Vayne decides to do field study regarding summoning magic, he tries to remember what kind of beast that being summon by the student. Vayne thought this information shall be help during the mock battle. The students start to make some noise, it time for Alex summoned a beast to make the entrant. Medium size lion with a red mane is looking really strong compared to other beasts.

  Grim: Oh, it the grand flame lion. I don’t think any student here capable to summon this kind of beast.

  Grim: Master, you should be careful. This kind summoned beast is not easy being tamed by low-level mage like that student. At least for now.

  From Vayne place, he can see that the lion is out of control and began to rampage and killing other summoned beast. The students are panic and running away, they only care about themselves and pushing other students. One of the female students falls down due to panic and injured her leg because being stepped on. Right now, the teacher’s beast is fighting the lion in order to pin it down or defeat it. Vayne who know there is still a student that not yet escape rush to the fighting area in order to help her, the giant snake is on the edge of defeat and the teacher also has rushed to protect her student.

  Upon calling the name of the sword, Grim spill out the holder of sword and Vayne pull it out from Grim. The sword is shining in gold radiant, by using both of his hand, Vayne blocking the charge from the lion and stop it before reach his teacher and classmate. The lion jumps backwards after being stopped by Vayne, seeing this human boy as a new enemy the lion start to attack. The lion unleased few attacks by using its claw, Vayne able to block a few of its attack but some of the attack managed to put a scratch on him. Vayne counter by swing his sword in the vertical side, the lion easily avoid that attack and strike at Vayne’s stomach using its head.

  The lion knows its enemy is an amateur in using sword thus it can easily defeat him in this battle. The lion using its fireball again and launch it at the high speed toward Vayne, the attack is connected and now Vayne is in danger. The lion rushes to give a finishing blow to the boy, its jump up in the air and trying to bite Vayne’s head. Vayne knows he will die, but he can’t move away, he closes his eyes and prays for a miracle to happen. Suddenly, he can feel warm liquid flow on his face and the smell of that liquid is the same as blood. Vayne knew there is blood on his face but he can’t feel the pain, open up his eye, he can see the head of the lion is separate from its body.

  Besides the lion head, stand a man wearing heavy looking armour, Vayne faint after using the Grim ability. The surrounding area now is quiet yet warm feeling, Vayne woke up from his sleep. He notices he is at academy clinic a place to give treatment for injured student. Besides his bed, a female student is waiting for him to wake up. She seems so happy after Vayne opens up his eye. The girl told about what happens after he faints, the person who saves him was a captain of the magic knight. He comes to the academy in order to discuss regarding the mock battle test and went he see the student is being attacked by a beast, he rushes toward the scene and beat the lion using his spear attack. Then he calls for help to bring Vayne and injured student to get treatment.

  Girl: By the way, I would like to give you my thanked for saving me earlier. My name is Mina Stephen.

  Mina: I hope we can befriend from today onward.

  Vayne: You welcome, wait what you want to be my friend?
