Sitting alone in his dark room, Ezra continued to contemplate the events from just a while ago. Deep down he knew Saneko was unfathomably powerful, but the fact that she had such a silly name made him feel like fearing her was pointless. In fact, he started to believe that, because of her name alone, he could manage to find a way to defeat her.
"It doesn't make any sense. It just doesn't."
He bowed his head and let out a sigh. He didn't know what to think anymore. His entire worldview had shattered to pieces within seconds.
Meanwhile, Saneko was sitting on a park bench, sipping on a banana smoothie. She was of course dressed in her school uniform because she could not bare to be seen in her lazy clothing in public. Despite this however, she was kicking her legs while sipping on the smoothing, lost in thought. Not very menacing, but she was too busy thinking about more important things at this point.
"I wonder what'll happen in the next episode of 'My Mere Existence Kills Everyone'. The last episode made the main character seem kind of weak since he only killed five and a half million people. I hope they don't nerf him too bad next time."
Just then, Saneko heard a familiar voice behind her which snapped her out her trance.
"DEMON BABE! DEMON BABE!"
Saneko turned around to see that it was none other than her disciple, running up to her with jubilance. Saneko gave a half-hearted wave. She had completely forgotten that she was looking for him earlier, but she didn't really care anymore.
"Sup."
She then immediately caught herself and stood up, accidentally dropping the banana smoothie on the floor in the process. She clumsily tried to pull off a heroic pose with a full smile on her face.
"I MEAN GREETINGS!"
She was trying to play it cool, but she couldn't help but glance down at the banana smoothie that had been spilled on the ground. She angrily whispered through her smile.
"I might as well murd-"
"DEMON BABE! I MISSED YOU!"
"AH HA! YES MY DEAR DESCIPLE! HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?"
Saneko patted him on the head, trying to seem friendly, although her thoughts were much darker.
"Damn you for causing this spillage. You will pay you pathetic worm."
The boy looked up at her with an innocent smile.
"My mom bought me a new video game console and I was wondering if you would like to play with me."
Saneko's face softened. But she then immediately dismissed the boy by turning away.
"I have no such time for such tomfoolery. I am the greatest hero to ever live. I wouldn't be caught dead doing such childish activities."
The boy looked a bit sad, and nodded before also turning away.
"I understand. I'm sorry for wasting your time Demon Babe. I thought you'd like to play the new video game adaptation of 'The Strongest Since Day 1' but I know it's for little kids."
Saneko's eyes widened and she frantically put her hand on the boy's shoulder, trying to calm herself to not come off sounding too eager.
"Now I mean I didn't say I'd never play. But ONLY to show how amazing I am at the game of course."
Saneko then crossed her arms, hoping the boy didn't see through her excuse. To her benefit, the boy genuinely believed any word she would utter, so he took her statement at face value.
"COOL!"
He pulled out his handheld console and sat down on the bench. Saneko also sat back down, impatiently waiting for the boy to boot up the game.
After the boy turned the power on, he looked at Saneko and handed her the console.
"Here, you can go-"
Saneko instantly snatched the console away from him and started playing immediately. She had actually seen the announcement for this game on a Wintendo Direct, but knew such a console was a bit out of her budget.
The boy looked leaned in to look at Saneko playing the game, and Saneko was mashing every button on the console. She was visibly smiling, too focused on the game to keep her persona in check.
"Wow, you really are good at this. But I shouldn't be surprised. You are Demon Babe after all!"
Saneko couldn't be bothered to listen to whatever the boy was saying, she was too focused on playing as one of her favorite characters of all time. Once she got to the boss level, her smile grew even wider. This may have only been the first level, but she could feel so much pride in how good she was doing. Just as she was about to start fighting the boss, someone snatched the console away from her.

"HEY!"
Saneko and the boy both shouted this simultaneously. The person who took the console was Ezra. Saneko snarled at him and stood up to face him.
"Not you again. You some sort of stalker? Well I shouldn't be surprised. I am so famous and powerful after all."
Saneko haughtily put her hand over her chest which caused Ezra to simply roll his eyes.
"Listen. I don't fear you anymore, so actually face me this time!"
"Hm? Don't fear me? Sounds like the words of someone feigning bravery."
"Hardly. Like I'd fear someone with the pseudonym 'Demon Babe'."
This comment angered the boy. He also stood up with clenched fists.
"You can steal my console, but you can NEVER insult the greatest hero the world has ever seen!"
Ezra looked down at him with a confused expression and then looked back at Saneko.
"What is this, some sort of disciple?"
Saneko nodded with a sly smirk.
"Precisely. Something no ordinary hero could have."
Ezra scoffed and within a fraction of a second, he attacked the boy, sending him flying into a nearby building. The resulting explosion cause the people nearby the all scream and run for their lives. Saneko was completely shocked. She looked over at the rubble of the building with a concerned look on her face.
"I hope that building's alright."
Ezra froze in shock. He didn't mean to actually hit the boy. He was sure Saneko would have protected him, but no, she just continued standing there with her hand to her chin.
Saneko then looked back at Ezra and sighed.
"Listen. I was just playing a game. While I would love to show off how easily I could tear you to pieces, you so rudely murdered my disciple and scared off all of the passersby, so I don't have anyone to show off to. Just give me the game again."
Ezra's jaw dropped. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Saneko had absolutely no emotion in her voice saying that sentence, and this scared him. He may have been the person to attack her disciple, but she was the one to show no sign of distraught whatsoever.
"You... you really are a monster."
His face contorted in rage and he started breathing heavily.
"I'll give you this game back if you face me like the so-called hero you are."
"No. You will die, and dead people show no fear."
Ezra's rage continued to grow. He took a step closer and was practically yelling at this point.
"I WILL NOT LEAVE UNTIL YOU FACE ME!"
Saneko suddenly leaned in which shocked Ezra, causing him to take a step back. Saneko then returned to her normal stance, leaving Ezra confused.
"... What was that about?"
"I faced you. That's what you wanted right."
Ezra's rage was now palpable. He realized if Saneko wasn't going to take this seriously, he'd have to attack first. He was just about to throw a punch, but Saneko put her hand out to stop him.
"There has been enough tragedy for one day. I do not wish for another person to die. Especially in the pathetic way you will die if you attack me."
Saneko's pure cocky confidence just continued to make Ezra's blood boil. He was too lost in the idea of fighting her to even realize that she had a point. But at the same time, something was stopping him from throwing the punch. It was as if, deep down, he knew. He lowered his hand and took a deep breath before speaking once more.
"Rock paper scissors."
Saneko looked over at him with a confused expression.
"Hm?"
"Rock paper scissors. If you can beat me in rock paper scissors, I'll leave you alone for good."
"Will you give me the game back."
"FINE I'LL GIVE YOU THE DAMN GAME BACK!"
Saneko smirked and fully faced him.
"Sounds good to me."
Ezra was somewhat shocked that she agreed, but he nodded and thought to himself long and hard. He was trying to find any future in which he won. Although he didn't know about Saneko's purple eyes allowing her to read people's true intentions, he had a feeling that she could read minds in some way or another, so he began to suppress all of his thoughts, making them invisible. He was going to let fate take the wheel, as it was the only face for her to not know.
He closed his eyes and knew that this was his only chance.
"Three"
"Two"
"One"
Not a thought entered Ezra's mind. This was complete instinct, and there was no way for Saneko to predict this. Fate had to be on his side.
"SHOOT!"
They both pulled out their hands, and Ezra noticed that Saneko had shot paper. A smile grew on his face. While he didn't know what he drew, he could feel his hand shape, and he knew he drew scissors.
"I WIN!"
"Hm? Doesn't look like it from my perspective."
"Huh?"
Ezra looked down at his hand, and he had shot rock. This made no sense. He could feel his hands shaped like scissors, so how was it possible that his hands would physically not open?
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?"
"Nothing. I simply won. Now quit being a soar loser you pathetic mortal and give me that game back. It was the deal after all."
"BUT THIS ISN'T FAIR! I DREW SCISSORS! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME!"
"I did absolutely nothing."
Saneko then snapped her fingers and the game console disappeared from Ezra's left hand and appeared into Saneko's hands. She then turned around and began walking away. This left Ezra even more confused.
"Wait, if you could just teleport it to yourself, why didn't you do that from the beginning?"
Saneko turned her head slightly, but just enough for Ezra to see a devious smirk on her face.
"Fool. I always want to show off."
Saneko then continued walking off. Ezra's heart was racing and he looked back down at his hands. He could move them again, but he still didn't get what had just happened.
He was unaware of a concept known as Seed Theory. Every work needs to have a ideology based around it. There is no work without an ideology. A seed must be planted for a work to grow. The world in of itself is a work, and the ideology of Saneko's victory had been planted within it. For Saneko to lose, would be the extinction of the world and of this story.
As Saneko walked off, she was playing the game again. But she was once again distracted by the sound of giggling. She looked up from the console to see her disciple walking up to her, wiping off dust from his clothing.
"That was fun! I don't know how I survived that though."
The boy was too cheerful and giggly for the experience he had just faced. Saneko didn't know how he lived either, but she couldn't let him know that.
"Oh well, of course you lived. I protected you with my... um... barrier of... justice."
"YOU ARE SO COOL DEMON BABE!"
The truth was, when Saneko patted the boy's head earlier, her overwhelming strength was temporarily shared with him. This in fact happened every single time Saneko came in contact with anyone, however they are never in a situation where this would matter, so no one, not even she knew about it.
Saneko then looked down at the console and couldn't help but feel a slight sense of guilt. Not for lying to the boy, but for not really caring about the very real possibility that he was dead. It didn't really occur to her earlier, but she would have been playing the console of a dead child without remorse. A child who believed in her no less. This even caused her to be a bit disgusted with herself.
"Here."
She handed the console back to the boy.
"I'll play another time."
"Aww, you're leaving already?"
Saneko couldn't even bare to look at him at this point. The realization only hit her now, but it hit her hard. She realized that she needed to get some rest and not think about it for a while.
"I'll be back dear disciple. I just... have duties to attend to."
The boy looked at her as she walked away, not knowing what was on her mind.
Even a Saneko can gain a conscience twice a day... or maybe just once.
