Chapter 128: The Magician Association 4

"Certainly, there is no issue." Puffman was somewhat taken aback by Kenley's efficiency. Magicians typically become so engrossed in their reading that some will remain seated for an entire day, or even for several days and nights on end, and they would even partake of their meals within the confines of the Magician Association.

It is not that magicians do not desire to read at home; rather, there is a dearth of a conducive learning ambiance within the home.

"By the way, young man, you recall the agreement we made just now, don't you?" Puffman said with a genial smile.

"Of course, I have not forgotten, sir," Kenley nodded.

"Wait a moment." Just then, Green interjected.

Puffman turned his gaze towards her."What is it, Green? Are you contemplating reneging on our agreement now?"

"Reneging? Out of the question. I mean that the Rain Summoning spell should not be cast here. Let us proceed to the Star-Gazing Platform on the top floor," Green pointed upwards.

"Why?" Tia, who had never before cast a life magic spell and was about to do so for the first time, was filled with curiosity.

"Those who are newly learning the Rain Summoning spell often confound it with the Water Convergence spell. This is a library. Although it is safeguarded by magic, I have no desire for these waters to create a chaotic mess within the library," Green lifted the brim of her hat, revealing a pair of luminous eyes.

Gazing into Green's eyes, Tia offered a sweet smile."I see. I was just about to attempt the Rain Summoning spell myself. This magic is truly fascinating."

"Indeed, life magic possesses its own unique allure. Some forms of life magic are often intricately linked to combat magic and are far from being simplistic," Green harbored a considerable degree of fondness for Tia.

When everyone arrived at the Star-Gazing Platform on the top floor, it was precisely four o'clock in the afternoon, a time when the sun was descending in the west, casting a warm and radiant glow. The densely packed yet orderly spires, the bustling throngs of pedestrians resembling ants yet moving in waves, and the entire panoramic view of Marlen Imperial City were all laid out before the eyes of those atop the tower.

The Star-Gazing Platform was supported by six cylindrical columns, and the ceiling was a vast dome adorned with an intricate network of various constellations. A large telescope was erected on one side of the platform, and in the corner, there were also stacked some arcane magic books of unknown origin.

"So magnificent!" Tia leaned excitedly against the railing of the Star-Gazing Platform, gazing down at the teeming crowd below, resembling a lively and agile little bird.

  "It is truly breathtaking."

"Then let us commence now. Which one of you two shall go first?" Puffman glanced at the two of them.

"Tia, you may go ahead," Kenley said.

"Alright! No problem!" With that, Tia spread her hands wide and began to intone the incantation.

When casting the Rain Summoning spell, it bears a resemblance to the casting of a forbidden incantation. As the incantation is being recited, a series of successive magic runes will materialize around the caster. These runes will resonate with the magical elements in the air, setting the surrounding water-based magical elements in motion, generating a continuous stream of water mist that eventually ascends and transforms into rain clouds.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Finally, upon the completion of the incantation, the rain will cascade down accordingly.

A swirling mist began to rise around Tia, resembling a delicate veil of white that continuously coiled and swirled about her.

Both Green and Puffman's eyes lit up with admiration. Tia's talent was truly exceptional. Despite it being her very first encounter with the Rain Summoning spell, she was already executing it with remarkable proficiency.

It is recalled that most apprentices, upon their initial attempt at casting the Rain Summoning spell, were unable to even generate the water mist, producing only clusters of water balls instead. Casting the Rain Summoning spell requires not merely the accurate recitation of the incantation but also a substantial degree of comprehension.

One must be capable of discerning the fluctuations of the surrounding elements and establishing a resonance with them. Only in this manner can the water elements interact swiftly with the magician and instantaneously transform into rain clouds.

Tia's talent was already of a remarkably high caliber. When they beheld the rising of this thin mist, Green and Puffman could not help but exchange a knowing glance. What an incredibly gifted child she was. It seemed that, given the opportunity in the future, they must definitely provide this child with thorough guidance.

Swish! A gentle rain fell within a radius of fifty meters. Although the rain was light, it was clearly a resounding success. In the eyes of Puffman and Green, Tia had already surpassed 99% of the magic apprentices!

  "Exceptionally excellent!"

"Tia, you are truly a magician born with innate talent!" Green and Puffman spared no words in their effusive praise of Tia.

"Thank you, Teacher Green! Thank you, Mr. President!" Tia's delicate face flushed with embarrassment. Being lauded by such esteemed magic masters, Tia's heart was brimming with joy. She couldn't resist stealing a furtive glance at her master. The opportunity to showcase her magical talent in front of her master filled her with anticipation towards Kenley.

"Tia, I am immensely proud of you!" Kenley gave Tia a thumbs-up gesture.

  Tia's face grew even redder.

Subsequently, it was Kenley's turn to cast the spell.

Kenley stood on the platform and began to intone the incantation of the Rain Summoning spell:"Vali witnessed the birth and demise of all things, the ascent and descent of light and darkness in the ocean. What the world lacks is not the flames of destruction but the life-giving waters that can nourish all things..."

As Kenley intoned the incantation, the previously clear and sunny sky was suddenly enveloped in a dense shroud of dark clouds, and the sunlight was completely obscured by the black veil in an instant. A fierce gust of wind swept in, causing everyone's garments to flutter and billow in the wind.

There was even a faint rumbling of thunder flickering in the sky. In the blink of an eye, it seemed as though a torrential downpour was imminent.

The previously tranquil magical elements in the air seemed to have been stirred into a frenzy.

Green's countenance froze, and Puffman's smile also became fixed.

Guinevere, who was diligently activating the crystal ball on the third floor, and Daina, who was an Elementalist, both sensed that something was amiss.

"Who on earth has caused the magical elements to become so turbulent?!" The two sisters couldn't help but exchange a startled glance and then immediately rushed to the window to peer outside.

The leaden sky seemed to be filled with a mass of dark clouds, as if a tempestuous storm was on the verge of breaking at any moment.

"Strange. Marlen Imperial City is situated in a plain area. There should not be such weather phenomena..." Guinevere furrowed her brow in perplexity.

"The magical elements have been disrupted, sister. Someone is casting a magic spell," said Daina, who was at level 55. Evidently, she possessed a slightly keener perception than Guinevere. Of course, given more time for growth, Guinevere would naturally surpass Daina in this regard.

"Could it be Teacher Puffman?" Magic spells of this magnitude, pertaining to meteorological phenomena, could not be cast by magicians without a significant period of accumulated experience.

  A torrential downpour ensued!

The pedestrians on the street scurried for cover or sought refuge. Those without umbrellas promptly rushed home to retrieve them, while the stranded pedestrians took shelter under the eaves of the buildings lining the street, awaiting the cessation of the rain before resuming their activities.

Large raindrops the size of beans pelted against the windowsill. Gazing at the rain pouring down in sheets, like a dense fog or a billowing cloud, Guinevere fell into a deep reverie. She suddenly recalled the bet that Teacher Puffman and Teacher Green had made earlier. Could it really be that mysterious person?

But she shook her head and quickly dismissed this thought. It was impossible. Perhaps Teacher Puffman was instructing a student, which was why the Rain Summoning spell had been cast.
