The desert of Meryn – a massive, rocky expanse, where Eversprings are the difference between life and death. Here the ruins of ancient battleships litter the landscape; harvested by the inhabitants for metals and artifacts that sustain life. Most of society lives on the perimeter of this desert, with the center controlled by the Sentinels– metal monstrosities hellbent on continuing the war that ended centuries ago.
