Jack was laying on a bed and had just been woken up by a violent shake of his entire body.
“Jack, wake up already man, it’s time for the mission.” A black haired man crouching down in front his face ordered.
“Woah!” Jack exclaimed, jumping off his bed. “You scared me man! You gotta stop doing that Bratz.” Jack said to the man known as Bratz.
Bratz was wearing a United States military uniform, the same one Jack is wearing as well. Bratz had long straight hair that went to his shoulders which was completely opposite to Jack’s short, spikey, white hair. The room they were in was filled with beds and seemed to be some sort of sleeping quarters.
Bratz led Jack outside of the room that was actually a tent, to see General Forsquave waiting for them with a large smile plastered on his face.
“Good morning, soldiers. I’m impressed, you two survived even after all the other subjects keeled over and died from the experiments. After all our research, you two have truly become the perfect military weapons. Be proud.” Forsquave said.
Jack and Bratz’s eyes visibly fizzled with sadness when the death of their comrades were mentioned but they quickly returned their focus to General Forsquave.
General Forsquave goes to a nearby log and sits down.
“For today’s mission, I need you to invade a Russian nuclear base. They have weapons of mass destruction being manufactured there and it’s guarded by about 130 people. Once you’re inside, extract the data from the computers into the hard drive we will give you and explode the base. Are you ready, subjects?” General Forsquave explained.

“Yes sir.” Both of the men said, giving salute to Forsquave in response.
An hour later, the two men were rushing into battle, running as fast as they can while taking out as many soldiers as possible. They were in a barren and extremely cold environment due to the location being stranded away from human activity. When a Russian soldier rushed at Jack, Jack quickly kneed him in the stomach, threw him in the air, and took out his pistol and shot him. In contrast, Bratz used non lethal attacks and avoided fatally wounding his opponents.
They climbed up a hill through the snow in order to reach the nuclear base. They signaled to each other to split up and go in separate directions.
Jack eventually reached the top of the hill and reached the Nuclear base after slaughtering every enemy in his way. Each kill caused a grimace to appear on Jack’s face, a hint of doubt slipping into his mind. His eyes glistened with a feeling of sorrow, sadness, and…guilt. He entered the base and killed each of the people defending the base from the inside and plugged in the hard drive given to him.
Once it finished extracting the data, Jack decided to find Bratz before exploding the base.
He went outside to see Bratz, standing over a Russian soldier with a pistol to his skull. But for some reason, Bratz didn’t shoot, he hesitated as the gun began shaking in his palm. Jack noticed another soldier on the ground a few feet away who was aiming their gun at Bratz’s head.
“BRATZ BEHIND YO-” Jack tried to warn Bratz of his fate even knowing it was too late.
The bullet had been fired and even though Bratz knew it was towards him he was not fast enough to react. When the bullet pierced Bratz’s skull his body fell to the ground. Jack took out his gun and shot both of the soldiers and ran to Bratz’s lifeless body.
He checked Bratz’s pulse, tried to shake him awake, anything to convince him his best friend wasn’t dead. All this time, even after all of his other friends died, he still had a purpose behind the tragedy that he faced because of Bratz. There was still a human part of him, a part of him that felt guilt after every kill. But, his illogical efforts were in vain, only one truth remained.
Bratz, the only person that kept him still human, had died.
“NOOO!” Jack screamed into the void cold sky as snow slowly fell onto his uniform.
Later, Jack returned to the base, carrying Bratz’s lifeless body in his arms and explained the situation to General Forsquave. To Jack’s surprise, the General felt no anger or concern with the death of Bratz. In fact, he seemed happy, happy that his soldier had lost everything. Regardless of the fact he lost a valuable military asset, General Forsquave smiled into the empty eyes of Jack Watanabe.
That was the last thing Jack saw before he suddenly woke up, drenched in sweat. He was in the same room he had started to become acquainted with. Jack was still inside the tournament of Omniscience and had no time to dwell on the past. Right now, he had to be sure he still had a future.
Which was by winning the tournament of course.
