Chapter 6: In The Flesh Of Many.

As I walked out of that dark room, closing the red door behind me, I contemplated myself. What had I just witness? I've always been considered a monster from many perspectives... But this isn't about consideration anymore. I don't consider myself a monster. I AM one. My humanity was over way before this. I knew it was. Whatever made me human, was not there before, and is still not here now. Why am I struggling over such a simple fact? I was always a monster. In personality, and in actions. And now, a true monster.

I started walking through the halls of the mansion, making foot on the soft surface of the deep burgundy colored carpet, with it being on the center of the floor, covering most of it, not leaving much to see of the wooden planks that lied below. At the trace edges of the carpet, a bright, brilliant golden lining was inlain with light traces following from further in, making company. The sound of the wooden planks below the carpet released the sound of creaks, that didn't resonate of age, but of a crisp steadiness that rejoiced melodically. The stone walls, unsettingly uneven, but at the same time, perfectly carved, as though the imperfection was intended. I could hear the echoes of every step I took throghout the deep halls of the mansion, making it feel like what could be best described as a liminal space.

As I continued stepping foot into the further rooms and halls, something caught my attention; A hall that had been almost completely dyed with the color and scent of rotten, dry blood. Judging by how it looked, it seemed fresh, yet not completely. "This could not have happened any sooner than some minutes ago.", I thought to myself. A further thought wasn't allowed, as deep in the distance, loud and heavy footsteps approached my direction in a rapid pace. As I tried to look behind me, all I could see was the claw-filled hand of one of those Parasitic Corpses, as it smacked me, making me fly up to the ceiling, leaving a dent after I bounced from it down to the ground, the blood on my head and floor matching the carpet, almost.

As I started regenerating, I looked behind me. What was this? This Parasitic Corpse looked way stronger than the rest. It was approximatedly 3 to 4 meters tall, with a similar appearance to the rest, in exception it contained way more muscle tissue, a more expressive face, that looked more fused with those black larvas I'll dare to call "Parasitic Worms", and it was way stronger. Only from that first hit alone, it made me fly 7 meters up to the air, 13 meters in total length, and 7 meters of a fall. This wasn't no joke no more. As a consequence of his hit, my skull had break a bit, making my vision blurry out of a traumatization. I had also forgot how to walk, it seems, as it got closer and closer to me at a rapid pace. My jaw was also broken, but that didn't mean much, even if I wanted to speak, that hit also cutted my neck in half. I had regenerated and started to get up, ready to plan how to defend. As the beast got close enough, I could wind up enough mind to dodge it's attack, going for a hit straight to it's backbone. It's vertebrae shaked a little on impact, but what I could most notice, is that of the many parasitic worms composing it's body, some of them, specifically of the zone I had decided to hit, seemed to die and turn red, just like the ones I had injected upon myself earlier, then coming back to life, and joining the red larvas inside my body. Was this some kind of sickness to these black larvas? Perhaps a species of zombie infection for them? I couldn't think much of it, I had to get on the further move.

I delivered another hit to it's chest, some ribs seemed to make slight movement on impact, and the same effect with the larvas took place. I would get further on this later. The beast hit me again. It seemed to have weakened, but not much yet. It hit me right on the stomach, tearing some of it's muscle as it launched me back a significant amount of 11 meters, making me crash into one of the stone walls, breaking a hole into it, as I hit the other wall, this one just having a small dent. I was starting to slowly regenerate again. It's hand was big, so it teared many of my muscles for those sections, along with some bones. My lower ribs, 3 of them to be precise. Some of my backbones as well were moved, and it had teared down my rectus sheath, and external oblique

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

The hit with the walls dislocated my backbones even more, and my zygomatic and temporal bones were severely damaged. I was ligmatized, and barely could make out a thing, but with the regeneration, rapidly came out of it, and began processing what to do as I got up from the floor. I decided to wait for the beast to come enough close, and as it did, I jumped to it's head, with my hand covered in the red gel my body now possessed, I hit it's face to the ground with all my force, breaking the ground profusely as it's head went down to it. I had definitely become very strong, but just how much? The battle was giving me anxts to know.

This Parasitic Corpse, I am gonna call "Evolved Parasitic Corpse", as it's obviously stronger than any other I've seen so far, only feels a bit more pain than it's comrades, which is both an advantage and a disadvantage for me. It wouldn't notice anything I did to it more than it could see, but at the same time, it would recover from any hit I gave it without as much problem as I have. As some of the Parasitic Worms in it's head died and came back to life as red larvas, it started to get up, seemingy annoyed as it could be. It grabbed me by the chest with utmost grip, and threw me far, making me crash agaist two different walls, making me bounce off of them to the ground, as I rolled down the carpet.

Some of my skull's bones were broken again, but not further damage. The traumatization I had was rather weak compared to the ligmatization of before. I got up, and began to plan what to do next. It seemed I was strong enough to deliver hits like this beast, so as soon as it came close back again, I went for my hardest hit on it's chest. I could almost feel a shockwave as I hit it's chest with all my force, making my arm go numb, but the beast had flung atleast 7 meters from where it was, which is a considerable distance. More of the Parasitic Worms died, still turning into red larvas. Seems that whatever these red larvas were, they were a kind of mutation or enemy of Parasitic Worms. Something more to my advantage.

As I planned what to do, something came into my mind: If I could weaken the brain and the heart, they would become bland, and I could defeat this beast easily. As it came blasting with it's full speed towards me, that was almost a blitz to witness, it claw-filled hand was going down to me, with the intention to crush me like a mere fly seeing a flyswatter. I then utilized my smaller size to an advantage, and managed to move myself out of the way. With the flashlight I remembered I had, I used it's dagger to cut a hole on the beast's chest, leaving me just but enough space to infect it's heart with the red larvas. I inserted my hand, and grabbed it's heart tightly as the beast seemed even more annoyed at the action.

It tried to get my arm off with many, many hits and stabs, but I had to keep myself standing strong. Once all the parasitic worms in it's heart had died, I crushed it, and then became bland again for it's next hit. My body was destroyed, and the hit flung me back by a lot. My sternum was practically gone, my backbones dislocated, my sacrym, coccyx, and ilium cracked, and my femur was hit so hard it cracked, and dislocated my kneecap. I blocked some hits with my arm, which broke both my radius and ulna. I started regenerating back again, and it seems that the more red larvas that inhabited my body, the stronger I was and the faster my regeneration became.

I had only regenerated the upper section of my body when the beast ran back to me, It planned on kicking me against the wall. But I couldn't let that happen, or I would be already dead. I hit the ground with the full force of my arm to make me jump up to it's head again, tearing with my hand through it's eyes to stab it's brain, and as all of the black larvas died, it suddenly stopped assaulting. And with the last of strength I had before I was as exhausted as the beast itself seemed to be, I hit it's head with all my force, and another round of red gel covering my right hand. The beast's brain and craneum was completely destroyed, and was flattened as the hit once again left a dent and broke the ground...

After my win, I was left euphoric as I regenerated. I could again make a life fall at my hands. But I wasn't as mesmerized to the blood, to it's disfigured face, or to it's look of pain. I was completely in bliss of my own new found power. Maybe too much euphoric, as I let out a large smirk. All I could see was the beast's body before me, as it had died. Maybe, after all, I was born for being a monster... It's what I have seen up until now, isn't it?
