Hi. I'm alive.

  The story is back as a filthy rewrite. I won't lie, I really loved this story and had all kinds of goals for what I wanted it to be. Then I overextended myself and lost my footing all the way back at chapter 12. From there I stubbornly kept stumbling my way forward, or more like falling horizontally. So when I took a breather and sat down to put together a volume and edit it, I quickly ended up ripping the whole thing apart and putting it back together into what I wanted it to be when I first sat down and completed the giant first chapter.

  With regard to plot, the result is drastically different. That being said, I did find myself enjoying a lot of the ideas put forward in this abomination of a first draft, and many of them are coming back in some form. Some are just seeds, like the whole corruption thing I hallucinated, others are already there, like Millie showing up way earlier, and some have seemingly vanished but are lined up for the future, like the pirate/bandits.

  The newer version is going to Amazon in a little under 2 months no matter what, and that material is now fully public here on Royal Road. I decided to post it here again on the chance anyone is interested in it and doesn't pay for KU.
