The King has arranged a contest. The winners are to be sent on a quest to save the princess from The Dark Lord. The prize? Titles, land, possibly the princess’ hand in marriage, and gold for those uninterested in the previous. It all sounds straightforward except for a few minor points. Like, who is this Dark Lord nobody has ever heard about? Didn’t the Princess die during her birth twenty years ago? Why isn''''t the King sending soldiers? Well, at least the prizes are probably real.
