A desperate Move

The war between the two cns sted for half a month. In addition to powerhouses like Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara that caused quite the stir, among the younger generation, Chu Yang's name also gradually entered the public's field of vision. With fame comes equal amounts of danger, after learning that he was the direct heir trained by both Hashirama and Tobirama. The Uchiha cn was determined to kill him, after all a genius that even Hashirama valued was trouble.

After all, he might become the next Hashirama, and they could not allow that to happen. Therefore, in the next few battles with them, Chu Yang was the enemy's main focus on the battlefield. Wherever Chu Yang appeared, it would become the second battle center right after Hashirama and Madara. Tobirama was no fool, he used his student as bait for the opposing forces as he id ambushes for them. But this did not deter the Uchiha's in the slightest, as they redoubled their efforts to kill him off.

As soon as Chu Yang appeared on the battlefield, the opposing side would send out their elites from the cn to surround him and get rid of him. The unimaginable troop strength and the hysterical madness of the Uchiha prevented the subsequent ambushes from achieving their desired effect. Tobirama's tactic worked so well that he did not expect the results, as a consequence he could account for it as control started to slip out of his hands. But the time he realized, it was too te for them to withdraw back.

Chu Yang on the battlefield seems to have become a symbol of the fierce competition between the two cns. If he were to retreat to the rear for protection at this moment, the momentum of the Senju cn would severely plummet. If that were to happen, the advantage the Tobirama established would all be for over nothing. So, both sides could only keep their focus on Chu Yang. Continuously investing troops, increasing the stakes, and unching fierce offensives and defensive battles continued on the battlefield. For the direction the war was going, this was even more important than the fight between Hashirama and Madara.

Later that day, in the Uchiha campsite. Madara and his younger brother discussed the key point of how they would win this war in the brightly lit room. "Ani, if this continues, the situation is not going to be too good for us. We have to go for a desperate move right now. We need to gather our group of elite and get rid of that kid, Senju Yang. As long as he is taken care of, the rising momentum of the Senju will plummet, and this war will be over right there." Izuna gave his opinion as his eyes were bloodshot from the tremendous pressure he had been experiencing all day.

Madara did not respond immediately, as he stared at the pieces on the board. Just as his brother said, the Senju were gradually encroaching on their nd. If they were to try and maintain the status quo, it would be only a matter of time before they lose the war. "Very well, you will personally lead the team to handle this matter. You must succeed. If it fails, we will have no chance of recovering from this." Madara was quite serious about this. Izuna nodded as he left the room. Looking at his brother leaving, Madara felt a little regretful. If possible, he would like to finish it himself, but Hashirama is no slouch. After all, apart from no one can go toe-to-toe with him.

That night, Izuna summoned his elite troupe who were good at genjutsu. But in the assassination, the fewer people there are the more chance of being inconspicuous. Ten people are already the optimal number without compromising the mission. Under the moonlight, his group seamlessly blended into the shadows. At the same time, Chu Yang had just returned to his tent after a whole day of fighting. But for some reason, he could not get any sleep today. Even though his eyes were nearly drooping, at the st moment his body would suddenly jolt him up from the bed.

"What kind of strange negative buff is this?" he could not help but murmur. After tossing back and forth on his bed, he just got up feeling grumpy. He could not help but sit at the edge of the bed as he fell into doubt, "Is something wrong with me?" But as he finished that thought, he quickly shook his head. If it was not physical, then maybe something spiritual? Speaking of spirit, Chu Yang found that not only did his haki become stronger, but his intuition was sharper with the help of observation haki. "There might be some type of danger I might get into!" A fsh of inspiration struck him, as he immediately used his observation haki. Through its perception, he found that eleven people were sneaking into the camp. Their target was him since they were rushing past the sentries directly towards his tent.

"Assassination?" While he knew were shinobi, this was the first time he was at the opposite at the end of it. He left a wood clone at his tent as he left from the back. He was going to trap them. For the enemy to remain oblivious, he did not inform the guards as well. On the other hand, Izuna and his team were already within the vicinity of Chu Yang's tent. Under his signal, the guards were quickly put into illusion. "Izuna-sama, is this not going a bit too smoothly?" asked the oldest guy. "The most proficient ninja in genjutsu are all here. If this fails, we might as well surrender and stop fighting the Senju." Izuna replied coldly.

While the others were guarding, Izuna sneaked into the tent. He happened to see Chu Yang sleeping on the bed. "So young." The moment he saw him, Izuna could not help but sigh inside. The kid was considered the leader of the younger generation, and he was even younger than him. To kill such a kid, even he would feel regretful. But to show enemy sympathy is a weakness. Izuna steeled himself, as he took his kunai out and stabbed the sleeping form. The moment kunai penetrated his neck, it instantly armed Izuna as his face turned pale. "Wood clone?"
