Rinaye was ten years old now and she had made quite a group of friends in town. The Baker's niece, Ruby was rather nice, even if she was blunt about everything. Nina's little sister, Cassie was adorable and Rinaye would probably kill for her. Almost every single food vender knew Rinaye personally because of her bottomless pit of a stomach and almost every villager knew of Rinaye because of her frequent performances in the plaza. Rinaye had branched out from the ukulele now that she was big enough to play a few more instruments. She could play some guitar, piano, the drums, almost anything now. She even started playing instruments she never played in her past life. The violin was very hard, despite what she originally thought.
The genres of music she played in her performances branched out as well. Instead of just pop, now she was jamming to heavy metal as well as singing along to musicals that she loved previously. Every song she ending up singing would get stuck in everyone heads. No matter who you were. People started to gather for her shows hours before they started and even some nobles came in disguise. Rinaye didn't really care about how many people came, all that mattered is that how much fun everyone had in the moment, and Rinaye had fun.
When Rinaye's performance was done she would go the bakery and buy snacks for her brothers. She would head back to the Duchy, not even bothering to hide her presence anymore. Almost everyone but the Duke knew that Rinaye had been escaping the past few years. It was the most well known secret in the entire Duchy. After her journey to town, Rinaye would make her way over to the training grounds and hang out with her brother, Arion.
Arion was fifteen years old now, and it showed. He had improved in both strength and magical capabilities. It was only a few months ago that Arion started to work on improving his control of magic. The flames he produced went from nearly noncontrollable to as small as a lantern light in only a matter of weeks. Even Allison admitted that the control of his magic was impressive for his age. Now that, was an achievement. They would talk about everything. From his own training to Rinaye's performance that day, they would chat about everything while chomping down on the baked goods Rinaye brought back from town.

Sometimes they would even spar like the good old days. Arion's strategy and footwork would normaly make quick work of anyone his age but Rinaye still sometimes overpowered him with pure strength, somehow. They enjoyed every minute of it. When Allison joined in Arion would take the time to learn a few things from the prodigy of House Vissier. An opportunity not even the royal family was able to procure due to Allison's "frail constitution". When Allison first met Arion, Arion thought that she was just one of those quiet and naive girls that their parents had confided in their rooms their whole life. It was probably just a coincidence that she shared the same name as the demon that supposedly helped Rinaye, but as soon as Allison and Rinaye interacted with each other around him, it became painfully obvious that they would do anything for each other. Allison's quiet demeanor changed almost immediately. She talked almost more then Rinaye with how much she was speaking. They treated each other with love and respect of someone who had known someone for more than their whole lives.
Allison's first impression of Arion was something among the lines of, "He could probably protect her well enough if I am not able." She even started helping him just because she wanted Rinaye to be as safe as possible here.
After Rinaye had taken up a large amount of her brother's time she would go and visit her other brother.
Now, you might be thinking,
Well, Rinaye was the kind of person who would still try to be friends with someone even if there isn't a sliver of hope left and it works half the time. It was like she put all of her points into charisma when making her character sheet.
She would always knock on this door at the same time of day, wait for him to answer with a or . So she would place the baked goods she had purchased along with some hot chocolate (his favorite drink according to Arion), and place a note that said,
Cassion had no idea who these presents where coming from. His best guess was that the squire, Ryan, had took pity on him or something. So after his work, he would enjoy it, savoring every sip of the chocolate and just straight up devouring the food since he had a habit of forgetting to eat during his work. It didn't even cross his mind that the sister he didn't bother to learn the name of would be sneaking out of her prison everyday to get food and something to drink for her seventeen year old brother.
Who would ever think that?
Ever?
