Chapter 1: My First Day of School and the Legendary Doodle Incident1. The Pn for a Peaceful LifeA peaceful high school life—that’s all I ever wanted.
No drama. No challenges. No weird, life-changing events. Just a quiet, rexing existence where I could drift through my days like a background character in some over-the-top anime. That was my dream. That was my pn.
And yet…
Why was the entire cssroom staring at me as if I had just performed some world-shattering miracle?
Wait, let’s rewind a bit. Let me start from the beginning.
2. The School That Shouldn't Have Accepted MeThe story truly begins this morning, as I stood in front of the prestigious Elite Arcadia Academy, a school reserved for the absolute best of the best. The children of billionaires, child prodigies who could recite quantum physics in their sleep, and mysterious transfer students with dangerous auras—all of them were gathered here.
And then… there was me.
Yuuji Kisaragi.
An average 16-year-old with no outstanding talents, no secret past, and absolutely no desire to be here.
The problem? Thanks to some clerical mistake, I somehow got accepted into this school of monsters. I had no idea how, and honestly, I didn't want to find out.
But here I was, standing at the school gates, gripping my backpack like it contained my st ounce of sanity.
“Alright, Yuuji,” I muttered to myself. “The goal is simple. Don’t stand out. Blend into the background. Avoid trouble. No matter what happens, never let anyone think you’re special.”
With that in mind, I took my first step into Elite Arcadia Academy, completely unaware that I would fail spectacurly before the day even ended.
3. The Cssroom of MonstersWhen I entered Css 1-S, I immediately knew something was off.
The moment I stepped inside, every single student turned to look at me.
It wasn’t the normal, curious gnce new students get. It was intense, like they were analyzing my every move. As if I was some mysterious final boss they hadn’t expected to encounter so soon.
I gulped. Did I step into the wrong cssroom?
But no, this was definitely 1-S, the special css reserved for monsters among monsters.
A girl with silver hair and a piercing gaze, sitting near the window, adjusted her gsses and whispered, “...Untraceable movements. He walked in without a sound. Is he trained in assassination?”
A boy with spiky red hair and a cocky grin smirked. “Hah. This guy’s got the aura of a seasoned warrior. Interesting.”
Another student, a timid-looking girl with a ptop, gasped. “I-I ran a facial recognition search, but… there’s no data on him?!”
At that moment, I realized something terrifying.
These guys… were insane.
I had done nothing—literally nothing—and they were already coming up with wild theories about me!
But the worst was yet to come.
4. The Doodle That Changed EverythingAs css began, I made sure to stay as unremarkable as possible. I didn’t raise my hand. I didn’t answer questions. I didn’t even make eye contact with the teacher.
I was doing everything right.
But then… math happened.
The teacher, an elderly man with a stern expression, wrote a ridiculously complicated equation on the board. Something about multi-variable calculus and imaginary numbers—I had no clue.
“Can anyone solve this?” he asked.
Of course, the entire css immediately erupted into chaos.
One student was already scribbling formus at the speed of light. Another was murmuring about alternative theories of mathematics. Even the girl with the ptop was hacking into some kind of advanced AI program to get an answer.
Meanwhile, I?
I was bored out of my mind.
Math wasn’t my thing, and honestly, I was struggling to stay awake.
So, without thinking, I did what I always did when I was bored.
I doodled.
Just some random swirls and nonsense shapes. Nothing fancy. Just enough to keep my brain occupied.
But then… it happened.
The teacher, for some reason, gnced at my paper.
And then—
His eyes widened in pure shock.
Silence fell over the room.
The entire css turned to look at me.
My heart stopped.
“…This… this is…” The teacher’s hands trembled as he held up my notebook for everyone to see. “This… is genius!”
Wait. What.
I blinked. Genius? What was he talking about? I just doodled some random nonsense!
The silver-haired girl adjusted her gsses. “That structure… It’s a revolutionary new form of mathematical notation! He must have discovered a new theorem on accident!”
The spiky-haired guy clenched his fists. “Tch. This guy’s a monster…! Acting like he’s bored while solving an equation that defies human understanding? What is he?!”
Even the timid ptop girl was losing her mind. “H-he casually wrote down a theory that could change the entire field of mathematics?! I… I have to record this!”
WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT?! IT’S JUST A DOODLE!
But no matter how much I screamed internally, it was too te.
At that moment, I realized…
I had completely, utterly failed at being a background character.
5. The Nightmare BeginsBy lunchtime, the rumors had already spread across the entire school.
“Did you hear? A first-year student casually solved an impossible math problem!”“No, no, I heard he’s actually an undercover genius pretending to be normal!”“I bet he’s secretly a master strategist, waiting for the right moment to reveal his true power…”And so on.
I was now officially “The Mysterious Genius of Css 1-S”.
I sat alone in the cafeteria, holding my head in my hands.
“…I just wanted a peaceful school life…” I whispered.
But deep down, I knew.
This was only the beginning.
