Chapter 2 The First Encounter!
Today's weather is very sultry, with a light rain in the morning and the sun raising the temperature to its highest at noon, making Zhang Ziheng's mood also become irritable. Today, he went to two companies for interviews, but neither of them had ideal results.
At this time, he was holding a bread in one hand and a bottle of mineral water in the other, sitting by the side of the road eating his lunch bit by bit. Thinking that since coming to B city for more than a month, there hadn't been a single smooth day, it seemed like heaven was intentionally going against him.
Put down the mineral water in hand, picked up the newspaper beside and took a look, there are still three companies to go, but should not have much hope.
The weather in City B is really changeable, and before two minutes are up, the sun in the sky is once again covered by dark clouds, and it starts raining again. Cursing his bad luck, Zhang Ziheng grabs his resume and runs into a nearby shopping mall to take shelter from the rain.
The first floor of the mall was a large supermarket. As the rain grew heavier, showing no signs of letting up, Zhang Ziheng decided to go buy an umbrella after all. Just as he was about to enter, someone suddenly rushed out from inside and collided with Zhang Ziheng's shoulder, almost knocking him over. However, that person didn't seem to care and, having altered her original course by colliding with Zhang Ziheng, went on to bump into an elderly woman standing nearby.
The old man was no match for Zhang Ziheng, and with a cry of surprise, the old lady fell to the ground.
"Sorry, it was not intentional." The girl who bumped into him said without turning her head and was about to run away. But she couldn't escape, her arm was suddenly grabbed by someone and pulled back forcefully.
The girl was startled and inexplicably turned her head back, suddenly stunned. "You... how are you again?"
Looking at the girl in front of him, Zhang Ziheng was slightly stunned for a moment, and then thought that she was the girl who had escaped from the restaurant a few nights ago.
"It's me, what's it to you? You knock someone down and think you can just run away like that?"
"I've already apologized, what more do you want?" the girl said impatiently. "On the contrary, I didn't look for you but you came to me instead, and I still haven't settled accounts with you over last time's matter."
Because of their loud noise, many onlookers gathered around, even the mall security guards came over to ask what was happening. Upon learning that it was the girl's fault, the security guard also came forward to mediate: "Okay okay, you two stop arguing. Miss, since you bumped into someone and made them fall, it's your fault. You should help them up and apologize."
"Yes indeed, it's always been this way." The onlookers around also chimed in.
But the girl not only didn't apologize immediately, but instead became even more furious, shouting angrily: "What's it to you? On a rainy day like today, what are you doing coming here to watch the commotion?" Then, pointing at Zhang Ziheng's nose, she yelled loudly: "And you, what grudge do I have against you, why do you keep picking on me time and time again?"
"I'm not arguing with you, this matter was originally your fault, what right do you have to speak so loudly?" Zhang Ziheng said with a straight face and a strong tone.
At this time, the old lady had been helped up by someone at some point and was watching the two of them arguing. She hurried over to say: "Alright, alright, young man, I'm fine. People get old and useless. Miss, it's okay, you can go, I don't blame you."
The girl glared at Zhang Ziheng fiercely, turned to leave, but was immediately pulled back. "You can't go, you have to apologize."
"I'm telling you, are you done yet? Nobody else is blaming me, what right do you have to not let me go?" The girl said as she forcefully pushed Zhang Ziheng.
"You... you're really unreasonable, it's simply inexplicable. By the way, when you came out just now, you bumped into me and you haven't apologized yet." Zhang Ziheng said with a frown.
The girl sneered and glanced at Zhang Ziheng, saying: "Apologize to you? Dream on, next life. Move aside, I have an urgent matter, don't block my way." The girl said and was about to leave again.
Zhang Ziheng hastily stood in front of her and then said to the mall security guard, "This girl used to skip out on bills at restaurants. Just now she ran out looking flustered, it's very possible that she stole something from inside. You'd best investigate thoroughly."
After Zhang Ziheng said that, the security guard immediately became vigilant and stepped forward, saying: "Miss, you can't leave, please cooperate with our work."
The girl was also enraged by Zhang Ziheng's words and shouted loudly at him: "What's wrong with you? Who stole something? Which eye did you see me stealing something with? You security guards are the same, he says something and you believe it? I said he stole something, why didn't you catch him?"
"Even if she didn't steal, the security guard wouldn't believe her. 'Miss, please cooperate with our work, otherwise we'll have to call the police.' The others dispersed, there's nothing good to see."
"What's wrong with you? I said, I didn't steal anything, and I really have an emergency, don't block me." The girl didn't care what the security guard said, she insisted on rushing out.
Watching the girl get punished again, Zhang Ziheng felt quite happy in his heart. He just couldn't stand those who thought they were superior and didn't take others seriously. He raised his hand to look at his watch and only then realized he was going to be late for the interview. This sudden event had caused him not to even buy an umbrella, shaking his head, using a newspaper to cover himself, he rushed towards the bus station.
The girl's eyes were wide with anger, staring at Zhang Ziheng's back as he walked away. She shouted loudly: "You just wait, this isn't over yet! I'll get my revenge one day!"
When Zhang Ziheng arrived at the interview company, he had been drenched and turned into a drowned rat. He had no choice but to go to the bathroom first to dry his clothes a bit. However, even so, he still looked very disheveled.
Things went as Zhang Ziheng had expected. When the interviewer saw him, he couldn't help but frown and didn't even look at his resume, saying "you can go back and wait for a message".
It's like this, Zhang Ziheng felt very resentful in his heart. Today's encounter was simply too unlucky. This made him ask in a huff: "You didn't even look at my resume and told me to go back and wait, may I ask how long do I have to wait?"
The interviewer couldn't help but chuckle and looked at Zhang Ziheng, saying: "You look like you're not a rookie in interviews, how can you not even understand this? Since that's the case, I'll just tell you directly, you didn't get accepted, go home."
"Why? Can't you even take a look at my resume? You haven't even looked at it, you..."
"I'm telling you, you're really stubborn. Let me tell you, our company, Feiyu, is a big deal in the advertising world. Take a look at yourself, you're all wet and your clothes are all wrinkled. How can someone like you work for our company? Listen up, kid, next time you come for an interview, at least wear some decent clothes, got it? Next!"
Zhang Ziheng wanted to say something, but he knew that even if he said it loudly, it would be useless, so he left with a huff. Perhaps because he wasn't accepted, his mood was terrible and he walked with his head hung low. Unnoticed, he bumped into someone who happened to be passing by.
"Ah, sorry, I didn't mean to." Zhang Ziheng hastily apologized, realizing he had bumped into a girl holding a large stack of files.
Because there were too many documents, the girl didn't see Zhang Ziheng either. "It's okay, I wasn't paying attention to the road either."
Zhang Ziheng helped the girl pick up the documents and saw that she was having a hard time holding so many, so he said: "So many documents, I'll help you."
"Really? Thank you so much!" The girl said happily. "Hey, I've never seen you before. Are you new here?" She asked while walking with him.
Zhang Ziheng shook his head and smiled: "No, I came for an interview, but was rejected."
"Oh, is that right?"
"It doesn't matter."
The two of them arrived in front of an office, and the girl placed the documents on the desk next to the office. It turned out she was a secretary, Zhang Ziheng thought to himself.
At this time, a woman walked out of the office and saw the girl asking: "Ziwen, where is that survey report sent from the United States?"
The girl hurriedly searched through the files, and after half a day, she pointed to Zhang Ziheng's arms and said, "It seems to be with you, let me take a look."
"Ah? Oh." Zhang Ziheng was stunned for a moment before he came to his senses, realizing that he had been captivated by the woman who had just walked out of the office. Her elegant and beautiful appearance, combined with the mature beauty revealed in her eyebrows and eyes, deeply attracted Zhang Ziheng's gaze. Her white professional attire showcased a unique feminine beauty.
She glanced up at the sign on the door, "General Manager's Office". To become a general manager at such a young age was truly impressive. How old could she be? Twenty-two? Twenty-three? Definitely not over twenty-five, that was Zhang Ziheng's judgment.
The beautiful woman looked at Zhang Ziheng with a puzzled expression, just about to speak, when she was interrupted by Ziwen. "President Xu, this is the file you wanted." Seeing that Zhang Ziheng was still staring foolishly at the general manager, Ziwen hurriedly nudged him gently.
Knowing he had been rude, Zhang Ziheng's face turned bright red, and he wished he could find a crack in the ground to crawl into. He was just a shy person. "Sorry, sorry, that... I'll go first." After saying that, Zhang Ziheng left without looking back, it was really too embarrassing.
"Who is he? I've never seen him before?" asked Director Xu.
"Oh, him? He said he was here for an interview, unfortunately didn't get accepted. Just now I accidentally knocked over my files and he helped me pick them up." Ziwen smiled. "Director Xu, did you see that just now? He looked at you until his face turned red, haha, so funny!"
"Alright, stop smiling and get back to work." Xu said as she took the file back to her office, but her mind was still on that blushing boy.
For a woman like Director Xu, seeing men who can't move on from her is nothing new. However, the man from earlier was different. His eyes were so clear and pure, without any hint of vulgarity, as if he was admiring a beautiful object. Moreover, what's most important is that he actually blushed. This was Director Xu's first time encountering someone like this, which couldn't help but add to her interest.
