The Cave

I've been in this {Cave} for a few weeks, and one thing is for sure—this is not a {Dungeon}. I remembered hearing about {Dungeon}s when I was still in the {Castle}. The soldiers mentioned a {Dungeon} while taking me to the execution site, and recalling that increased my [Intelligence] by 1. That's good, as I cannot increase my [Intelligence] until I get out of this {Cave}. While eating [Zombie Flesh], I noticed a difference in my build. I opened my Status to check what happened.

"What the..." I paused, then continued, "You know what, I won't even get surprised anymore by you, 'The System.' You better understand that."

I am Level 5! YAY!!! I screamed mentally. I knew my stats had upgraded, but damn, this is good. I was literally dancing. I then checked my weapons' [Durability] to see if they could still be useful. When I left the place of my first encounter, I took 4 [Katana] and 1 [Dagger] with the lowest [Agility Debuff] of [-1] and highest [Durability]. Since then, I have broken 3 [Katana], leaving only 1. Over the past few weeks, I researched as much as I could about 'The System' and how to use it. Unsurprisingly, I found out one key thing: everything has a [Level Limit]. 'Items' have different types of [Level Limits], which means there is a [Level Restriction] on [Debuff]. I checked my [Dagger] to see if the [-1 Agility Debuff] was still in effect.

As I thought, I no longer have the [Level Restriction] on the [Dagger]. Yes!! I screamed internally as I moved forward and encountered another [Zombie]. This was the 116th [Zombie] I had encountered so far. I remembered my [Zombie] encounter number as I unsheathed the [Katana] and attacked it, killing it in a single swipe. I then received a notification that my {Most Basic Swordsmanship} had leveled up to [Level 3/10]. I leveled up my Skill once again—Woo-hoo!

I took the [Zombie Flesh] and ate it. I didn't collect [Zombie Flesh] because after eating it once after my first encounter, I wasn't hungry for days. But I was hungry now, so I ate the [Zombie Flesh], and as I finished, a sudden notification popped up saying [Requirements Met]. What is it? I was shocked and clicked on it, opening my Status.

  New Skill

  •   [Partial Zombie Body]: A Skill acquired by eating nothing but [Zombie Flesh] for 3 months. It allows the 'Player' to [Heal] faster by eating [Zombie Flesh]. (Lvl 1/10)

"I've been eating this shit for 3 months?" I screamed, astonished. "And what the fuck is this Skill?"

As I processed the new [Partial Zombie Body] Skill, I noticed something I hadn't seen for what felt like a millennium but was actually 3 months—a beam of light coming from a hole in the wall. It wasn't enough to illuminate the room but enough for me to notice it. I walked towards the light source and tried to see through the small hole, catching glimpses of a {Forest}. The view had many trees, so one could assume it was a [Wild Jungle].

There was still more area to discover in this {Cave}. Should I break the stone and go into the {Forest} or explore the area further? I decided to discover the whole {Cave} before going back into the open. I traveled for a few more weeks, killed many more {Zombies}, and leveled up to the [Level Limit]. I had no [Level Restriction] anymore. I was alive for one reason—to find the exit of this {Cave}. After killing my 300th [Zombie], I stood before a massive door at the end of the {Cave}.

Is this the end? Can I finally be free? Oh My Deicide (God-Killer), I'm so happy. Tears ran down my cheeks as I approached the door. As I placed my hand on the door handle, I thought about the entire journey I'd been through to reach this point. I checked my Status one last time before opening the door.

I've come quite a way, but this is just the start of a much longer journey. My stay here has taught me one thing—I was supposed to be dead, but I survived that fall for one reason: to fulfill the [Title] given to me. I'll kill the {God} and go back home; I will become the {DEICIDE}. I thought about everything as I opened the door.
