Sapphire pov,

  A gangewifre tried to bite through Sapphire’s mail; the humanoid couldn’t be more thankful for wearing armor at that moment. The silk net weighed down on her, inhibiting her movement. A wave of holy magic rolled over Sapphire filling her with comfort and energy. The monster that was chomping on her recoiled in pain. The humanoid quickly leaped to her feet. She stabbed her sword into the spider’s eyes. Sapphire quickly sshed to the left, catching a gangewifre in one of its legs. The monster froze and spasmed. The humanoid summoned a fireball incinerating the spider. She hovered her hand over her bde to reapply the lightning spell to it.

  “Demon!” Kemen shouted. One of the gryphons screeched in pain. When Sapphire turned around she saw Eormenhild lying on top of Nova her disguise was dispelled. Her body was slowly healing. The gryphon was missing most of her wing and her side was damaged. Wulffwynn was leaning over the gryphon applying a health potion to the wound. One of Kat’s daggers was hovering inches away from Kemen’s neck.

  “What did you do!” Sapphire screamed at Kemen, stabbing her sword into his wing. “Have you all been enthralled by the succubus!” Kemen asked as he colpsed to the ground.“You just see an unconscious succubus that saved your life, and you decide to unleash a deadly space magic spell on them,” Wulfwynn decred.“Be thankful I’m not as cruel as you,” Sapphire finally said, as she pulled her sword out of the sky alf. She dispelled what was left of her lightning enchantment on it, and put her sword away. “We will no longer travel with you!” Sapphire decred.“Even you Kat?” Kemen asked. “I don’t condone Phire stabbing you, and I don’t trust demons, but attempting to murder someone that just saved you is not something I can just ignore,” Kat responded. The dwarf turned away from Kemen with a huff.

  Sapphire leaned down next to Nova. She put her hand on Nova’s chest. The succubus’ chest rose and fell at a normal rate. Sapphire let out a sigh. Eormenhild nuzzled Nova’s face. The wolf-kin was happy to see the gryphon back on her feet.

  “This is a disaster,” Kat stated as they had their arms folded in front of their chest, “We will need to find a good pce to camp.”“Can we still fly after the storm blows over?” Sapphire asked.“Eormenhild’s wing was destroyed,” Wulfwynn responded, as she petted the gryphons head.

  Sapphire gently picked up her unconscious girlfriend. She is so pretty! Sapphire nuzzled Nova’s cheek. Wulfwynn put Nova’s helmet into Sapphire’s bag. She strapped Nova’s axe to Eormenhild. The gryphon cooed at Wulfwynn. The artificer scratched the beast’s head.

  Kemen had already disappeared into the forest. “Our holy eyesight won’t st forever,” Kat reminded.The dwarf propelled their knives through the foliage cutting a path for the gryphons.“How do you know we are going in the right direction?” Sapphire asked the dwarf. “I can always sense north,” Kat responded.“Do all dwarfs have internal lodestones? Or is it because of your metal affinity?” Sapphire asked.“Of course not,” Kat chuckled, “it’s my strong metal affinity.”

  Sapphire was traveling in the middle of all the gryphons. She kept alert especially from attacks above. Gangewifres flitted through the trees in and out of Sapphire’s vision. The humanoid soon could no longer see through the fog, but she could still hear the monsters legs, she could still smell their stench. Sapphy buried her face into Nova’s hair and inhaled her girlfriend’s sweet scent. Sapphire sighed she loved the way Nova smelled.

  The succubus finally started to stir. Soft lips tickled Sapphire’s neck. The humanoid lifted her head out of Nova’s hair she stared into her girlfriend’s bck abyssal eyes.“How are you feeling?” Sapphire asked.“Like I was run over by a truck,” Nova said.There she goes again saying words that no one knows.“What’s a ‘twuck’?” Sapphire asked.Nova’s eyes looked distant for a moment. Then she blinked twice and shook her head.“Thinking about it is giving me a headache,” Nova responded.“Do you need more energy?” Sapphire asked in concern.“I should be fine. I can probably walk now,” Nova stated. “Don’t forget to feed your slime, they don’t look to good,” Sapphire said as she reluctantly put Nova on the ground, “but first come here,” Sapphy gently cupped Nova’s soft dark cheeks. She pulled the succubus into a gentle kiss. Nova melted into Sapphire’s kiss.“I love you!” Sapphire whispered after she pulled out of the kiss. Nova shyly pulled away and averted her gaze.

  The succubus gently held her slime self in her hands. A purple glow went out of her hands into her slime self. The slime started to look more full and healthy; its skin looked less saggy and wrinkly.“When you are ready could you bless our eyes again?” Sapphire asked her girlfriend softly.

  Nova pov,

  Her erotic energy flowed into her slime self. The intense pain soon went away. She turned toward Sapphy. The wolf-kin still gave her a look of concern. “I’m okay Sapphy,” Nova said as she put her hands over Sapphire’s eyes letting out some holy magic.The wolf-kin’s face was really soft. Eormenhild nuzzled Nova’s shoulder. The succubus reluctantly removed her hands from her girlfriend’s face. She summoned more holy magic out of her hands. She guided the golden light to each of her companions' eyes.Wulfwynn shot an arrow upward a gangewifre fell out of the sky.“They have spun another net!” The artificer warned.

  Sapphire shot fireballs into the net before it could fall. Nova painfully held holy magic meant for the net in her hands. She gritted her teeth. A monster soon descended quickly toward Nova hanging from its web. The priestess released her magic into the gangewifre’s face. The monster dropped lifeless to the ground.

  Another gangewifre descended toward Nova while she was still dealing with the first one. Eormenhild pinned down the monster. Nova jumped onto the gryphon’s back. She drew her axe from Eormenhild’s saddle. Another monster skittered forward. Nova’s slime self descended to protect the gryphon’s fnk. The monster bit into slime Nova. She was not about to find out what giant spider tasted like. Her slime self just held the spider in pce. The succubus brought down her axe on the spider.

  A giant gangewifre barreled through Nova’s party. The succubus was knocked off her mount. Eormenhild fell on top of Nova. Kat was the first to recover. The dwarf nimbly broke their fall with a roll. They were soon on their feet.“It's a cyning gangewifre its hide is impenetrable! Use blunt attacks! Phire use fire! Wulfwynn aim for its eyes!” Kat ordered, as a maul from their mount flew into their hand.

  An assortment of wood kobolds, goblins and slimes came out of the bushes on all sides. They wielded fils made out of silk and rocks. A few had silk slings. Nova quickly retrieved her helmet. The first volley of rocks harmlessly rattled against her helmet. A few rocks hit her mail causing small bruises that healed quickly.

  Nova let out a battle cry, she charged forth, swinging her axe back and forth. primitive fils bounced off her armor. The sweet pain intoxicated her, driving her forward. A wood kobold’s fil hit her hand, breaking her fingers. Nova grunted, and gritted her teeth, as she brought down her axe on the kobold. Nova’s slime self did a wonderful job at protecting her back and sides. The slime hiding under the cloak blocked or deflected incoming fils. She consumed the gross weaker slimes. That jumped on her back.

  “Nova can you free me!” Wulfwynn yelledThe succubus left the rest of the small monsters to the gryphons. She ran to help out Wulfwynn her legs were entangled in a web. Nova quickly cut the web with a stream of concentrated holy magic.“Thank you!” Wulfwynn grimaced at Nova.

  Soon the only monster left standing was the cyning gangewifre. The huge spider id web traps everywhere it went. Nova was kept busy freeing her allies from the traps. Two of the monster’s eyes had arrows sticking in them. The gangewifre kept running around, and attacking when someone got stuck in a trap. Nova spotted a trap near a tree. She purposefully ran into it. She prepared holy chains while looking at the monster. Nova made a show of trying to pull herself out of the trap.

  The giant gangewifre charged at Nova right before the monster hit her Nova stood up, shooting out holy chains. The chains wrapped around the monster and the tree. Nova quickly bsted the web that trapped her. She swiftly ran from the tree. The gangewifre nashed its teeth right were Nova once stood.

  Kat threw her metal maul; they magically maniputed it so that it was high above the head of the trapped monster. They propelled it downward at a fast speed. Nova closed her eyes and winced. The noise of the hammer hitting the monster tortured Nova’s ears.

  “That was the grossest noise I have ever heard!” Sapphire compined.“Come here,” Wulfwynn held her arms out to the traumatized wolf-kin.Sapphire buried herself into Wulfwynn’s embrace.If Beornia were here she would rebuke them and tell them to stay alert. It hasn’t yet been a full day, but gods I miss her. A group of harpies descended from the skies Nova ran, and tackled the two girls. They barely avoided the harpies attack.

  The storm must be no longer above us. If only we could fly. Nova intuited.
