An accounting by auresten historians of the fall of the katneral race from being the galaxy''''s most loathed and feared pirates, told from the point of view of said race''''s highest-ranked military leader. Includes extensive notes and explanations by the editor in a desperate (but ultimately, unsuccessful) attempt to stave off the inexhaustible human calls to their info lines with questions about anything and everything they should really figure out for themselves.I wish to also credit my long-time friend Khalendros with helping to spot plot holes and generally proof-reading the story.~14000 words, roughly 1 to 1.5 hours to read, intended as a self-contained story.Soft sci-fi intended to be mostly amusing, focusing on banter and direct character interactions.Possible warning: includes discussion (but not description) of violence and war atrocities.
