Eiffel Tower: Nightfall

Charlie and I got to the bottom of the tower and looked around the park in the night. Suddenly, I saw a glow coming from behind the trees in the park. Charlie went back inside of the car.

“Wait.” I said as I started to walk towards it. It was Nova and he sat on the grass next to the tree. He glowed like a firefly in the darkness.

  “Martin,” says Nova.

  “Where were you?”

“What do you mean?” he asks.

“What do you mean? They took Leah.” I said.

  “They took her?” asks Nova.

“I called on you for your power, but you dropped silent.” I yelled. “What’s with you?”

“I can’t trust you. I ask you to be a guardian for Leah and you oppose me. Deep down, you wished I wasn’t inside of your body, You also just see me as some power gaining mechanism.” he said. I was shocked, he can read my thoughts?

“You are right.” I said. “I don’t want you to be in my head because so far all you’ve done was lecture me. But, right now, Leah is captured and I need your power fast.”

“Fast?” he asked. “I wait years to finally be free, just to be in the body of some kid who doesn’t want me in their body.”

  I stood there and listened.

“It’s more than that Martin, I miss my master, Lucien. The bond that we had was inseparable and the strongest of any of the EIT spirits, almost like brothers. It’s probably why I never went rogue like my brothers.” he said. He came over to me and his eyes glowed bright yellow as his forehead touched mine and I began to see all of his memories.
