Steps into richness

"Then let's keep going deeper" Father replies.

  "Okay," I respond, still tired.

*We walk for another 10 minutes and begin to notice larger buildings built by the monster.*

"Could this be where they all sleep?" I ask, looking inside a huge structure with multiple floors and closely packed beds.

  "I think so," Father answers.

"Should we look for any loot here too?" I ask Father.

"I don't think we'll find anything in a common monster's sleeping area," Father replies as he starts to leave.

"I think you're right, Dad," I say as I follow him out.

"Which way should we go now?" Father asks, after exiting the building.

"I don't kn-" I start to answer but was interrupted.

  **[Ding]**

"What happened? Why did you stop talking?" Father asks, turning around.

Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.

"Uhh, Christine just messaged me," I tell my father as I type a response.

"What did she say?" Father asks, coming towards me.

"She's telling us to go left," I say, waiting for Christine's reply.

  "Why?" Father asks.

"I don't know. I already asked her though," I reply.

  **[Ding]**

"Did she reply? What did she say?" Father asks.

"She's saying that the throne room is on the left side. Apparently, it's where the loot is located," I inform my father after reading Christine's text.

"Throne room?" Father questions. With a smile on his face, he exclaims, "There must be valuable loot there. Let's head to the left."

"Okay," I answer after confirming with Christine and closing the message window.

*We continue toward the throne room and reach it after 5 minutes of walking.*

"Is that the throne room?" Father asks, pointing to a massive stone structure built by the monsters.

"Seems like it, Dad," I reply. "It's the only building made of stone."

"What a huge door," Father remarks in awe as he places his hand on the massive iron entrance. "Help me push it open," he instructs.

"Okay," I affirm, placing both hands on the door and positioning myself to push it open.

"3.... 2... 1.. push," father's voice echoes as we both try to push the iron door open.

  **Squeak**

  **Squeaking**

After much pushing and using all our strength, the door finally opens slightly.

"Ah-ah... Dad.. the door... Opened... A little..., should... We just... Attempt to ... Squeeze through the.... Gap... Or... Widen it?" I say, catching my breath.

"I.. doubt... We can widen.... the door further, let's simply... Try to ... Slide through the.... Gap," father responds wearily.

After a short rest, we try to slip through the gap and barely reach the other side.

"We are now in the throne room," I comment. "Let's search for valuables."

"Look there" father points to the throne.

"Where, father?" I ask. "That's just the throne," I add.

"Not the throne," Father corrects, still pointing above it. "Look up there," he instructs.

Looking closely, I see something hanging on the wall above the throne.

  "Are those weapons?" I ask.

  "Yes," father confirms eagerly.

"Wait, can we sell these too? Like the others?" I ask, amazed.

"I'm not sure, but if possible, we'll be rich" father replies, heading towards the throne. "Come with me, Khush," he beckons.

  "Of course, father," I agree.

As we make our way to the throne, we realize that we need to climb stairs nearly 3 to 4 feet tall to reach it. We were so focused on the weapons that we overlooked these large steps.

Nevertheless, after a concerted effort, we manage to ascend and reach the throne.
