Neon War Chapter 19: The Truth Behind Hanamichi! Wait, how did Kyozan’s oppress Demi’s?

“What’s with the shocked expression?” Zemaku Asked. “Well, um, nothing,” Lea said. “If that was truly the case Lea then, why were you staring in shock?” Zemaku questioned, seeing right through Lea’s lie. “Fine.” Lea caved in. I'll tell you everything.

Neon War Chapter 19: The Truth Behind Hanamichi! Wait, how did Kyozan’s oppress Demi’s?

“Hanamichi is my cousin!” Lea said sternly. “What?” Zemaku yelled “how can that be, he doesn’t look anything like a Demi human?” Zemaku said with confusion in his voice completely.

“Well that’s the thing, I’m part Kyozan.” Lea explained. “What it can’t be?” Zemaku replied in shock. “But it’s true.” Lea continued. “You see me and Hanamichi were around during an ancient race. And an oppressive system ruled by delinquents.” Lea explained to Zemaku. “We both were students at the Kyozan Vanderland Academy of Excellence, a school that prided itself on forging honourable delinquents.” Lea said finishing the sentence. “What do you mean by oppressive?” Zemaku asked. “Well you see Kyozan Vanderland Academy of Excellence was ran by the Michi Family!” Lea said, “and Hanamichi was a part of that family’s oppressive legacy. Everyone in that family grew up to be president of the Kyozan country and they sent their youth to high school all to keep up the tradition of Demi’s being bullied in school.” Lea layed down the information to Zemaku.

“But I thought Kyozan’s and Demi human’s were close allies?” Zemaku asked. Yes we were but, it was Hanamichi who made it the case however Hanamichi disappeared during the Kyozan war with the Kyosei’s. I thought he died but maybe he got a premonition of his destiny from Canal about Thumb’s legacy and so he decided to dedicate himself to help the next generation.” Lea said, trying to explain why Hanamichi is still alive.

“If you’re trying to say he went into cryostasis I don’t think so,” Zemaku said. “Why not?” Lea asked. “He looked like an old man.” Zemaku continued, “What?” Lea asked “but how’s that possible?” “I don’t know.” Zemaku said, answering Lea’s question. But for now let’s just get moving.

Lea and Zemaku wandered for a week. Until they found an abandoned hover car with a dead body within it. “Damn you Thumb.” Zemaku said while looking at the ground for a moment. “I don’t know who you are, but thanks for the transportation. I may finally rest my aching feet. I know you never intended on me ever borrowing your hover car, but thanking you is the right thing to do.”
