Fuck. Was the only thing that ran through his head when he saw the door closed. He wasn't surprised by this as the base was on lock down but he hoped that the receptionists left with fear and left it open. He knew that if they did leave it open though, then they would have gotten in trouble. And if HE was dishing out the punishment, then they would have been tortured for being incompetent until they couldn't take it anymore and they kill themselves.
"Why did you stop moving?" Asks experiment 45643.
"Instead of running for lives right off the bat, someone must have closed the titanium security door." Marcus starts to feel Nona shake in fear. "But don't worry we can still get out," Marcus says in a somewhat convincing tone, trying to calm Nona down.
"OOOOh can we? And how are we going to do that?"
"If I didn't think so then you would have probably killed us and made your own way out. Am I right?” Marcus asks, trying not to sound scared from the situation they were now in.
"You're not wrong there. You probably also know that if you were flimsy with your response and tried to give off a lie that we can then I would have killed you also, right?" Droplets of sweat start to form on Marcus face and as he nods his head to answer her the beads of sweat run down his face and hit the floor which makes her pull a grin. "So how are we going to get past the door?" Experiment 45643 asks.
"Give me a second to think." Marcus replies in a tone that turns her grin into a face of anger.
"Excuse me?" She fires off in return to what he said, ready to ssh through both of them. Realising this he knew that the way he said his st sentence was wrong.
"I mean, please give me some time to think?" He says in a nicer tone, hoping that would be enough of an apology for his tone before.
Very well, but I suggest you hurry up." You don't have to remind me. He knew that shouting out to open the door was not going to work. They had no real incentive to open it. So , he carefully pced Nona on the ground and starts to search for the small fingerprint scanner that activated the escape shot which would lead them to the main entrance while crouching. After a couple of seconds of searching the scanner he found it but there was another problem as the scanner panel had a pop up message on it which read “emergency shot not avaible.” This was not good news for him and Nona. While he processed the popup message, he heard the sound of something roaring deep down below them. Don’t tell me another experiment is out. He thought to himself. Most people wouldn't have heard it with the emergency arm bring off every three seconds but because he had tuned out the sound of the arm he did. Maybe I'm hearing things. But he was wrong on that statement as he heard another loud roar from deep below but this time it sounded slightly closer.
"Times up. So how are we going to get past?" Experiment 45643 asks, about to strike if he didn't have a solution. Marcus then stands up and asks.
"The thing you did before with the hair pain to escape. Can you do it again? Or Was that just by chance? If it wasn't" -pulls out ball point pen- "then I want you to strengthen, change its shape and sharpen this ball point pen?"
"It's not impossible to do so. But do you really think I'm just gonna do something like that and not expect you to cut me down with it right after?" He knew what she was saying. Giving him something as sharp as a good quality sword would be very stupid in a situation like this where he is the hostage.
"I'm not pnning to use it against you. If you are that worried, then I'll say this. I don't need it to be sharp to the point that it can cut through flesh. I just need it to be sharp enough to cut through this wall here." He taps the wall to his right with the back of his hand twice. "Once I get through the wall I can override the door so that it opens. Then the rest is up to you as you will have to kill the people on the other side."
"M-Marcus,” says Nona, terrified that he was able to suggest having experiment 45643 kill the guards without any hesitation.
"I'm surprised you're willing to let me kill more of your friends and comrades so that we can get out,” experiment 45643 says.
" I don't really have a choice do I? They might have been my friends or comrades but, in a situation like this the only one that I really care for is her. He turns his head to look at her for a second before looking back at experiment 45643. “If other people have to die so that we can live then I don't mind," as soon as Marcus says this, experiment 45643 chuckles and says.
"Very well." She then takes the metal ballpoint pen from him and holds it from the bottom. She closes her eyes, takes a deep breath and says. "La skcr zee skcr zee ta morph skcrpen tor skcrscissors." Neither Marcus nor Nona had no clue what she said. Not because she said it too quickly so that they couldn't understand. But because what she had said was different to any nguage they had ever heard of. Still, the words that did leave her mouth came out smoothly and with precision like she had been practising those words for decades.
As soon as she uttered what appeared to be a spell, a strange thing happened. The pen in her hand began to glow magenta and then started to melt, taking on the shape of a small ball hovering an inch above her right palm. *Scoom* Was the sound of the pen gradually transforming into a pair of scissors. Experiment then opens up her eyes and says. “It’s done.” She then extends her hand, offering the newly formed scissors to Marcus. He tries to take them from her but she hesitates to let go. She looks at him with suspicion and asks. “ You’re definitely not pnning on stabbing me with these, are you?”
"Of course not. Like I said, I'm only going to cut through the wall so that I can open the doors." She lets go of the scissors. "Plus I don't have the courage to use them on you without messing up," Marcus says as he walks over to the wall near the door. Before he starts to use them he takes a small gnce at the scissors and he can see that they are very sharp. Definitely sharp enough to cut through the wall and even piece someone's neck without any effort. "I guess I better stop stalling before I make her think I pn on using them on her." He thought to himself as he opened them up and ever so slightly pushed the bde into the wall. Without any problem the bde went right through, to him it felt like he was cutting through something soft. He didn't even need to snip away, all he did was drag the outside bde up, left to right, down and then right to left to make a six by six-centimetre square.
He then slips the scissors into his pocket carefully trying to not cut himself and pulls out the square. It was quite heavy but he had no choice and just bare with it. He pced the square on the floor and he saw four thick wires sticking out in a line. All four of them were blue but behind those wires he saw another three wires that were bck and, in the shape of a capital U, and connected to a matte bck box that had four glowing green lights on it. The blue wires were the ones which controlled the door but the bck ones were also important. The reason for this was because the bck wires acted as a deadlock. So if he cut the blue wires then the dead lock feature would be activated and they wouldn't be able to open the door no matter what.Seeing him just look at the wires made experiment 45643 feel like he had no clue what he was actually looking at. "Are you sure you know what you're doing?" She asks.
Yeah I do" -He pulls out the scissors from his pocket- "I used to be one of the few people who would do maintenance for this building on the side. It's just been some time since I have done it. Just get ready to fight back once the door opens up." Marcus says. She wasn't too confident in his response to his question but she didn't really have any better ideas so she waited for him to get the door open. After a moment of hesitation, Marcus takes a small breath and begins to work on the wires. He reaches behind the blue wires and carefully pulls out all three bck wires from where they were connected to the matte bck box. With a steady hand he grabs the first wire and pces it into the slot where the third wire was previously connected. Then, he takes the third wire and pces it into where the second wire was previously connected. As he finishes his work, the sound of the second wire sparking out small bursts of electricity fills the air with a distinct *zzzt zzzt zzzt*. The metallic-like beep that follows is the sound of the first light changing from green to a light blue.
"What's going on?" Asks one of the guards who were on the other side of the door.
"N-N-Not possible the door. It's opening," says another guard as he shakes in fear while he loads his gun getting ready to fire.
"Come in, Come in! The door has been opened. We need reinforcements right now!" A different guard shouts into his radio.
Hearing the sound of the guards taking their guns off safety on the other side of the door, Marcus drops to the floor, and closes his eyes before the bullets start firing in their direction. The sound of bullets being fired sounded like lightning bolts crashing their way. Both Marcus and Nona were scared that they would be hit by one of the bullets but Experiment 45643 wasn't. To her the bullets were going in slow motion. "La skcr zee skcr zee ta beam skcrshield" Once she says a another spell, her eyes glow magenta and the first round of bullets stop a inch from hitting her. Bullet after bullet kept being fired off until two of the three guards had empty three entire clips at her.
