The classroom has begun just like always, those who are injured have been given an exception from attending the classroom. Today class is about the demon beast, the teacher is explaining their origin and the reason why it is happening. The demon beasts usually live in deep mountain and sea, but there is a certain time they will wonderer far from their place and meet the human. Those demon beast need to be exterminated and it the job for Magic Knight, besides Magic Knight there is another organization that took care of killing these beast know as Guild. The guild is a mercenary team that can be hired by contract and money, sometimes Magic Knight and Guild shall help each other to exterminate stronger demon beast.
Today's lesson has ended, Vayne and Mina leave the classroom together because they have something to discuss. After the event of rampaging beast, some of the students have stopped from picking up with Vayne. Going to the cafeteria, Mina has decided to talk about incoming mock battle with Vayne. According to Mina, they must find someone who is good in support magic to be in their team. The plan that has been drawn out by Mina is, Vayne shall be in the front line and Mina with one more team member shall provide support to Vayne. Looking that their food is ready, Mina stands up and go to the food stall to receive their order.
Grim: You quite an obedience from the beginning, why you don’t say anything back?
Vayne: Well, she is better strategies compare to me. It is better to let her decide on the strategy.
Grim: I can’t believe you agree to be in the same team with that stalker.
Mina is a stalker? It goes back during the time Mina treat Vayne in the academy clinic, Mina saw some bruise on Vayne body and she asks if that bruise comes from 2 senior students that bully him. Vayne asks how Mina knows about what happened between him and senior student, and then suddenly Vayne’s brain starts to remember the scene during bully. As far as he can remember, he notices there is somebody hiding behind the tree, then during his study at the library he also remembers Mina was there, lastly every night during his work at bar, he remembers there is a female student from academy that likes to spend time in the bar until it closes. Mina's face turn red and she asks for apologies, the truth is she had set her eyes upon Vayne from the first day of class. For her, Vayne is a cool yet charming person that why she has secretly stalk Vayne in his daily life to find out more about him.
Vayne: She is not a bad person and her feeling to be my friend is sincerely come from her heart.
Grim: Agree, now let’s focus on finding another person for your group. Hope this one is not a weirdo like both of you.

Mina returned withholding a portion of food for both of them, they both eat and discuss the third member for their team. Mina suggests calling one of the classmates as the last person, Vayne disagrees because he is sure that none of the student in their classroom except Mina wants him in the team. During lunch, Vayne heard some of the student talking about something, and then he asks Mina to find out what has happened. After a short talk between Mina and that student, it seems some of the first-year students have met with a ghost of a female student. According to legend, the ghost is the spirit of the first-year student that die during the mock battle. The place where this ghost always appears is near the empty clubroom at the end of the corridor.
Curious to know more Mina begging Vayne to come with her to see this ghost, Vayne agrees to accompany Mina due to her own safety. After school, both of them goes straight to the location where the student meets this ghost person. Now they standing in front of the empty clubroom, carefully Vayne open up the door which he finds up is already unlocked from the beginning. Inside the clubroom is empty except a piece of blanket to cover a few boxes. Mina goes inside the club and inspecting everything that picks her sense. She next pulls out the blanket and found out a body of a female student, panic with the situation she runs and hugs Vayne. Vayne who is panic with the situation try to calm Mina out, and then with a small step, Mina tries to check the condition of the girl. What she finds out is, this person is already dead.
Voice: What are you doing with my body? It is rude to touch somebody without permission you know.
A voice of a girl come from the behind, Mina who quickly turn to see has faint due to shock. Vayne at another hand does not move because he needs to be preparing for what he shall see after he turns around. Before Vayne turn around, in front of his eye there is a girl flying without a leg and smiling to him. From what he sees, the flying girl and the dead girl is the same person. Shocking with what he seeing, Vayne also faints and joining Mira in deep slumber.
Voice: Good morning sleeping head.
Vayne and Mina woke up from faint, it seems the girl who Mina found out to be dead is now alive and eating a snack. The girl invites both of them to join her in her small tea party, both of them are confused and want to know the truth about what happened. The girl then starts her explanation about what happened, the truth is she can use magic to pull out her own soul from her body, in soul form she can flying and goes through the wall without any problem. The main weakness of this magic is, while in soul mode her physical body is exposing to danger, she now in trouble to find another student to be her group from the mock battle. Knowing the girl is looking for a new member, Mina quickly suggests that she need to enter Mina and Vayne's group. Both of them have their own weakness and the new girl is suitable to join their group. She agrees to join their group.
Now Vayne has finally gathered enough people to join the mock battle. The first teammate is Vayne Beldrik, a boy who can’t use magic, the second is Mina Stephen who is the big stalker girl and the last one is Fiola Heirest, the girl who can separate her soul from her body. Together, they shall enter the mock battle test that will be held 3 days from now.
