Chapter 4: New Discoveries

After school, Cayde rushed to the Quantum Creativity Center. It was their favorite after-school activity – a place where young Xyrillians could create art using their minds and advanced technology.

Cayde put on a special headband that read their thoughts. In front of them, a huge holographic display flickered to life.

"What shall we create today, Cayde?" asked the Center's AI.

Cayde closed their eyes and imagined Earth – its blue oceans, green forests, and busy cities. In the holographic space, their thoughts came to life. A miniature Earth appeared, spinning slowly.

"Wonderful!" the AI praised. "Now, let's add some details."

For the next hour, Cayde added clouds, animals, and even tiny moving cars to their Earth model. When they finished, the hologram looked so real Cayde felt like they could step right into it.

On the way home, Cayde couldn't stop thinking about the Earth laptop they'd be getting tomorrow. What would they discover on it?

The next day, Cayde could hardly sit still during classes. As soon as school ended, they raced to the museum where Dr. Lyra worked.

"Ready to pick out your Earth artifact?" Dr. Lyra asked when Cayde arrived, slightly out of breath.

Cayde nodded eagerly. Dr. Lyra led them to a room filled with Earth technology. There were rows of devices, each labeled with its function and the time period it came from.

"Remember," Dr. Lyra said, "this is for your school project. You can keep it for a while, but be careful with it. It's a valuable piece of Earth history."

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

Cayde chose a sleek laptop from the early 21st century. It felt strange in their hands – so solid compared to Xyrillian tech.

At home, Cayde could barely contain their excitement as they opened the laptop. The screen lit up, showing an unfamiliar system called "Windows."

Cayde spent hours exploring the laptop, marveling at how different it was from Xyrillian computers. They found all sorts of interesting files and programs, each offering a glimpse into the life of an Earth teenager.

As they were about to close the laptop, Cayde noticed a small, strange device attached to its side. It looked like a tiny silver cube, barely larger than their fingertip.

"I wonder what this does," Cayde murmured, gently touching the cube.

Suddenly, the laptop made a soft pinging sound. A notification popped up on the screen: "Connected to Earth Internet."

Cayde's eyes widened in surprise and delight. Could it be? Had Dr. Lyra accidentally sent an internet adapter with the laptop?

Excited by this unexpected development, Cayde opened the laptop's web browser. To their amazement, it loaded an Earth website. They were actually connected to the human internet!

Curious, Cayde typed "aliens" into the search bar. Among the results, one link stood out: "Cosmic Connections Forum - Discuss Alien Life and UFOs!"

Cayde clicked on it, and a colorful page loaded, filled with discussions about aliens, UFOs, and life on other planets. Their hearts raced with excitement. These humans were talking about beings like them!

Cayde scrolled through the forum, reading posts with titles like "Have Aliens Visited Earth?" and "What Would First Contact Be Like?"

One username caught Cayde's eye: StarGazer101. This user had posted a thoughtful message about the possibility of alien civilizations being more advanced than humans.

Cayde's finger hovered over the "Reply" button. Could they really join in this conversation? What would they say to these humans who were so curious about alien life?

Taking a deep breath, Cayde clicked "Reply" and began to type...

"Hi StarGazer101! I'm new here. Your ideas about alien civilizations are really interesting. What made you think of that?"

Cayde hesitated for a moment, then hit "Send." Their hearts pounded as they waited, wondering if StarGazer101 would respond. Little did they know, this simple message was the beginning of an extraordinary friendship that would change two worlds forever.
