No matter what happens, the world moves on. It could be the worst day of your life. Maybe a loved one died, or your whole family. The world continues to move forward as if it didn't happen.
You are an insignificant ant in a world of billions living better lives than you could ever imagine. Even if the world turned to ash, the universe wouldn't notice one of the grains of sand disappearing in the infinite void.
"Keep running." A male werewolf with brown fur shouts as his lupin legs springs himself from the ground to the roof of a one story building.
He stops and looks into the wind blowing in his face as he makes sure everyone is keeping up.
"Have you seen Luna?" Another wolf says as he lands next to the first. "Darian. Have you seen her?" He asks again after a few moments of silence.
"My job is to make sure most of us get back alive. I'm not going to play favorites." Darian yells so his voice can be heard over the blazing wind.
I'm front of him, a pack of a hundred or so werewolves are running away from an onslaught of blue energy projectiles. Several of the getting hit and being mortally wounded.
One of the projectiles hits Darian in his left eye causing him to loose sight. He recoils in pain as he holds his hand over the wound while staying on his feet.
"Get out of here." Darian shouts akkkowKkkkkf. "Lukas. I need you to survive." He says as he grabs Lukas' shoulder.
Lukas pushes Darian's arm away and rushes towards the back of the pack towards the danger. 'I'm sorry, Darian. I just can't let anything bad happen to Luna.' He says to himself as he casually weaves his way through the barrage of projectiles.
Not seeing her as he passes by the last werewolf, he continues on, becoming more worried by the second.
'When this is over I have to tell her how I feel. I've put this off to long. Luna, I-'
In the middle of his thoughts, one of the projectiles hit him and everything goes black.
The next thing Lukas felt was being woken up by a large amount of water being splashed in his face.
He opens his eyes to see three men standing in front of him. Looking around, he sees he's in a small room and that he's chained to a wall unable to move.
"Wretched vermine." One of the men wearing a standard mitary uniform shouts. "You know you're not allowed to leave your cage."
Lukas lets out a small chuckle. "Right? But you get to do anything you want to us. Why are you so surprised there was a revolt?"
The man standing next to the first sneers and punches Lukas in the face. "You're not allowed to talk like that."

The man punches Lukas in the stomach. However, Lukas can't help but smile at their attempts to break him. His pride won't faulter that easily.
"Sorry, did I hurt your feelings, princess?" Lukas again lets out a chuckle, showing his captors he doest fear them.
The men take this as a challenge and take turns punching, kicking, and tazing him.
After they finish, they leave the room. The last soldier making one more comment before he leaves.
"We'll be back tomorrow to do this again after your wounds heal."
The men walk down the hall laughing and gossiping about various topics as if they didn't just commit such heinous acts. The taller man in the middle with various medals on his uniform separates from the group and enters his office.
Once there, he picks up a phone and presses one of the speedial options. A few seconds later, the line picks up.
"William! It's General Catlas. Do you have time to talk about the incident that happened a few hours ago?" He says with a rough voice.
"I don't know why you keep insisting that we have these conversations." William says slightly annoyed. "It's pointless to threaten me since you can't punish us."
"Who said anything about threats.?" Catlas asks. "What made you think you could escape this time?"
"You really think I'm responsible for the Silverfang's actions? If Darien wants to wipe out his pack, that's fine with me."
Catlas smiles at William's words. "You're a good house pet aren't you? Unlike those ruffians who can't stay on the reservation."
William's blood starts to boil when he hears the words house pet. He's about to talk back to Catlas when he realizes he's right. "As long as your government keeps their word, then we won't have a problem."
Catlas laughs at his poor attempt of a threat and hangs up the phone.
William slams his fists on the table he's standing next to. 'Damn it, Darien. Why do you guys always cause so much trouble? I'll kill you if any harm came to my daughter.'
A few minutes later, William walks out of his log cabin house towards the town square. The dirt path he takes is narrow and winds through the woods like a river.
As he gets closer, a loud commotion could be heard. A large group of werewolves gather to tend to the wounded wolves returning from their escape plan. The village as a whole resembles a medieval township, but on a larger scale.
"Stop this at once." Willaim shouts. "Let the Silverfang's tend to their own. If they want to put our lives in danger, then we won't help them out in any way."
An older werewolf with gray fur steps up to William. "And do you speak for the entire council?"
"If I have to." William glares at the elderly man.
"Perhaps knowing your daughter is safe will change your tune?"
William takes a sigh of relief knowing that Luna is alright. "Not at all. They were the reason why my daughters' life was put in danger. This same shit happened twelve years ago and apparently you guys didn't learn your lesson after your parents were slaughtered."
The SilverFang pack held their down in shame. All they wanted was to be free, even if it costs them thier lives. However, they realized this was never going to happen. They thought they had a chance at freedom, but now it looks like they were wrong.
Luna on the other hand walk out of the crowed and stood in front of her father with a disappointed look. Her black fur and long braided hair has a slight tint of blue, but her eyes were completely sapphire.
"We'd rather die free than live as slaves. Mom understood that. Are you going to let her attempt at freedom be in vain?"
At that moment, William wanted to slap her, but he held back his rage. He didn't want live like this either. None of them did. In thier minds, living was the better option.
"I'm just glad you're not hurt." William finally says after a few moments of silence. "I can't loose you too."
Darian was watching all the commotion unfold from a distance, making sure no one could see him. He couldn't face everyone now that they suffered such a defeat.
'Next time we'll be more prepared.' Darian thought. 'We need to get stronger.'
