After dropping off the others and making sure everyone got to their rooms safely Isaac and Val met in the woods under the light of the moon. They decided to come out here to open the next seals in their body and needed privacy for it.
“Before we begin I think we need to talk.” Isaac said, pacing around nervously.
“What is wrong Isaac? I thought everything was okay.”
“There is nothing wrong and that is the problem! We killed people tonight and yet I feel nothing! We nearly died when William gave us those bloodlines and except for the initial pain it just felt like a normal day of the week. I am scared of what has happened to us and what is going to keep happening to us.” Isaac stopped pacing and looked at Val with tears running down his face.
“I know it is a lot but I thought you were happy, it has honestly freaked me out too. Especially after getting sucked into that book in the library and feeling nothing for it. Like it is just normal for it to happen.” Val grabbed Isaac and hugged him tightly. “We will figure this out, but I think we need to talk to each other more when things like this come up. We can’t keep bottling it up and pushing it aside.”

“I know Val but I am scared, you know I’ve never been good with sharing my emotions with others. I am so used to keeping it from everyone and locking it all away. But I promise I will try, at least for you.”
“I will always be here for you, you know that Isaac. No matter what your brain tells you I will be with you till death does us part and I will be with you in every life after. So you better get used to being stuck with me.”
“I feel like it is the other way around, but are you okay with being with someone as broken as me?”
“You aren’t broken Isaac, and I wouldn’t be happier without you. We are like two halves of the same coin. I can’t exist without you.”
“Thank you Val, and I am sorry to drag you into all of this with me. I was just afraid to lose the only true family I have left. Along with being excited to finally have magic to share with you.”
“You don’t have to apologize for anything, I am as happy as I can be getting to be with you. We will get through this together okay?”
“Okay.”
As they finished talking they stood there in the forest clearing feeling afraid of the future to come but happy that they have each other. Standing in silence they listened to the forest and just held each other in happiness.

Hey everyone sorry for disappearing for so long, I had planned to edit the previous chapters and then keep writing but I had a pretty serious mental health crisis and was unable to write. I will do my best to keep writing and publishing chapters but I don’t know if I can. I don’t want to give this up but life has been a serious struggle and it has been tough.
