Bob was having a great day. The poisons he had mixed in every water source near a hill top had done its job wonderfully. Almost every Pegasus the elves favourite flying horse had died sending their riders to their screaming death. Bob felt their he was going to level up soon and the elves would take at least a week to get any more flying animals to collect any elves still alive. Bob almost began to whistle as he raised his bow and sent a arrow into a elf off in the distance. Bob whistled as he rushed off to the next observation point. All the elves were heading towards the elf main camp which meant Bob could lie in wait and ambush them.
A elf typically lived between 400 and 600 years depending on the type of elf they were. That gave them hundreds of years to hone their skills and improve their classes. Even with the elves slower experience gain having such a large life made any warrior elf a powerhouse. Which meant that as a farmer Bob received a large amount of experience for each elf killed.
Bob ran to his next observation spot and seeing yet another group of elves walking to their main camp open fire with his bow. Each of Bob's arrows took a elf life. Bob finished killing the last elf and was just getting ready to head to the observation site when he spotted a Pelagius and its rider in the distance. Bob cursed the elves had gotten the few Pegasus that he had not poisoned to death and were now warning off the stragglers. Bob picked up the pace and rushed to catch the last remaining elf stragglers. The Pegasus were faster than Bob but the elves on the ground were not. All he had to do is get within range of the elves and a arrow would finish them off. Bob looked up and seeing more Pegasus in the distance knew where he had to go.
As Bob rushed to finish off as many elves as he could a horde of goblin streamed towards him. Bob looked up and smirked taking careful aim he shot at elf and then putting his bow into his bag of holding reached down and picked up a rock before rushing at the goblins. Bob tossed the rock at the leaders of the goblins who had stopped rushing forward and had begun to shove one another another forward. The rock struck the main goblin war chief and he exploded in a shower of blood and guts. For a second every goblin stopped moving and starred.
While every goblin might have been stunned for a second Bob was not. He pulled out a club and struck the front of the goblins like a tidal wave. Goblins were tossed into the air in many cases the goblins were in chunks. As Bob began to mow down the goblins. The goblins panicked and tried to run away. Pulling out a chain Bob got to work.
Goodgoblin looked at the bodies his goblins had brought back and then looked at his ally Prince Connor who was puking his lunch out. “What did you expect Bob to lay down and die because your a noble? He is not a priest of some good god or monk. That is a killer now get yourself together and lets see if we can end this.”
Massive war machines were being assembled behind Goodgoblin who suddenly paled. “Not good Bob is coming this way and at speed. Crossbows fire now.”
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Units of ten goblins lined up massive crossbows and fired them at Bob who jumped to the left and then turned and ran off. Goodgoblin cursed “He spotted us that is it pull back.” Conor stopped wiping the puke off his shoe and glared at Goodgoblin “That was not the deal you said you could kill Bob”
“I said I would try. I think one of those crossbows hit him. You know what a crossbow bolt from a crossbow 10 goblins have to wind up to shoot does to Bob. Gives him a bruise he has a iron skin passive skill. He could stand in front of us and we could shot him with our bows and slings and at the end of the day he would have dust and ruined clothes.”
Watching Bob run at a group of goblins trying to slow him down Goodgoblin winced just as Bob accelerated before crashed into the wall of goblins and came out the other side covered in goblin blood and guts. The few goblins still alive after Bob ran threw there friends began to scream.
Goodgoblin pulled out a scroll and used it to amplify his voice. “Congratulations you all have been given your wish to be able to fight Bob. As a bonus I have had your families brought to our main encampment. They can all witness your mighty prowess as you kill that wimp Bob.”
Looking around at the stunned faces of the goblins around him Goodgoblin laughed “Yes you all insisted on taking the elf's gold and now I am going to make sure you at least drive Bob out of our lands. Is Bob a turn the other cheek kind of guy? No he is a violent maniac and because you threatened me I had to let you take a shot at him. Well now your all going to help me push him off our lands. ”
Goodgoblin chuckled “Ha Ha that is me laughing because the other goblins have orders to shot you if you try and run away. Not that you would with your families back there”
A Pegasus landed and a elf jumped off. He began to speak “He ran threw the goblin ran right threw them there is a hole in that wall of goblins where he ran threw them and the ground is red with their guts”Goddgoblin sighed “That is Bob being Bob he does things like slaughter entire armies to weak creatures like goblins and apparently to the superior race of elves as well.”
Goodgoblin voice boomed out again “I would normally say a 1000 but its Bob so 100 Bob's would not be able to defeat Barney and his 30 Paladin knights. If Bob is bad how much worse would a force capable of slaughtering a 100 of him be? We need to push Bob back so we can put up some basic defences. That will allow us to flee.”
Seeing Connor turn red Goodgoblin face turned serious. “Look at the elf prince Connor he came here not knowing why he was being sent to stop a mere human. Bob is not a threat to the elves. The thousands of little Bob's that are growing up under his rule are. Now hurry up chase after Bob push him off our land. Remember behind Bob are worse terrors the human paladins and adventurers any one of who could kill Bob with one hand tied behind their back. So when you get to the human lands turn back”
Connor began to splutter and Goodgoblin looked at him “Wise up where are your bodyguards?” Connor stopped spluttering as Goodgoblin smirked
“You had to leave them behind did you not? It is called M.A.D Mutually Assured Destruction. The humans have a number of powerful adventurers. Enough that the elves have to be careful sending out a assassination squad after Bob. They are somewhat limited. Of course as there are a lot of elf powerhouses and only a few human powerhouses the elves have the ability to push for their assassins to be of quite high level.
You had enough power houses to kill Bob ten times over and yet he slaughtered you all. Now more than likely he is picking out a new skill and his elders will not let him out again. ”
Goodgoblin looked into the air where smoke signals were. “Not good Bob has reinforcements which are on the way. It looks like children. Bob is training them and plans to use my peoples blood to strengthen them.”
Looking at the goblins who Connor had bribed to attack Bob Goodgoblin voice boomed out with a spell again “Bob is coming back with reinforcements. All the goblins that took Prince Connor's gold to the front you will be given the opportunity to earn your gold. And if you fail well your families are behind you they will be given rocks and the chance to die honourably in battle. ”
