Chapter Fifty-One: Unlawful
The small courtyard is brightly lit, with a LCD TV hanging on the wall.
Today is Saturday, and on TV is playing Song Yuanshui's favorite show "Pig King Wanxiu".
But today Song Yuanshui didn't know what was wrong with him, looking at the funny show but not having a smile on his face, instead he had an absent-minded look, and his eyes kept glancing towards the door.
The little dog rested its chin on the red granite doorstep, staring straight at the outside of the door, like an abandoned woman, with a hint of desolation and despair in her eyes.
Suddenly, it seemed to feel something, and immediately stood up, shouting and running out.
Song Yuanshui looked and also hastily stood up, ran to open the door, then saw his son and others walking out of the bamboo forest.
At this time, he finally put down the burden of his heart for the past two days. Suddenly remembering Chen Xiuhui's request to call her when her son returned, he hastily turned back into the house to make a phone call.
Because they were in a hurry to catch up, Song Wen and others only gnawed some bread for dinner, now they are so hungry that their chest is stuck to their back.
Back home, Song Wen hurriedly took some vermicelli and stir-fried it briefly.
There was still cabbage in the fridge, and then went to pick some garlic sprouts, cut some cured meat, and then stir-fried the noodles with cabbage, garlic sprouts, and cured meat accompanied by satay sauce, and casually made an egg drop soup.
Song Hu and Shorty were starving, they didn't care about the taste of the noodles and soup, just shoveled them into their mouths.
After finishing dinner and taking a rest, Song Hu and Shorty Brother saw that it was already very late and were about to head back.
Song Wen looked at it and divided the pointed chestnuts he brought back. Who knew that Short Brother only wanted the two bags of pointed chestnuts he had picked.
When they went to pick, they had already agreed to divide equally. Song Hu and Song Wen naturally disagreed after hearing this. In the end, after much persuasion, Xiao Lao Xiong took another bag, but the extra bag that came out was not divided at all. Song Hu and Song Wen looked at each other helplessly and gave up. Anyway, it didn't matter about these things. Finally, Song Hu simply didn't want any of it and gave everything to Song Wen.
Song Wen then went to kill the roe deer, and each of them cut off a leg to take back. He originally wanted to give them some wolf meat, but unexpectedly neither of them wanted it, so he benefited from it instead.
Then he helped the two of them put their things in the car and watched as Song Hu drove away before turning around to go take a bath.
Normally at home, not taking a bath doesn't feel like anything, but after going on a mountain trip for one night without bathing, I felt like there were countless fleas biting all over my body, and every part of me was uncomfortable and itchy.
Thinking about it, although they got a few big bags of chestnuts and acorns in the past two days, it seems like it wasn't worth it. Not to mention that last night was spent with bated breath all night, and then carrying this huge load down the mountain. If he hadn't been rejuvenated by the spring water from the Youyi fan, he would have been exhausted just from this one trip alone.
If I were to go up the mountain alone, I could put everything in my fan and walk through the forest as if strolling in a leisurely courtyard, feeling carefree. Why get tired like an ox?
After finishing his bath and lying on the bed, Song Wen suddenly remembered the little cat he had brought down from the mountain, and hastily entered the Ruyi fan.
As soon as I entered Ruyi Shan, I saw a kitten standing by the pool, curiously looking at something and occasionally pawing at it.
He walked over to take a look and found the kitten playing with a small snail, which was tiny, white and tender. Under the kitten's paw manipulation, it stretched its head in and out, looking really cute.
Wait, where did this little snail come from?
Song Wen thought to himself that he hadn't raised any snails in his space, but then suddenly remembered that when he went to Nanzhou City before, he seemed to have picked one up and thrown it into the Ruyi fan, and hadn't taken care of it since. Could this little snail be its offspring?
He thought of it and found that big snail.
Finally, in the sweet potato leaves, I found the big snail with "Baby's Little Love" carved on it. The snail was eating the sweet potato leaves, and next to it was a pile of broken white eggshells. Not far from the broken shells, small snails were crawling around the sweet potato vines, some even crawling on the sweet potato leaves, munching away. Next to them, there were also some small hermit crabs crawling around, occasionally seeing them carrying small white garden snails and eating them.
I didn't expect that after a few days of not seeing it, this small space had actually formed a cyclical ecological food chain.
Suddenly, Song Wen found something was off. The space inside the Like Intent Fan seemed to have grown larger. He remembered that the sweet potatoes were originally planted at the edge of the mist, but now they were a short distance away from it. Upon closer inspection, he discovered that the space had indeed expanded, from about three tenths to almost five tenths. He was puzzled and wondered if the space could actually expand on its own.
In the space of Ruyi fan, originally except for the strange stone that spouted spring water, the pool, and three points of black land, all around were a piece of hazy white fog, apart from this, there was nothing else.
Now it seems that in those hazy white mists, there are some green hues within, faintly visible, as if they were large trees.
Song Wen walked over, wanting to touch and see, but was blocked by the fog again. No matter how he touched, he couldn't reach it, so he had to give up this idea.
Space really grew up, Song Wen couldn't believe it at all.
Nothing seemed to have happened! How did it suddenly get bigger? The space seemed to be the same two days ago, and I didn't enter the space yesterday. How is this possible?
Suddenly, he remembered the snake wine he drank the night before last. Could it be because of the snake wine? He thought it was impossible! If that's the case, wouldn't drinking more snake wine make the space grow continuously? This is too far-fetched! He didn't believe 100% that the expansion of space had anything to do with drinking snake wine, but he still had a glimmer of hope in his heart. Unfortunately, the snake wine from that night was already finished, otherwise, he could have drunk some more to try and see.
Maybe tomorrow I can go to Song Mingde's place and get some more snake wine to drink, try it out. Song Wen thought, made up his mind, and continued to measure the space in the Ruyi fan.
The little crabs dug small holes in the poolside as nests, crawling in and out from time to time; The small white snails also crawled around, some climbed to the edge of the pool, and some climbed onto the sweet potato leaves, comfortably eating the tender sweet potato leaves.
The kitten thought it was fun, occasionally following a small white snail as it walked back and forth, occasionally curiously poking at the shell on the small white snail's back with its paw.
After the sweet potato seedlings were planted, they grew rapidly under the nourishment of fertile soil and spring water. Nowadays, the sweet potato vines have climbed over several ridges, some of which are almost stretching to the edge of the pool. If it weren't for this, the sweet potato leaves would have been eaten up by that large white snail long ago. Now the little white snails are still small and can't eat much, but when they grow bigger, I estimate that the sweet potato leaves in this field won't be enough for them to eat either. We'll have to move them to another place; otherwise, we won't be able to eat any of the sweet potatoes from this space ourselves.
The Qingming vegetables on one side are also growing well, and some have already formed seeds.
Song Wen looked at it and went to find a bag to pack it up. When he goes out, he will scatter it in the vegetable field and wait for the tender shoots to grow. Then they can eat the tender Qingming vegetables. However, the weather is so cold now, I don't know if it can grow. It seems that we need to set up a plastic greenhouse to cultivate it.
He looked around and found the bag containing the stone frogs near the strange rock with spring water, so he walked over. Who knew that when he got closer, all the stone frogs inside were gone. It was strange that when he threw them in, the mouth of the bag wasn't tied up. He hurriedly searched for them and found those few stone frogs squatting between the strange rocks with spring water. After looking at them, he didn't bother to care about it, anyway, they could be caught again later when they were needed to eat.
He came to the bag with monkey head mushrooms, but found a hole in the bag. Upon closer inspection, several small mountain crabs were going in and out, doing who-knows-what. He tore open the bag and found that the small mountain crabs were using their pincers to eat the monkey head mushrooms. When he tried to take the crabs away from the mushrooms, the little guys clung tightly to the mushrooms, as if they would rather die than give up their food.
He was originally worried that the monkey head mushrooms he picked from the oak forest were not real monkey head mushrooms. Can they be eaten? Now, there is no need to worry about it anymore. Even if they are not monkey head mushrooms, they must be edible. The small mountain crab ate them without any problem, but he had a problem after eating them. This clearly does not conform to the laws of natural growth!
