'A kill or be killed world,' Lukas thought as he read through all the information present in the panel. There were several conjectures that he instantly drew from the panel.
'So Mana is a thing, but why don't I feel any different, I can't sense anything different about me other than feeling a little energized.' Lukas thought as he concentrated. He had read through some books on magic, even stories like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. But the absence of any form of additional energy in his body was a bit different than what he had assumed.
'...Alright, we'll come back to that, I remember seeing a level-up notification before I got teleported here...' Lukas thought as he focused on the last line on the panel.
'Status?' He thought and the panel in front of him closed and was replaced by an orange panel this time.
...
...
Lukas read through this new window peacefully, he ignored the glowing titles and read through the stats.
'So my Mana is 0 that's why I have no Mana points, still, why are there two stats related to mana.' Lukas thought, he had a lot of questions but still he focused on the two glowing titles. While Lukas believed in logic above everything else, the curiosity of glowing things was a little hard to ignore. He tapped on the {Pioneer} title first, after all, Legendary sounded better than Unique.
...
...
The Pioneer title was a lot simpler than Lukas was expecting, it had a simple reasoning and explanation though why were some stats hidden that he didn't know. But it is a growth-based title meant that if he simply maintained his level advantage he should be able to get better rewards.
He moved onto the second title, Psychopath sounded way darker than the Pioneer, but the fact that he could get the title for first kill was enlightening.
...
...
Lukas's eyes widened as he read through that status description, it was an amazing title that could allow him to grow quickly, and as he began feeling excited about it he couldn't help but think about the benefits of being first to do anything.
'I got the title for the first person in this integration to level up and also being the first person to kill someone of the same species. That means there are different species out there, and killing them first could give another title.'
While the Stats that could be increased by leveling seemed like a good source of excitement for almost everyone, the competitive edge that Lukas had allowed him to focus on border aspects. He added 2 points to Mana and 1 point to Soul and closed the status window.
Lukas looked around before he looked up, he wasn't a survival expert but at least just by looking at the Sun, he would have a sense of direction. He looked at the two shining orbs in the sky for a moment in confusion before he walked in a straight line that connected the two suns.
'Well, that was convenient...' Both suns worked as a natural compass for Lukas as he moved through the room, he was wearing a simple black suit with a white shirt that he had worn to work earlier, and although it wasn't too tight the leather shoes made it harder for him to move on the forest.
'I should move faster, although most people would be frightened by the sudden change in the surroundings, surely most military personnel of all the countries would be teleported armed.' Lukas thought as he rushed through the clearing.
It didn't take him long to find movement, though he wasn't expecting the first thing he encountered to be a panda. Well, it looked like a dog and growled like a panda, but the name floating above its head was the only indication Lukas needed.
He aimed at the head a fired... blood splattered all over the ground which was a surprise to Lukas, he was expecting there to be something more but the dead body of the panda flopped over without any suspense.
'What was that for, wasn't that a little too easy? Why were pandas the ones selected to be the first contact anyway.'
...
...
'Just 5 Exp, killing Mark gave me 100 Exp, and there was no Exp reduction then...' Lukas thought, '...and what about the first kill title did someone already get it, it's been just over a minute since we got teleported.'
Lukas was still surprised that someone had taken away the first kill, it shouldn't be so easy to kill a monster that it was taken away in just a minute.
'Alright I lost that, I could focus on leveling up and upgrading my level, but this 50% exp reduction was a little too much wasn't it.' Lukas thought as he pushed further, although he wasn't sure if there even was one for killing a monster first but surely.
'Alright the only one I can think of should be to kill a member of another species, of course, given a panda is not counted in that one otherwise whoever got the first kill got two rewards.' Lukas thought as he kept walking.
It was a lonely few minutes as Lukas slowly crept through the forest, he realized that he had a little bit of time so he opened the panel to look through once again.
The one thing he wanted to see was the attributes of various stats, but before that, he clicked on the [Human{E}].
'Can I be anything other than Human too?'
...
...
'Interesting, what about the rest of the stats...'
...
'That's a lot of stuff to take in, on the other hand, the Soul stat means that I wouldn't have to worry about being sneak attacked in the earlier days of the tutorial.' Lukas deduced as he looked through the description of all the stats, he looked at the trees in his surroundings and then he started to increase his speed.
'Since I don't have to worry about a sneak attack I could rush faster...'
Lukas kept fiddling with his status panel, other than his stats there was not much information on there but he still was able to deduce the basics.
'Seeing that I had 0 Mana from the beginning and the way these differences in grades work it makes it very difficult to work solo. Teaming up would be the ideal way to go because if you select to focus on physical stats then you would be vulnerable to magic attacks.' Lukas thought he wasn't the most trustworthy person so teaming up was a no-go for him.
He wasn't sure what the world had in store for him but he looked at the {Psychopath} title in his status and sighed, 'Thankfully I got this title, otherwise I would have to pretend to be peaceful once again.'
Lukas was reminiscing about his miserable time in his corporate bank office when he suddenly sensed something in the distance, it was like a feeling that he knew that someone was there.
'3 people there I should sneak close since I have the info advantage.' Lukas thought as he stopped for a moment, his leather shoes were honestly not made for sneaking around as they sloshed too much so he had to slowly move forward.
It took Lukas around 5 minutes to sneak closer to the goblins, at least they looked like goblins from the fantasy stories, with green skin, they stood at just over 2 feet and were just wearing a what do you even call that?
'A forgot, it was something cloth...' Lukas thought as he took aim, the three of them were huddled around a small campfire as they shivered, they looked surprisingly humane as they comforted each other.
~Bang~
Lukas shot one straight through the head before he shot the other two in their chests. In a flash all three of them were down, one had his head blown apart while the other two were crawling on the ground.
A notification appeared in front of him, Lukas normally would have ignored it but this one was flashing red.
