Chapter 104 Shooting Part 3

  Chapter 104 Shooting Part 3

  "Achoo!"

She pulled out a tissue and wiped her red nose, then snuggled deeper into the couch, wrapping herself in the thick blanket.

It's really unlucky to say that after returning from the scene yesterday, he caught a cold and had a low fever. After taking medicine, he slept until almost noon before feeling a little better.

"Ryan, it's time for your medicine." Jin Silie walked into the bedroom with a cup of water.

She let out a soft sigh. Nicole Kidman was about to arrive in Poland and if she saw Ryan like this, she had no doubt the woman would kill herself.

"Give it to me, Pete." Natalie stood up from her chair and took the water glass and pills.

"Alright then... I won't disturb you two anymore, what do you want to eat for lunch?"

  "Whatever," Ryan said nonchalantly.

"Dummy, there's no such thing as free food in this world."

As Ryan swallowed the pill, Natalie couldn't help but stab him with a sentence.

"Dear Nate, I'm already miserable enough, do you have to quarrel with me too?" Ryan glared at him with pale cheeks and a red nose, looking really pitiful.

Natalie puckered up her mouth and swallowed back what she was about to say, anyway this guy is already like that, so just let him off.

She stopped talking altogether, snuggled into the sofa, picked up a book and started reading.

Ryan was bored, flipping through TV channels, always the same few programs he couldn't understand. He wanted to write something, but his head felt heavy and dull. Earlier, Natalie had been chatting with him, but now she was engrossed in a book, not even speaking. Even if Ryan tried to start a conversation, the girl would only respond with a vague "uh-huh".

"Nate, what are you looking at? You seem so absorbed." Ryan thought the book in her hand looked a bit familiar.

"That's from your room in London." Natalie wasn't being polite at all. "Sorry, forgot to greet the master."

Natalie waved the book in her hand at him, and Ryan made out - "Directing 101".

This book was bought by him and Nicole when they settled in London, at which time he purchased many books on film and play scripts, several of which were about directing, but after buying them, he put them on the bookshelf without even looking at them.

Would Natalie be interested in this? Ryan furrowed his brow, thinking for a moment before slowly recalling that, wasn't it, in the last year of her past life, Natalia had already started working on her directorial debut.

"Are you interested in the director?" he asked Natalie, who was watching with great interest.

"Let's put it this way, Ryan," Natalie said, putting down the book with a hint of stubbornness in her expression. "I've found that trying to outdo you in acting... well, it's extremely difficult, but I don't want to lose to you, you annoying idiot. There has to be one area where my talent completely surpasses yours!"

It's clear that this girl's ambition is not ordinary and her competitive spirit is also unusually strong.

"Alright, Natalie, the day you win that little gold man for Best Director." Ryan's eyes rolled, as if the possibility was slim, "I'll buy out all three major networks' prime time slots and tell the entire nation that Ryan Jenkins is not worthy of Natalie Herschler."

"Just you wait and see, Ryan." Natalie clenched her small fist at him.

By the second day, Ryan was more or less recovered. His body was indeed robust and as long as he was away from the cold environment, his recovery speed was particularly fast.

Regardless of Jin Silie's persuasion, he insisted on going to the scene, and the reason was simple: Natalie had to make her film debut in front of the camera.

It has to be said that this girl is extremely intelligent, and in terms of performing talent, Ryan feels inferior. If he hadn't been acting for over a decade, every day, every second, there's no way he could surpass her in acting skills.

Although she had no experience in acting in front of the camera, Natalie had performed in more than ten stage plays. Except for the first scene where she made a rookie mistake - unconsciously looking at the camera - which led to several NGs, she quickly found her state afterwards.

Especially, she was born in Jerusalem as a Jew, and her grandmother was a hero during World War II, having her own understanding of this history, playing the role of a panicked little girl who wants to find a hiding place in the Nazi's great purge with ease.

  "Round 21, Act 11, Start!"

A Jewish girl wearing glasses and her mother rushed into the room, opened a hidden compartment in the floor, and a middle-aged woman hiding inside pulled the girl in but blocked the mother.

  "You have a blue card!"

"Now the blue card is useless!" Mother waved her hand anxiously, "They are going to massacre the isolation zone!"

"There's no place for you here." The middle-aged woman refused her request and was about to pull up the floorboard.

"Mommy!" The girl shrieked, clinging tightly to her mother's hand. "Mommy, I want to be with you."

  "Great!" Spielberg stood up satisfactorily.

Mrs. Sherry picked up Natalie's coat and was about to walk over, Ryan hastily took it over, smiled at her, and hurriedly walked to Natalie's side, putting the thick coat on the girl's body.

Mrs. Sherry shook her head and sat back in her chair, hoping that the two would remain as close as they were now when they grew up.

"Nate, your performance was great." Ryan rarely praised her with a sentence.

"Really?" Natalie blinked her eyes, without a hint of modesty. "I think so too."

Natalie's share of the play was much larger than Ryan's, and she, like him, refused to accept payment for her performance, even though it wasn't much money.

Natalie's performance was recognized by many professionals, including Steven Spielberg, who said that if Natalie were not a little older, he would have cast her as the little girl in the red dress.

One moment they were filming a Jewish girl hiding from the Nazi purge in a studio, the next they moved to an outdoor location where they listened to a speech by a Nazi officer.

Under the flagpole in the military camp, hundreds of Nazi SS troops stood at attention. Ammon Goeth held a map and delivered an icy speech.

"Today is a historic day, today will be forever remembered in history. Many years later, young people will ask with reverence about everything that happened today. Today is a historic day and you are the participants."

Amon Goeth's face was extremely calm, as if the big purge that the SS was about to carry out was the most normal thing.

"Six hundred years ago, the Black Death swept through Europe, a plague that took countless lives. Jews were blamed for the disease and at that time, Polish King Casimir the Great allowed Jews to come to Krakow, so they came, wave after wave, with wagonloads of luggage, settling down here and developing."

"They came with nothing, nothing! And now they're thriving. For six hundred years, Jews have been living in Krakow, but all of this will end tonight and become a legend, as if it never happened."

Ammon Goeth paused for a moment and said with great certainty, "Today is a historic day!"

After Spielberg yelled "cut", the surrounding area fell silent, with the Jewish extras gathered nearby looking on with disgust and hatred in their eyes, even though they knew these were just actors, they didn't hide their attitude towards the Nazis.

This is a nation with clear loves and hates! Even Natalie's clenched fist was trembling slightly.

Ryan discreetly squeezed her hand, calming her down.

Perhaps the Jews have this and that shortcomings, but they are a nation that must settle accounts with their enemies. Since the end of World War II, whether it is Israel or Jewish organizations in various countries, they have never given up on settling accounts with the Nazis.

Even the Nazi party members stained with their compatriots' blood, hiding in the vast savannas of Africa and the tropical rainforests of South America, relentlessly carried out one manhunt after another, never relaxing.

In order to thoroughly nail Hitler and the Nazis to the pillar of shame, both official and civilian organizations have been making unremitting efforts. Perhaps many people would deny the existence of the Holocaust, but after the release of "Schindler's List", all this has been recognized.

He couldn't help but think of the ancient capital that had gone through hardships in his previous life. When the big shots of this city went to Japan for an interview, they faced Japanese officials who denied the massacre during formal talks. Instead of protesting or storming out, they smiled and responded with "set aside disputes and develop together".

Filming is still ongoing, although he no longer has his own scenes, Ryan occasionally goes to act as a temporary actor, anyway, just hiding in the crowd and acting as a living prop.

As the afternoon approached closing time, an assistant from the crew came over and whispered a few words in Jin Silie's ear. Ryan caught the name "Nicole Kidman" and immediately understood that she had rushed over from Los Angeles.

"Nicole is here!" Ryan's mind was filled with this thought, and he didn't care about Natalie beside him, letting out a strange cry as he rushed towards the studio door.

Golden curly hair fluttered in the wind, a purple tight-fitting windbreaker wrapped around her curvaceous body, and although fatigue was written on her pale and rosy face, it burst into a smile brighter than the sun at noon when she saw him.

This is the person closest to him in this life, and also the one he loves the most.

  "Nick!"

Ryan let out another strange cry and charged forward like a bullet, at this moment his eyes only had the Australian girl.

  "Hey, dear, slow down."

Nicole Kidman swept Ryan into her arms, the force of the impact sending her stumbling backward several steps as she steadied herself and planted a firm kiss on his forehead.

"Nico, I missed you." Ryan hugged her tightly, unwilling to let go for a moment.

"I miss you too, dear." Nicole hugged him tightly as well.

  "Cough...cough..."

A reminder cough came from beside him, Ryan rolled his eyes and reluctantly let go of Nicole Kidman, looking over.

There were two men and three women, apart from Nicole's assistant, one of whom he knew, his big nose was too striking, it was Jean Reno.

As for another sloppy fat man, it should be Luc Besson.
