Chapter 63: Breaking Out of the Cocoon (1)
"Boom, boom." A heartbeat-like sound spread out in all directions from the center of the silver cocoon, a massive and muffled noise.
Ling Fei and Xiao Lan gazed warily at the giant cocoon, their eyes following its movements as it jumped about. The silver light spots around Xiao Lan slowly took aim at the cocoon, she had made up her mind that if this fusion of heaven and earth failed, she would rather destroy the fusion to save Chu Feng. Such a powerful ability user, Xiao Lan did not want to see him die prematurely.
"Be careful, it's about to break." Ling Fei timely reminded Xiao Lan to come back to her senses, and at the same time picked up a stone from the ground with his hand. Xiao Lan looked at the stone in his hand in confusion.
"What are you doing?"
Ling Fei flipped over the stone, shrugged his shoulders; "No way, the dagger doesn't know where it went, even if there is one, I won't be able to carry two daggers with me, holding a stone is more reassuring."
Ling Fei's words made Xiao Yan feel a little amused and annoyed at the same time, but they clearly alleviated the oppressive atmosphere.
Just as the two were talking, the cocoon underwent another transformation.
The silver giant cocoon began to rotate at super high speed, stirring up waves of fierce cyclones. The violent cyclones were almost visible to the naked eye, but they condensed and did not disperse around the giant cocoon, like threads of white silk.
Suddenly, a gust of wind lost control and swept towards Xiaolan fiercely.
Ling Fei shifted his foot and stood in front of Xiao Yan, then with a flick of his wrist, he sent the stone flying out like a sharp blade, cutting through the whirlwind and splitting it in two. The gust of wind blew past the two men, sweeping up even the grass and dirt as it went.
After blowing out this strong whirlwind, the rotation speed of the giant cocoon obviously slowed down.
"Thanks, boss." Xiao Lan looked at the two swaths of grass blown up by the whirlwind behind her and knew that Ling Fei had done it to protect her. Although it was a necessary courtesy, Xiao Lan still said a thank you.
Ling Fei gently waved his hand and continued to stare at the giant cocoon.
"Chu Feng, you rascal..." He muttered to himself, shaking his head with a bitter smile. At first, he became a teacher just for fun, and also because life was quite dull and uninteresting.
But how could he have foreseen this scene today?
"Boss, it's cracked open!" Ling Fei looked up at the sudden cry from Xiao Yan, and saw that the giant cocoon had clearly split open a seam in its center, which was rapidly expanding, growing bigger and bigger.
A loud "crack" sounded, and the entire giant cocoon suddenly burst open, then quickly shrunk, transforming into a smaller pure white light sphere. The light sphere flashed and floated in mid-air, slowly falling towards the ground.
When they reached the ground, the light dissipated, revealing Chu Feng inside. At this moment, Chu Feng had a head full of silver hair and his eyes were tightly closed, standing there quietly, but his feet were floating in mid-air.
"Hey, this kid looks more handsome now." Ling Fei let out a sigh of relief after seeing Chu Feng, and then became unscrupulous again.
No sooner had the words left his lips than Chu Feng suddenly fell backwards as if he had fainted, and Ling Fei hastily rushed over to grab hold of his pants, pulling him back up. Just as he had wrapped his arms around Chu Feng, that head of silver hair slowly transformed into a white, fine, glowing mist that flew towards the sky, gradually dispersing, leaving behind a head of black hair.
At this moment, Chu Feng had fallen into a coma. Looking at the unconscious Chu Feng, Ling Fei couldn't help but shake his head and sigh. This was how many times he had sighed today, he had lost count.
"Xiao Lan... I... I still can't go home, this kid, can she rest at your place first?" Ling Fei turned his head to look at Xiao Lan who was standing behind him. He had originally planned to send Chu Feng back home, but then remembered the two annoying women at home, so he asked Xiao Lan instead.
Xiao Lan was staring at Chu Feng, but when Ling Fei asked her this, she quickly withdrew her gaze, nervously smiled and covered up her own awkwardness.
"Okay, of course... but, boss, Xiao Ya she..." Xiaolan's hands were clasped together and placed on her abdomen, twirling her fingers, suddenly remembering Lingya, and couldn't help but look at Ling Fei.
Ling Fei waved his hand indifferently; "I also can't hide from her for the rest of my life, it's better to meet early on, good for me and good for her." After saying that, Ling Fei pulled Chu Feng's body over, turning around to carry him on his back.
"Let's go."
……
In a luxurious mansion in Shanghai, an old man with a kind smile on his face is watching a young girl manipulating a series of books and some scattered objects floating up.
"Also gentle, how is it? Can you find that feeling?" The old man stroked his long white beard on his chin, picked up the dark brown tea cup placed beside him, took a light sip, smiled all over his face, and said to the girl.
"Grandfather, what is this feeling you're talking about? Why... why can't I grasp it?" The girl heard this and gently released the mental energy entwined with the books and miscellaneous objects. Those objects she had been controlling slowly fell to the ground, piling up together.
The old man smiled kindly and beckoned to the girl with his hand; "Come over."
The girl's eyes full of spirit blinked, and her lovely face was written with two words "don't understand", but she still walked to the old man's side and softly called out "Grandpa".
"Also gentle, you still can't calm that heart of yours, so you can't find that feeling." The old man held the teacup in his hand and dipped his finger into the tea water, causing the calm tea water to ripple. He looked at the girl and pointed to the tea water in the cup.
"This is your heart." As soon as the old man finished speaking, his wrist shook and the tea water stopped instantly. The intense discomfort to her senses made the girl rub her eyes.
"This is my grandfather's heart, only when you can receive and send freely, like still water, can you feel the door of evolution." As soon as he finished speaking, the old man's eyes, which had been narrowed all along, suddenly opened wide, his face shocked, stood up, and his hand holding the teacup trembled uncontrollably. This sudden change left the girl bewildered.
"Grandpa, what's wrong?" The girl asked in a soft voice, but was stopped by the old man with his eyes and immediately lowered her head without speaking again.
"Heaven and earth are merging, how is this possible?" The old man muttered to himself, then shook his head; "This feeling can't be wrong, it's... it's the fusion of heaven and earth, I never thought... I never thought that in my lifetime I would see the fusion of heaven and earth again..." With an excited mutter, the old man put down his tea cup and walked out of the study.
The girl saw the old man come out of the study, cast her eyes on the desk, glanced at the tea water on the table, and pointed to her chin with her finger; "heart..."
……
"Old Zhao, did you feel it? The heavens and earth are merging, haha." The old man walked out of the study and headed downstairs, picked up the phone on the dining table, dialed a number, and exclaimed excitedly.
The person on the other end of the phone was apparently silent, and after the old man smiled a few times, he found that the other party didn't speak, and coughed awkwardly; "Old Zhao, what's wrong?"
"How old are you now, yet you still act like a child. What you call 'cultivating the mind' is just nonsense." A low, hoarse voice finally came from the phone, with obvious disdain in his words.
The old man's face turned red with shame, thinking that he had just scolded his granddaughter for not having a calm mind like still water, but now he himself was in such a state. Even if the old man's face was thick-skinned, he would feel ashamed.
"Aren't you surprised? I've lived for so long and only seen that madman forcibly open the Heaven and Earth Fusion once, and it was incomplete at that. Yet, he created a madman who could rival the Ability Alliance and his organization. The feeling of this Heaven and Earth Fusion just now was much purer than his. It should be a natural opportunity. What does this imply? This implies that the next Ability King is about to appear. I think your alliance won't let such a thing go unmanaged, right?"
The old man seemed to have lost face and was desperately trying to regain some advantage in language.
As expected, the person on the other end of the phone seemed to be awakened by the old man's words and fell silent.
"What's wrong? Did I say you went too far in your heart? You kid, everything is fine, it's just that you're too loyal to that bird alliance. Have you ever thought about what they gave you that's worth doing this?" The old man seemed to sense the worry of the person on the other end of the phone and scolded a few words.
The person on the other end of the phone said, "Xiao Lao Tou, don't think that just because you left the Alliance, you're not a part of it anymore. If you keep talking like this, don't blame me for turning against you and burning down your house with my men!"
The old man burst out laughing; "You? I can mess you up from thousands of miles away!"
As soon as they finished speaking, the two old men laughed in unison with great tacit understanding.
