiled sinisterly and slowly giggled.
"Oh I have a plan. A waaaaaaay better plan. But I want something in return though."
Rebecca grunted for a good moment, " What... do... you... want... then...?"
" Just give me a place to stay with tons of alcohol and games to relax and I'll help you get out of this place. And, to sweeten the deal, I'll even help you fight against Jackson. Whatcha think?"
He stuck his hand out for a handshake, waiting for a response from her. Nakoma looks back and forth anticipating the answer on what comes next. Rebecca paused as she looked at the hand of this psychopath. She makes an annoyed face but agrees to the terms. He yells in excitement and leans into Rebecca and calmly speaks with that giant dopey grin on his face.
"Follow me, hehehehehe..."
He leads them back downstairs back to his home area. He reveals to them hidden tires underneath the floor in the back of the store the shuttle was in. Pieces of reinforce metal and bars all in a single hole in the floor. Nakoma looked down in confusion and slowly looked at Tommy.
"What even is all this?"
"That my naive little girl, is our ticket out of here. Watch and learn."
For several hours Tommy and Rebecca's men helped lift the shuttle as they installed the tires. Tommy wears a face shield as he welds and adds more iron reinforcement onto the shuttle. He reinforces an old iron sign that hung from an old store and adds it as a battering ram to the front of the shuttle. The once sad looking shack home that Tommy was sleeping in was now transformed into an iron behemoth. He quickly siphoned some gas from sprawled out generators across the mall that were inside the stores of the merchants. He slowly got into the seat and turned the key. The engine stalled for a moment until the engine roar loudly like a monster's roar. He smacked the wheel and yelled in victory.
He leans over on his seat and looks at the whole group.
"Everyone ready to leave?"
Few of the group smiled and quickly hopped on. Rebecca, Nakoma and Ellis were the last ones to go. Hesitant on what they were about to experience. Loudspeakers were inside the shuttle facing outwards and some facing inside their shuttle. Nakoma looked nervous as she stands behind Tommy. There were no seats inside, only a hammock that Tommy slept in. Everyone standing and holding onto the railing that hung above them. Tommy giggles as he places a track inside the radio and turns the volume up all the way up. The speakers chimed and static until a fast guitar began to play. A heavy metal song began to play as Tommy ready himself.
"Pucker your assholes everyone! It's about to go full metal!"
Everyone braces themselves as the song "B.Y.O.B" plays extremely loud through the speakers. The wheels spun as they burn rubber leaving a smoke trail behind. He quickly drives around the corners until a long stretch of pathway is in their view. The doorway all the way on the other end as he floors it with an evil smile on his face. Everyone else inside, even Rebecca was slightly scared. The shuttle zoomed down the corridor of the mall with intense speed as the double doors came closer and closer. A small ramp built before hand was placed as Tommy leaned forward getting ready to ram the doors. Everyone saw what he was doing and braced for impact. Like a missile, He shot out of the doors with no sign of resistance or slowing down. The doors exploded as the shuttle flew out into the parking lot filled with the sea of infected. The infected quickly snapped their heads to the direction of the exploding doors.
They were quickly smushed as the shuttle plowed through them. Slicing them and running over the dead. The speakers echoed loudly as the words repeated over and over again,
Where the fuck are you?!
Where the fuck are you?!
Why don't presidents fight the war?!
Why do they always send the poor?!
Why don't presidents fight the war?!
Why do they always send the poor?!
Why do they always send the poor?!
Why do they always send the poor?!
Why do they always send the poor?!
All they could hear inside the shuttle was that loud metal song and the maniacal laughter of Tommy as he yells and cheers running over the dead with his shuttle.
"I say it's pretty much clear for you guys to go on ahead. Go, before your window closes. Now's your chance to escape this place."
