Chapter 7 - Choosing A Class! Part-2

  {5 mins later}

Léonce, or Leo, apparently his friends call him that. He was an interesting character, he was from Lyon a city in France graduated at the top of his class. The way his friends rolled their eyes was for sure an indication that he wasn't bragging...at all.

In 5 minutes Lukas had listened to his entire backstory as he kept talking about his problems, Lukas tried to be understanding as he nodded but it was getting a bit too much. He had to put an end to this fuss soon...

"Did you guys check out all the shops," Lukas asked, he wanted to see what kind of rewards they were getting if he wanted to plan ahead?

"I mean we can't really do much right now, all of us were in the top 10,000 so we get just 2 copper per day. We each bought one power bar and collectively now we only have 3 copper which is not even enough to buy one basic sword. We have to wait till tomorrow to get some gear so that we can go out and get some levels." Leo answered. Like always he kept on chattering but Lukas listened this time as he gave out several pieces of good info.

'They get 2 copper per day then,' Lukas looked above at their level and each of them was level 2.

'I'm guessing the reward for levels 1-5 was in copper and after that, it was in silver... then what about if someone was smart enough to keep one member of their team out of the gates, buy him stuff and outfit him with the gear so that he could level up and then he should enter the city. Then the reward would be in Gold...' Lukas thought and then he sighed.

This was a little troublesome, and the reward that others were getting was a little disappointing. He was looking forward to this mass of people adventuring out after they were outfitted with weapons and armor. He could sneak in a few kills and buff up his stats and the people would start collecting TP which was the main point.

He looked at the amount of TP he had collected till now and sighed. He thought about the stats of his dagger and set his final goal to 1,000,000 TP.

'That seems like a fair price...' He thought and then looked at Leo who was still chattering about the game, "-ven know that the inventory was a thing, our group only found out about it after we arrived here and listened to the gossip. Speaking of gossip-"

Lukas was pretty sure it was one of Leo's friends, Ernest who slapped his forehead audibly enough that Leo looked over curiously to check. While Leo turned around to look Lukas quickly flashed a thumbs up and a smile to Ernest in appreciation.

"Alright, guys look I gotta go and check out the nexus hub that the tutorial mentioned, stay safe out there." Lukas smiled as he waved at the group of four.

"Bye Lukas, listen if you wanna team up later hit us up okay..." Leo's voice came from behind as Lukas waved his hands above his head as he walked away.

'Let's just stay away from that group, I wonder If I could get some skill to hide myself if I want to sneak around him.' Lukas thought as he grumbled about the speed at which Leo talked.

'Are there even enough words in the... huh! what's happening there?' Lukas was cursing Leo when his attention was focused on a commotion that was happening in front. It was a blurry-looking man who was holding a fireball in his hands as he juggled it in his palms.

A blue name was floating above the blond man as he smiled proudly at his display. The Fireball was like a beacon, it attracted the whole crowd who stared amazed at the man's display. Lukas looked at the guy for a moment and then stared at the building behind him.

'His name isn't red so he must have encountered some other species that he killed. Speaking of which why can I only see humans in the village, surely the goblins I killed their end path should be here as well.' Lukas thought and another thought struck him, the possibility that the blond mage might be hiding firearms in his inventory was high so Lukas wasn't going to target him. His attention thus shifted to the building behind him.

It was shaped like a courthouse with pillars in front made of white marble, and the interior was hidden by a ...glowing door?

'It is a door, it's like a glowing film of water,' Lukas thought, he walked up close and couldn't see through the film but considering the words that were engraved into the building he needed to go in there.

  [Nexus Hub]

He looked at the film before he walked through the door, the sensations he felt were different from the time he used his special skill. His skin felt like it was lightly being pulled over in different directions as he passed through the door and arrived on the other side.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

The other side was a square room that looked like it was inside of a temple, there was a strange script engraved on the temple and at the center of it all was a small glowing crystal that sat on an altar.

'This shit looks like it's straight out of a Lara Croft: Tomb Raider game... well except that everything looks pristine and in perfect condition.' Lukas walked closer and stared at the crystal but as soon as he got within a meter of the crystal it started humming and a notification appeared in front of him.

  ...

Lukas looked at the reward and sighed again, 'What is this, how are these many people rushing to complete these tasks...'

He clicked on 'Yes' and more notifications started appearing in front of him.

  ...

Lukas looked at the barrage of options that appeared before him in a daze, this was a lot more complicated than he was expecting it to be.

'I was thinking along the likes of an archer mage or warrior... what the fuck is all this...' His eyes gleamed as he read through the description of each of those classes from top to bottom.
